Any current customers of Audubon Veterinary Clinic--as well as anyone contemplating taking a pet there--should be made aware that this clinic uses the new pain killer Zorbium. This is an extemely controversial medication that is currently under investigation by the FDA and the maker Elanco has lost multiple lawsuits. It has caused close to 300 cat deaths and the FDA's records are more than six months behind. Dr. Olivia Young at Audubon is fully aware of the problems and, yet, refuses to discontinue using this poison. Our experience should be a warning to anyone who reads this review. We all know how veterinarians push dental work these days and I was talked into it. I had many misgivings. On March 13, 2025, my cat--seventeen years old and with active kidney disease--had dental surgery. Dr. Young administered Zorbium without telling me. This was done off label in a number of ways. Zorbium was never tested on cats older than five. And it specifically warns that it's not to be given to any cat with underlying health problems. Kidney disease is literally at the top of the list. Dr. Young apparently hasn't read the warnings. And obviously didn't care. She told me later she uses Zorbium off label "all the time." Her exact words. We lived a nightmare. Google "Zorbium" and you'll easily find hundreds of horror stories identical to ours. Over four thousand dollars in emergency care and multiple shots of Narcan. My cat was put into total kidney failure and never recovered. We lost her. Dr. Young must have said she was sorry fifty times. But would not agree to stop using this awful drug. So this is a warning. There are many vets in Spokane that do not use Zorbium. Find one. Read Less

This is the place to take your pets. I got my puppy's rabies shot here and a check up a few months ago and got a ton of information about grain-free food, plucking ear hair, and got medicine for her ear infection. I just moved into a new house and after a week she broke out into hives on her belly and the insides of her front legs. I called and they got us in that afternoon. I don't remember the doctors name but I will definitely call and request her the next time I go in. She was super helpful and concluded it's most likely an allergic reaction to the new carpets and to wash them twice with vinegar water and gave me a two week supply of anti-itch medication. Plus I'm top of that I was able to get the Parvo shot which was included with the exam price! Incredibly impressed with the prices and these professionals. This is the place to go in Spokane. I went to Audubon Veterinary Clinic today for my dog Lucy's rabies vaccine and an exam (they administered the shot at no extra cost!) From the moment I walked in it was a pleasant experience. The staff is polite and friendly, and seemed genuine. The wait in the lobby upon arriving was pretty much non-existant (I credit it that partially to the time of day I went which was 2pm on a monday). The veterinarian was informative and thorough and was very sweet and gentle with my shy, panicky 4 year old pomeranian. She made me feel like I was a good pet parent and that my dog is healthy and doing fine (sometimes I can be hard on myself). The only thing she recommended I do was have her nails trimmed as they were definitely getting too long. I had been to Garland Animal Clinic before for my pets needs and the overall vibe and atmosphere there vs Audubon is like night and day. No rude, cliquey, less than compassionate staff, no half hour wait to be seen when you came to your appt right on time, no anxiety and frustration regarding the care and services provided. Just a 1,000 times better experience all around. I will try Audubon again for any future pet needs, including my 2 kitties. I would definitely recommend :) Read Less
