Everyone in this office is so friendly and helpful. After calling several vets in town, they were able to get my very sick dog in on short notice. The vet was very informative and took time to answer my endless list of questions. They even called a couple times after to check and make sure she was feeling better. I would like to recommend the Regal Veterinary Clinic for their compassionate care and for listening carefully to my concerns, and my answers to their questions about my cat's behavior. This visit didn't involve any trauma...just an annual visit with vaccinations...but it is because of the care, compassion, and attention to listening and discussion that I have confidence in their professionalism and care for whatever the future would bring! I've left 5 star reviews for Regal in the past, and I still believe that their docs care very much and know what they're doing. If not for the quality of the docs this would be a 1 star. If you're wealthy and can afford to be charged a 300 to 400% markup for medications (and probably services too), then this is a great vet. But seriously, you'll probably want to just find a place to fill any prescriptions you are given instead of getting the meds from Regal because the markup is horrible. Read Less

Moved my puppy here from North Carolina right around Christmas. She couldn't stop throwing up and this was the one place that took us last minute to get her checked out. Since then she has been back a couple different times and the staff is wonderful, she is still a wild and they are always so kind to help calm her down and get her what she needs to feel better. It's a bit of a drive to keep going to the south hill for vet vists but I love the office and the staff and the service so this is our vet now and we are very happy to make that drive! Read Less

They seem to truly want to care for your pets, and seem to treat the animals well. However, they regularly hit people with hidden fees & charges that aren't disclosed up front, even when asking for a written/printed quote ahead of time. This happens to be illegal under both state & federal law. I doubt I will return. I've made 3 visits for routine shots/exams & all 3 times ended up paying close to 3X what I was quoted up front. I am disabled & low income. 1 of my pets needed a yearly exam & updated shots. I was quoted $65 on the phone & at the front desk. However, when I went to pay the bill, it was nearly $170. They had tacked on a whole bunch of things that they didn't disclose nor ask my permission for. So I complained & was promised changes would be made. The 2nd time I went there, they did it to me again. 3X the quoted price. I threatened not to pay, so they threatened to keep my pet & give it to a stranger. This is no way to run a business! Like I said, I'm disabled & low income. I can barely afford a $40 - $60 vet bill, let alone one close to $180. I almost had my power/heat turned off because of that. I had to go to SNAP & get emergency help with my power/heat bill so it wouldn't be turned off. Read Less

First off: the service was quick, efficient, and correct. My dog had a staph infection on her throat. It was swiftly recognized for what it was, and the resolution was handled right away. The infection has almost completely resolved, so great care there. My only point of minimal dissatisfaction was a lack of conveying the cost associated with the minor procedure needed to address the wound and infection while on site. The staff whisked the dog away to take care of it, and offered no understanding as to what liability I would have at that point. Fortunately, the price was reasonable, so it worked out in the end. Overall, I would rate this as a good clinic to visit for veterinary services, and I don't feel that any shenanigans were afoot at all. We brought our 9 week old Blue Heeler in for a check up because she's been feeling under the weather and everyone here gave us amazing service! Dr. Katie & her assistant Jessica are amazing people and are currently going above and beyond to take care of Luna (our pup). I am so please with the service here. Not only were all the staff amazing with my 9 week old puppy during our visit, but they called the day after to make sure he was doing okay after his shots. I also had a concern with something on him, and called the office. I was advised that once a technician got in they would call me back. When I explained the concern, they asked if I was able to email a picture in since I couldn't bring him in. Dr. Watterson called me back to explain what was going on. she took the time out of her (I'm sure very busy) schedule to calm my fears. I would not recommend this vet office and if I could give no stars I would. Also, this happened about 6 years ago, I'm reviewing now because for several years I couldn't even talk about it but now I think others could learn from my experience. They (dr Watterson) misdiagnosed my Chihuahua for an entire year and he ended up dying tragically. I had been bringing him in for coughing symptoms that were NOT normal for him... I had no idea he had a fatal condition and it broke my heart when I had to end his sweet life a year later from beginning symptoms. I found out later that his condition (collapsing trachea) is actually very common in small dogs and Chihuahuas (the vet NEVER even mentioned this condition) but they kept saying he had "allergies" and then "chronic bronchitis" and prescribed useless allergy medications and antibiotics and steroids....he was 7 years old and I knew something was wrong and SHOULD have gone for a second opinion...but live and learn and I ended up taking him to the Pet Emergency on Mission to be euthanized when he started panting due to not getting air. The doctor at the emergency clinic was very good and said that my dog had one of the worst collapsing trachea he has seen. IF my dog was properly and correctly diagnosed in the first place, there is a surgery that my dog COULD have been a candidate for...but I never got that choice because my dog was misdiagnosed and I didn't have the understanding to get a second opinion... Please, get second or even third opinions if you have any doubts about any vets diagnosis...it could give you more options and possibly even save your pets life. Btw, they sent me FLOWERS and a sympathy card after my dog died....flowers? ? I'm sure they don't send flowers to every pet owner who loses their beloved pet (although I don't know for sure)...I feel they KNEW they messed up, hence the flowers. I should note, the vet NEVER called me to discuss his case...I feel I deserved an apology at least...nothing. Read Less

