He is extremely caring and takes as much time as he needs to answer all our questions, explain everything and has a great sense of humour. Every time I go there I know my kitties are getting the best care possible!

After our last appointment I felt I had to post - This is a great place to take care of your animal 'kids'. We've been going to Animal Medical since moving to Vanc. in 2003.
If you want your questions answered, Dr. Ferguson will take the time to explain options, and provide care - reasonably.
I've never felt overcharged, or under serviced at Animal Medical.
And at some appointments - the Doc just cracks me up with his perspective on some topics.

Love love love Animal Medical. Family members referred me to this office. I am a first time dog-owner with two wonderful pups. We've had a few little problems with the dogs over the last 2 years, and Dr. Ferguson and his staff always take the time to explain everything to me and have gone the extra mile more than once to allay my fears or get me what I needed. There is little staff turnover, and that speaks volumes. They are WONDERFUL, very compassionate, and they treat us like family.

I've been taking my pets to Dr. Ferguson since 1994, and would never consider using another provider. The staff is amazing, always friendly, and can always get my dog in, even at the last minute. Even during the 10 years I lived in Portland I would drive over to him instead of taking my dog to someone closer and risking not finding a good one. With the exception of a very sick cat many years ago, I've never had to deal with any major health issues with any of my pets, but I know that if I ever do have an urgent need I can trust Dr. Ferguson to provide the very best care.

I brought my two dogs into the office today for a check up and some vaccines. One of my dogs is from the humane society and has a history of mange and skin allergies, so he is missing hair on some parts of his body and he has dandruff issues as well. Anyway, I had a million questions because I wanted to make sure everything was okay and see what my options were to help with his skin issues. The front office staff were wonderful, the waiting room was clean, but my favorite part was our veterinarian. He was extremely knowledgable, patient, friendly, loved my dogs, and did not try to push any products on me whatsoever. He gave me information on different products, gave me his honest opinion, and then let me decide. He was very open and honest and had answers to all of my questions. He definitely helped to lower my anxiety because I was also switching veterinary clinics due to distance and that worried me since I had been at my previous vet for over 7 years. Everything went smoothly and the entire experience was beyond what I expected.

Awesome staff, knowledgeable and caring. Love the kennel care. When we had to leave our dog for 5 days we were so concerned since longest was 2 nights. We picked him up and not stressed at all then had to go back within a day because forgot to have nails clipped while staying over and thought he would just brace himself as if to say don't take me again. He ran up to the caregiving staff and happy to see them. This meant a lot to us. Really appreciate having them available and recommend them.

I love this place, I had taken my dogs to banfield for years because of the convenience, but was tired of the cost and all the extra meds they wanted my dog to take. I decided if I wouldn't take extra medicine, why would I have my dog do so. Dr. Ferguson is great even with the anti-social dog I was babysitting and had to take in. After my little dog was attacked by large loose dogs, he reassured me that I did what I could have and treated my dog conservatively yet more than adequately. Highly recommend. I know many people who have gone here for years and also love it.

I'm not one to give feedback on my experiences, but this clinic and veterinarian was so good to Riley and I that I feel compelled to do so. The entire staff was very welcoming and gentle with Riley, the prices are very reasonable, and I was never pressured to have unnecessary tests done (which is a big deal for me considering previous vets we have gone to). Dr. Ferguson spent a lot of time discussing canine health with me and was incredibly thorough! I loved that I left feeling as though I took a course in canine A&P and armed with more knowledge to care for Riley's needs. I don't think I will ever go to another Vet again:-)

Dr. Ferguson is helpful, understanding, and doesn't run every test under the sun. He is NOT one of those vet offices that does unnecessary treatments and tests. He goes above and beyond during the examination and takes the time to answer any questions that you have (and believe me, I usually have a list).It is extremely hard to find a good vet that you trust and can provide you the answers that you need. I have been to multiple vets, but he is the first that I can say I honestly trust. I'm so glad we found him and will continue to use him in the future. I cannot recommend him enough.Here is a more detailed account of a recent experience:Dr. Ferguson originally diagnosed two of our dogs (at different times this year) as having a mast cell tumor. He was very helpful and informative regarding our treatment options. We decided to go with him versus a specialist partly due to cost, but mostly because we trust him. He was very understanding and gave us all of the information we needed to make the best decision for us. We were able to get the surgeries scheduled quickly. The surgeries were affordable compared to what a specialist would cost and everything went well. The tumors came back as low grade with clean lines. I also asked him his opinion regarding my mother's 13 year old corgi (family dog growing up) in California that hasn't been doing well and has been at the vet on fluids for the last 3 days. He provided me some very good advice that I will pass on to my family.

Vancouver is very fortunate to have a great Dr and Staff as those at Animal Medical.
I refer them for their honesty and integrity to both our pets and us owners.

We love Animal Medical! Not only does Dr. Ferguson know his stuff, he doesn't try to sell unnecessary care or expensive, heroic procedures. Jasmine (vet tech.) is wonderful to work with, and handles our dog and us with respect and humor. The office consistently smells good and seems clean; our appointment times are on schedule; everything has been very well explained; our dog is handled with care; prices are competitive; easy to schedule appointments; calm atmosphere and we are treated with respect. Have never had a negative thing to say in 3 years.

