I love these guys/gals. We have been taking our 2 dogs to them for many years. They treat them like they are family pets. And will explain things to me and are always there when I call and have questions. We have moved to the Valley from South Hill and will make the drive to take our dogs to them. The care here is so personal! They always remember my cat by name and he receives quick and professional care! When I have questions they are very thorough in responding even if the questions are more about behavior than medical issues. We have a new 8 week old puppy who got a speaking to by his older lab brother.  Turns out the day after the nip, our little guy was having problems staying awake, was shivering, was rolling his eyes back into his head.  Without much thought, we jumped into the car knowing that our vet was open on Saturdays.  They were literally closing up as we walked in the door and said they would at least give him a once over before likely sending us along to the Pet Emergency.  Christy Siems, our vet, was on staff and agreed to see this last 'patient' and we were so very relieved that it was just a little nip, appreciative that they felt our worries and agreed to see him and of course, as always - the treatment is top notch!  We were spared a trip to the Pet Emergency and the little guy, after two shots, is back to normal two days later!  I know that this would not always happen (seeing us on a Saturday, as they are closing and without an appointment), but the fact that it could even happen once is above and beyond and worthy of note and thanks! Moving from another state has so many things that make you crazy and finding a vet in Spokane I could trust was among the top 5.  I had had the same vet for over 20 years and was pretty apprehensive about finding a new one.  From the first annual exam visit to an emergency visit yesterday, this office has provided exceptional, appropriate care but more than that, the vets and vet techs are calm, patient and kind with my dog (who is fearful of his own shadow). From annual exams to funky skin rashes, a torn off due claw or simple, routine nail trims, I was comfortable throughout every exam.  They don't try to push services so they can profit. And they call you the next day to see how your pet is doing. The place is convenient, immaculate and everyone who works there deserves gold stars for the great services they provide.  Last summer I lost my flea and tic meds and had to scramble to get them the day before going on vacation.  They did not have what I lost but they went out the their way to provide an suitable alternative the same morning I called and I went on vacation with a happy dog.  Getting an appointment that suits my schedule is always possible, too.  I would recommend this practice to a friend. This is the only place to take your pets!!  I have  been going here for 16 years. My family has had cats, rats, and dogs and all are well cared for here by their loving yes I said loving staff. Dr.Genterman is top notch. You can tell he loves what he does for a living. He is gentle and always spot on with his diagnoses. He is honest and kind. The office staff are top notch. From the moment we walked in the door, I knew this was the place for us. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. Dr. Gentteman is amazing. He got on the floor and played with our puppy. He spent plenty of time giving us information and letting us ask questions. He is clearly well educated and keeps up on current literature regarding animals. I so appreciate him. Dr. Porter is the only other vet we've seen in the office. She is fine, but we are huge fans of Dr. G and recommend him whole-heartedly! Read Less

The staff and facilities are very nice, but the services are very expensive! I don't know if it's a new standard for Vet.'s or if it's because they are trying to pay for their recent remodel, but I paid $150+ more than I should have to get my puppy neutered. They have all these "add-ons" or special treatments that they give you without asking or telling first. Since when does a dog get human-grade general anesthetic for a basic castration? Anyway, I was disappointed that they weren't upfront about their special services, but I guess I should have asked rather than assumed. I am used to country Vet.'s, so I guess I learned my lesson.Also, I never even met the doctor. At my previous clinic, I met with the doctor every time I took my puppy in to be checked, even if it was just for a vaccination. Then I took my pup here to get surgery, and the doctor didn't even come talk to me. Bottom line is this: nice facilities and nice staff if you don't care how much you spend on your pet care.
