I thought they were all very kind and loving to my new puppy and my family...The first time I called to schedule an appointment was right at there closing and I did not feel rushed or an annoyance from the nice employee on the phone she took the time to answer all my questions and schedule my appt. When I show up the all come and say hi to me and my puppy know us by name and come give her attention..Both doctor I have used were very nice and listen to me and offer advice they were never pushy or did I feel like I was being made to pay for thing not needed..over all I was very impressed with the level of service I have received her..,I have already recommended this place to others. They have treated our personal pets and our foster dogs for the past 7 years. They've helped us navigate three dogs through terminal cancer diagnosis and one through degenerative myelopethy (also terminal). Long story short: unless you are 100% confident and assertive about your pet, they will take every opportunity to milk as much money out of you as possible. I have written my full story about my experience below if you would like to read more about why I say this.I recently found and subsequently adopted an abandoned kitten, and took him to The Humane Society for his first round of vaccines and deworming. He became very lethargic, ran a fever, and his whole body was sensitive to my touch. I was pretty sure he was having an allergic reaction to his vaccines from the previous day, but I was worried and took him to Dr. Sneider at SouthCare Animal Medical Center. Since I did not know the history of the kitten, they manipulated me into getting FIV/FELV testing AND x-rays to rule out trauma, despite me telling them that these symptoms only presented themselves AFTER VACCINES. Dr. Sneider told me, “I’ve been working here for ten years and I’ve only seen one cat have an allergic reaction to vaccines.” Well, my kitten makes two, because 24 hours after paying a $450+ bill and picking him up, he was back to himself and completely fine. The x-rays were pointless, the FIV/FELV testing was pointless, but they manipulated me and took advantage of my love and dedication to my pet. I had previously taken my older cat there for what I suspected was an upper respiratory infection, and I left with a $200+ bill because the doctor talked me into precautionary deworming, flea/tick prevention, and ear mite treatment when my cat didn’t even have ear mites. All in all, I will not be returning to this vet under any circumstance. There are plenty of other vets in Spokane, and I’m sure that I will find one that will treat me and my pets like patients and not like cash cows. Read Less

They're wonderful with pets, and ensure the best quality of service possible. In the lobby, there's always adorable kittens(on the cat side of course) the lobby has good, calming decor, and they appear to truly care about their customers and pets. If you would like proof, they have a candle on their service desk. When this is lit, it means a pet is being put down, and you should stay quiet so as to show respect. Their service rooms look very good and contain calming decor, and seem to feel like home to pets. When we've brought our pets on several occasions, the staff provided service with a smile and helped us while managing to not cause either our pet, or us stress. I am newer to the area and am so glad to have found Southcare Vet Clinic.  They have done a great job helping me get all the shots needed for my 9 month old Chihuahua.  Additionally, recently my 17 year old cat was diagnosed with an aggressive sarcoma and she had to be put down.  The vet staff did an excellent job trying to figure out what was wrong with her without spending a ton of money on unnecessary tests.  When became clear it was something very serious, they talked us through all of our options and what was best for my cat.  Through the whole thing, I was a total crying mess.   I get teary-eyed even thinking about it but everyone was so kind and understanding.  After my cat passed, they sent a sympathy card with her paw print.  There were handwritten notes from several members of the Southcare team that helped take care of her.  It really meant so much to me.  Thank you Southcare, you have certainly gained a very loyal customer due to your level of service and the way you clearly care about the animals you treat. Very friendly staff, minimal wait time. They were kind and gentle to my cat who is very timid and frail. They didn't try to upsell anything and made recommendations for cheap, easy, in home maintenance for my cat. Luckily I haven't had any health scares with my cat, I think that's what causes most bad reviews for vets, when clients' pets get undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. Read Less

We made our appt and the day of we happened to be a few minutes late but they had no problem with it. Very kind staff and a clean office. Since then, his practice, expertise, staff and service have grown beyond compare. Here you will find competent and responsive medical care for your animals. The staff members and vet assistants are wonderfully compassionate and friendly. If your pet becomes suddenly ill, rest assured they will make room to treat your pet without haste. I can't give the review i would like to give as I haven't been in for services....yet. But, I did just hold a lengthy conversation with one of the vet techs over the phone and the friendliness, concern, knowledge they had during that call, is definitely enough for me to make this "my" vet when I do need one. I have lived in Spokane for nearly 2 years and haven't needed to make a vet visit, but this place being so close to where I live I have driven by several times and so today when I had a problem with Kitty (yes, that is my cats name) I called originally to make an appointment but thought I would ask a simple question first. The receptionist transferred me to a vet tech (I believe her name is Jenny) which walked me through several things and didn't rush the call I was actually surprised at the time she took to answer questions and information she gave. Several vets I would call and would just be told to come in, or if I did get to speak to a tech, they weren't very personal at all. It's nice to have that in a place that care for customers and try to help them over the phone without actually even being customers. Any pet owner knows we consider them our family, and it's nice to have a vet that treats them the same way. Of course, never being in the facility I dropped it to 4 stars, but when I do need to go, I will definitely update this review to include the whole experience.UPDATE: I did end up taking in my kitty, and everyone there was very friendly and were able to see us the same day. Also, pretty reasonably priced. The visit was only $60 for the check up, though we won't talk about the cost of X-rays but we all know vets are expensive. I would (and will) definitely come here again and continue to make this my vet of choice. You won't be disappointed. I just moved to Spokane and was looking for a new vet for my two cats. I picked Southcare because of its convenient location and in-house laboratory. They far exceeded my expectations! The facilities are very clean and the doctors and staff are wonderful! I really appreciated that the doctors will sit with you to answer any and all questions you may have no matter how long it takes. They also took the time to talk with me over the phone.