Dr. Katie Dull has been the doctor working with us, and with the many animals we've brought in. Every time we've been in, she's been very empathetic and gentle with our animals, and she's also very straight forward. She talks to you through the examination, and tells you everything she's seeing and feeling, and if there happens to be a concern or abnormality, she gives you the strictly clinical information involved, then she tells you what her personal treatment plan would be, but she still lays out all of the treatment options depending on what you feel the most comfortable with. She's never recommended anything that would be a waste of money, and no matter what you chose to do she's always very professional and encouraging, and will inform you of anything you can expect, good or bad. We unfortunately had to put our cat down, however when we first brought her in, she told us that our cat wasn't looking good, but she didn't want to give up. We tried hard, and I felt that Dr. Katie really truly wanted our cat to make a turn for the better. However despite our efforts, our cat wasn't going to make it. Throughout the process, Dr. Katie was very informative, gentle, understanding and empathetic. It was a very tough process, but I do feel like she helped us get through everything without leaving us full of doubts or regrets with our little kitty.On top of a very caring vet, the staff is always very kind and sociable. They saved our Best Friend's life, and were so tolerant of us the entire time. We found them on a weekend where all vet offices near us were closed. Now, don't care about the drive. They seem to care about the animals by calling to check up on them and how they handle them but at the same time it feels like they are taking advantage of them (or us). The communication between them and us isn't completely clear. One visit our cat had this and another he has that. Plus they seem to not communicate the costs for their tests well. Wish we had money to not worry about that but we can't keep wasting money beating around the bush or bringing them in and spending money on the tests and just walking through the door. My cat was suddenly sick and this was the only vet I could get him into on such short notice. The atmosphere reminds me of the animal shelter. Very cold. The staff are all fairly nice and welcoming. We saw Dr. Prince and she decided to take X-rays. They gave him barium before hand (never telling us how much it would cost.) they saw his esophagus was inflamed she guessed it was a bacterial infection and sent us on our way after giving him fluids and sending him home with antibiotics. The ENTIRE time they were heavily pushing their crappy hills science diet prescription food. I bought one can so they would leave us alone. Ended up costing us over $400 for essentially nothing. Didn't find out what was wrong and he ended up getting worse. We took him to a cat specialist vet and spent substantially less for far more. (Stayed two nights, fluids, enema, multiple X-rays.) Moral of the story - I wouldn't recommend this place. They're only interested in pushing product. Try one of the cat only clinics in Spokane if your kitty is sick! Read Less

It takes a lot for me to be upset enough to write a bad review. Pets don't become sick 'by appointment'. My cat became gravely ill within a 24-hour period -- on a Sunday when my regular vet is closed. First, I had to leave a message explaining the situation because they couldn't pick up (they were open). Second, I finally get a call back about two hours later! Third, I'm told they can't see my cat because there were 'no appointment times available'. Really!? I figured as much on a Sunday, but I mistakenly thought veterinarians were supposed to help sick animals. Instead they suggest I go clear across town to the emergency clinic. So, here I am wasting precious time hauling my cat in pain clear across Spokane (from me). Well I have four pets; and my family had been considering switching vets. Well, thank you, Regal Veterinary Clinic, you won't be seeing our business in the future. P.S. As of now, our beloved cat is going to make it, no thanks to Regal. Read Less

Both Dr. Katie and Dr. Melinda are very nice and gentle with the animals. I have a mini daschund and he HATES the vet and makes every effort to jump off the table, snip at techs, and run out the front door. The vets & techs both took the time to calm him and introduce themselves before they started their exams. While there are cheaper vets out there I believe you get what you pay for. At Regal Veterinary Clinic you can rest assured that your furry family member will be treated with TLC. I'll pay $10 more for that. Read Less

Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. They give great service and they are way cheaper than any vet I've had back in California. They also give tons of discounts (AAA, military, student, to name a few). I took one of my dogs in to get a vaccine updated and a few days later, I received a letter from Regal Vet welcoming me to Spokane and thanking me for coming in. I've never had that kind of care from a vet =) I also received an ID card for my dog listing her weight, color, etc, and also listing all her current vaccines and their due dates.
