This is an incredibly generous, caring, and friendly clinic. My 10-year-old puggle just moved here with me - he got sick and they agreed to see him on the same day even though he wasn't an established "patient" yet. They successfully treated him and he was feeling better by that evening. I've been to subsequent appointments since and everyone continued to be friendly, welcoming, and the veterinarians/techs have a fantastic bedside manner. I definitely made the right choice! They really helped both of my dogs feel better when they had tummy troubles. And it took a couple of tries to get the right treatment but they didn't break my bank! As hard as it was to put our baby down, Columbia Vet made it comfortable. We had to put our fifteen year old mini schnauzer down on Thanksgiving day last year. It was so hard but they were extremely patient and explained everything to us to make us comfortable. The staff is well trained and the doctor was straight forward with us. Came in when my Doberman got hit by a car, the response was quick they take care of my dog really fast. But when it came to doing something they wouldn't do anything without money up front. At the time I was low on funds and would definitely be able to do payments but they wouldn't do it and sent my dog back home right now my dog's leg is all infected and I'm really scared that it might get amputated. For just the wrapping and couple shots and some pills they charge me over $300 and did nothing. Read Less

The best vets and staff by far. It is evident they are there because they truly love animals and not to just profit from them. Every time I visit the staff is warm and welcoming and both staff and vets take the time to greet and comfort/play with my dog to put her at ease instead of just starting in on any exams. The welcome calls to ask questions and if the staff can't answer them right away they call back ASAP with advice from the vet - and more often than not I'm given advice on things to keep an eye out for instead of saying to just make an appointment. Love the receptionist!  She is very sweet and understanding.  I had to reschedule twice,  second time on the same day because we had to take my son to a doctor for a rash. When we finally got in,  the building is a bit dated but everything is in very good working condition.  You can tell they take care of the clinic. Dr Grazel was very kind and understanding.  My normally nippy pomeranian was very calm around her and even had his nails trimmed. We were concerned about our pom limping and she was able to determine that he has a loose patella.  She explained that his knee occasionally pops out.  I'm thankful that she did not push for unnecessary surgery and explained how to massage his knee into place when we notice him limping.  Overall great experience and I will continue services there as long as we are in Vancouver :D Read Less

This is a review I should of written last year. Columbia Vet had been taking care of Marty ,my cat and best friend, for many years and through his long illness. He had diabetes and got the very best care. In March, 2015 Marty became very sick. It was obvious he had come to the end of his life. Marty was transfered to an emergency hospital so he could get care through the night. We made the horrible decision to have him euthanized. I will always miss him. I have taken both my dogs and cat here for yearly exams, acute issues (i.e. skin rash, fever, etc.), and spay surgeries. They have always been extremely helpful and very reasonably priced. From reception to vet techs to veterinarian's they have always made me feel that they have the best intentions for your pet at heart and truly enjoy their jobs. Also, I don't recall the exact situation as it was several years ago but there was a point that I was having financial issues and they went above and beyond working with me to ensure I got the care for my animals that was necessary. We have been using this clinic since moving to the area in 2012. Dr. Cleveland and her employees have been amazing. They have performed surgeries and nursed the dogs back to good health. They are very accommodating and work with us since we elect to drive there from near Tigard, OR due to their outstanding care. When we had to have our nearly 16 year old dog put down, they were as compassionate as they could possibly be. It was a horrible day, but they truly cared about our pet and our feelings! We found our chocolate lab over a year ago and brought her there to look for a microchip and have her checked. They were thorough with Willow (who we first named Mocha) and were very caring! We got her back to good health with their help! The only thing we were unhappy about is that when we wanted to talk with the Vet about surgical removal of a large tumor on her left 'hock' and growths she had on her back just above her tail this Vet said 'not now' and did not want to discuss it. We had been bringing her there several times for continued care that cost about $200-300 each time and we were in good standing paying in full with each visit. It greatly perplexed us so we took Willow to our Vet for our other animals, Companion Pet Clinic removed the growths with success and she is now a very happy, playful dog now with a beautiful coat and loving her new family. Dr Tammy Cleveland is great. But after our puppy had surgery there (not by Tammy) and the surgery did not hold they would not guarantee their work. We then took our fur baby to TWO other vet that informed us the surgery was not done correctly. I spoke to the office and they offered to redo the surgery but we would have to pay for it again. If it was not done correctly the first time I do not want them to do it a second time. With a heavy heart we must find a new vet. Read Less

A hiccup in our daily routine prompted a visit to the clinic. My pup had a reoccurrence of an infected bum, and I was able to come in that day, despite not having been seen there before. I have been a patient here since 2006 when we moved to the area. I couldn't ask for a more compassionate vet than Dr. Cleveland & staff. Not only did she offer exceptional care for my boxer while he went through some tough issues, she took it a step further and was as heartbroken as we were when we had to put him down. I have gone here for both planned and emergency visits. They aren't a traditional vet clinic, but they do have specialists for almost anything your animal could need. One of my dogs visits the ophthalmologist (yeah, I thought that was bizarre too!) for her dry eye syndrome. The staff is friendly, gentle, and attentive. We unfortunately had to make an emergency visit recently. The staff called a triage nurse to the lobby immediately upon entering. They took her back, checked her vitals, and had her back to me in 10 minutes. During the short wait between triage and the doctor, my poor pooch vomited the entire contents of her tiny tummy all over me, the lobby floor, and several of the chairs. Nobody complained. They ran out quickly with paper towels to clean up her mess, help me clean up mine, and offer her a comfy towel to be wrapped in (she's quite small). We were offered a plethora of options to suit our budget, and weren't rushed out as we asked our bajillion questions. I even got a follow up call the next morning!
