Very caring and professional staff. Have a genuine interest in the care and health of my pets. Cannot say enough good things about my experience here after almost losing my cat. Dr. Purvis(sp?) went above and beyond and took a lot of time to thoroughly go through all discharge instructions. Several follow up calls from the vet clinic to see how my cat was doing even after he was discharged 2 weeks ago. So much more to say. Just truly impressed with the care my cat received. I have taken pets to other vet clinics and even to a different location of VCA, but have never gotten this level of service. The staff are kind and attentive, and they all treated my Buddy as if he was their own. He has never been so calm as he was when we visited any other clinic (and he pigged out on treats). I feel like I hit the jackpot when I met Dr. Cathey through a local area trainer. I witnessed first hand how she interacted with our difficult dog and decided she would be our vet. Every person I have worked with at the VCA Mainto Clinic has come across as caring, professional and committed to ensuring my animals (and me) have a positive experience at the clinic. I take all 4 of my pets to this clinic and would highly recommend it. I even take my most difficult pet to their groomer, Victoria. She is so patient and caring and does a fantastic job. I recently moved from the South Hill to Hillyard but have continued to use VCA Manito as my vet for my 3 dogs. Josie recently had an ear infection and everyone was very professional and nice. Josie can be a little stubborn. The techs and the vets took really good care of her. They always follow up the next day to see how your pet is doing. If you are looking for a vet please give them an opportunity. If you want tell them Josie sent you, I don't know if it will get you anything but it's worth a try. Read Less

The office staff are forgetful and will ask you the same question 5 times because they don't communicate or note properly.. But the Vet will make it all worth it. She was understanding, kind, knowledgeable, and went out of her way to make sure my kitty was taken care of. Read Less

The doctors are great and we specifically came here for the grooming. Our pup is a little onery and they provided a solution that worked for us. Victoria is a wonderful groomer and takes time with our dog. I highly recommend them! Read Less

The vet is wonderfully patient with my very grumpy dog. Sadly all my dog wants to do is attack and defend himself at the vet, but the doctor and assistants all handle the situation calmly, kindly, and professionally. I've been impressed every time. Read Less

Our dog for attacked by two other dogs and we decided to take him to this vet. We ended up having to put him down. They were so kind and understanding. They multiple times helped us find the best solutions. They were also very understanding of our money situation. They even sent us a card after we had to put the our dog down. Very good people.