Dr. Ferguson is the best vet I have ever taken pets to! We have been going here for the last 4 years and will never go anywhere else! He is very interested in the problem at hand, and treats our pets like they were his own. The best is that he is point blankly honest and up front with you. We had a very sick cat last year, and I know that he could of rung us dry financially doing tests, but he broke down all of my options and then gave me his honest opinion and he was right. The staff and Dr. Ferguson are the best you will find. Their care and compassion for animals is second to none, and it shows in everything they do!

Even during the 10 years I lived in Portland I would drive over to him instead of taking my dog to someone closer and risking not finding a good one. With the exception of a very sick cat many years ago, I've never had to deal with any major health issues with any of my pets, but I know that if I ever do have an urgent need I can trust Dr. Ferguson to provide the very best care.

I brought my two dogs into the office today for a check up and some vaccines. One of my dogs is from the humane society and has a history of mange and skin allergies, so he is missing hair on some parts of his body and he has dandruff issues as well. Anyway, I had a million questions because I wanted to make sure everything was okay and see what my options were to help with his skin issues. The front office staff were wonderful, the waiting room was clean, but my favorite part was our veterinarian. He was extremely knowledgable, patient, friendly, loved my dogs, and did not try to push any products on me whatsoever. He gave me information on different products, gave me his honest opinion, and then let me decide. He was very open and honest and had answers to all of my questions. He definitely helped to lower my anxiety because I was also switching veterinary clinics due to distance and that worried me since I had been at my previous vet for over 7 years. Everything went smoothly and the entire experience was beyond what I expected.

Awesome staff, knowledgeable and caring. Love the kennel care. When we had to leave our dog for 5 days we were so concerned since longest was 2 nights. We picked him up and not stressed at all then had to go back within a day because forgot to have nails clipped while staying over and thought he would just brace himself as if to say don't take me again. He ran up to the caregiving staff and happy to see them. This meant a lot to us. Really appreciate having them available and recommend them.

I love this place, I had taken my dogs to banfield for years because of the convenience, but was tired of the cost and all the extra meds they wanted my dog to take. I decided if I wouldn't take extra medicine, why would I have my dog do so. Dr. Ferguson is great even with the anti-social dog I was babysitting and had to take in. After my little dog was attacked by large loose dogs, he reassured me that I did what I could have and treated my dog conservatively yet more than adequately. Highly recommend. I know many people who have gone here for years and also love it.

Animal Medical is easily the best animal clinic I have been to. Dr. Ferguson is very knowledgeable. He is very straightforward and gives multiple options when discussing care. He is able to help the client weigh the pros and cons of each choice as well as the cost. He is also very personable and pleasant. Would recommend this clinic to any of my friends.

I'm not one to give feedback on my experiences, but this clinic and veterinarian was so good to Riley and I that I feel compelled to do so. The entire staff was very welcoming and gentle with Riley, the prices are very reasonable, and I was never pressured to have unnecessary tests done (which is a big deal for me considering previous vets we have gone to). Dr. Ferguson spent a lot of time discussing canine health with me and was incredibly thorough! I loved that I left feeling as though I took a course in canine A&P and armed with more knowledge to care for Riley's needs. I don't think I will ever go to another Vet again:-)

Dr. Ferguson is helpful, understanding, and doesn't run every test under the sun. He is NOT one of those vet offices that does unnecessary treatments and tests. He goes above and beyond during the examination and takes the time to answer any questions that you have (and believe me, I usually have a list).It is extremely hard to find a good vet that you trust and can provide you the answers that you need. I have been to multiple vets, but he is the first that I can say I honestly trust. I'm so glad we found him and will continue to use him in the future. I cannot recommend him enough.Here is a more detailed account of a recent experience:Dr. Ferguson originally diagnosed two of our dogs (at different times this year) as having a mast cell tumor. He was very helpful and informative regarding our treatment options. We decided to go with him versus a specialist partly due to cost, but mostly because we trust him. He was very understanding and gave us all of the information we needed to make the best decision for us. We were able to get the surgeries scheduled quickly. The surgeries were affordable compared to what a specialist would cost and everything went well. The tumors came back as low grade with clean lines. I also asked him his opinion regarding my mother's 13 year old corgi (family dog growing up) in California that hasn't been doing well and has been at the vet on fluids for the last 3 days. He provided me some very good advice that I will pass on to my family.

I refer them for their honesty and integrity to both our pets and us owners.

We love Animal Medical! Not only does Dr. Ferguson know his stuff, he doesn't try to sell unnecessary care or expensive, heroic procedures. Jasmine (vet tech.) is wonderful to work with, and handles our dog and us with respect and humor. The office consistently smells good and seems clean; our appointment times are on schedule; everything has been very well explained; our dog is handled with care; prices are competitive; easy to schedule appointments; calm atmosphere and we are treated with respect. Have never had a negative thing to say in 3 years.

Dr. Ferguson is the best vet I have ever taken pets to! We have been going here for the last 4 years and will never go anywhere else! He is very interested in the problem at hand, and treats our pets like they were his own. The best is that he is point blankly honest and up front with you. We had a very sick cat last year, and I know that he could of rung us dry financially doing tests, but he broke down all of my options and then gave me his honest opinion and he was right. The staff and Dr. Ferguson are the best you will find. Their care and compassion for animals is second to none, and it shows in everything they do!
