My visit with them was one of the worst days of my life. I had been going to them for a year and a half for my dogs itching problem. I took her the other day to see why she was still itchy while taking meds costing 60 dollars a month. The vet told me it would cost 500 for my visit that day for thyroid check and skin scraping. I told them I could not pay that, they offered me a credit card option. I know we are stretched too thin now and started to cry. I decided to surrender her to the humane society if they would have their vet find out why she was still itching, I didn't want to lose her but I had to do something to help her. They gave me back my dog from the hiden back room and I waited for the bill at the counter, hysterical by now because I'm a terrible fur mom. I told her to Bill me and ran to my van as the counter person told me it would cost 84 dollars. We were already out the door, and as I got to my van the vet was running toward me. I pushed 80 dollars at him and got in my van. I cried all the way home. I talked to my old boss who told me to call a vet in neenah. I called them and they told me if I came in and got all the things that was offered it would cost 150..not 500. Zeva has an apt there next week. Even her pills are half their price. I paid 80 dollars to this vet and got nothing except they told me that I needed to pay another 500 for them to help her. Do not go there. My mistake is that I should have called for pricing first. The vet said that a visit with your animal if it's healthy is 20 dollars less then if it's sick..what? Again..go to the vet in Neenah..these people are heartless and expensive!!! They have 5 vet office people, maybe paying all of them is why there is such a price problem. They never told me why the visit was 84 dollars. They don't care to tell me and I don't care to ever go back. I can't afford them

They took care of my cat when she needed to be spayed. Rory is afraid of the Vet and can get rather aggressive, however they rolled with the punches and handled her better than I had seen at my previous vet office. I picked her up the following day and they informed me very well of how she did over night and what I should expect in the next few days. I had a lot anxiety getting her fixed. I was fully comfortable leaving her there with them. One of the best experiences I've had!

I've moved a few times, and have brought my Pug (Wonton) to three other Vet clinics in the areas we were living. At two of those clinics, Wonton would leave stressed, and in one instance gasping after a nail trim. Animals have a keen sense of we "humans", and show there comfort level by their actions. At Apple Valley, she leaves with her tail wagging, & stress free. We are glad to be back in the area, and able to return to the living care, and great staff.

The entire staff is very friendly, and treated my dog with such kindness (despite my little diva-dog's stranger-danger growls and attitude). I love that instead of just prescribing expensive allergy meds to cover up symptoms, their first approach was to narrow down the source of the allergy. We brought our (almost) 16 year old dog in last month with rashes (allergy/infection) and a terrifying rear-leg paralysis, and with Dr. Carla's help our little lassie is now up and walking, and healing up! She took the time to talk extensively with us when we had questions, and never shamed me for wanting to stick to a budget--in fact, she helped us understand the pro's and con's of each suggested treatment, and what to expect going forward. Our dog is happy and well, and I feel we spent each penny wisely! I am grateful! I love that they write the names of the dog's coming in on their welcome board--my kids liked seeing our dog's name up there... it's the personal touch that makes this place special!

The staff is very friendly and informed and were very good at answering all of my questions. However, I received an email that my cat needed a booster as a follow up to his neuter. Upon arriving at the appointment, they had no records of his neuter- apparently the files hadn't been updated. Turns out he also received the vaccine in question at his procedure appointment. I was then advised to give him an additional vaccine. I had adopted my pet, and was advised that the previous agency would be covering his medical expenses. However, upon exit, was informed that since it was an elective vaccine, it would be my responsibility. The lack of record keeping is alarming, and as a pet owner, I feel a bit manipulated. I asked for a copy of his records and won't be returning.

Will not be returning to this place. First appointment there was a nice experience, however, second appointment was upsetting. Went in second time for a boost shot for my kitten. They gave my kitten a "calming shot" which was NOT consented by me. The vet didn't explain what it was until she was already sticking the needle in. I didn't question her because I thought it was the booster shot that was planned.
Then, they had me set up another appointment for a shot that my kitten was already given during the first appointment. I went home and thought about it some more. It confused me so I emailed them asking for a history of my kitten's shots but they only sent me a list of future shots needed. I cancelled that appointment and will be looking for a new vet.
I cannot trust them.

Tried to charge me that to clip nails and clean ears which according to paper work I had was included! One lady came out, assuming the manager and she proceeded to inform me not everything is complimentary, we need to eat and make our house payments or rent! Really? Then they started whispering like we weren't even there! The doctor very nice but the hidden so called extra fees and front staff need work! And just curious why they had to take my cat to different room to trim nails. Heard cat screaming, hopefully didn't take anything out on her. She's such a gentle girl. Will never go back and will spread the word. The manager treated us like 2nd class citizens! My opinion? Stay in your office until you can work on your people skills!

This is a great vet clinic. We went there once, after a bad experience with our usual clinic, and we were so impressed with Apple Valley.They are in Appleton and we are in Oshkosh, so we ended up going to a local vet due to distance, but Apple Valley is definitely a top choice for us.They have our cat's prescription food, which I couldn't find at any other vets office, and all I had to do was call and have them hold a bag for me.I cannot remember the vet we saw, but she was amazing. She was knowledgable, personable, and really kind. Their staff takes the time to answer all concerns and questions and they are all so friendly. They have clinic cats that are so loving and sweet.They tended to be a tad more affordable than our usual vet as well.We would go back for sure.

This was my first visit to a vet and I was nervous but my cat Bubba was ill so it was necessary. All the staff members that I encountered were amazing. The receptionists are helpful and courteous. The nurse was awesome with Bubba! She tried to make him more comfortable as he was very scared. Dr Jain was the best! Everything was clearly explained to me (prognosis and treatment options) and I felt comfortable leaving my beloved animal in their care. The cost was fair and affordable. My cat is now on the path to better health.

I have been bringing my animals here since 2005. I love this clinic and the entire crew. They will go above and beyond for your pets and not overcharge you in the process. My cat has food allergies and when his regular food changed the recipe Jennifer went out of her way to help find a food that he can eat. I cannot thank her and this clinic enough for everything they have done for my family.

We have had several health issues for our "furry buddies" and they have been right there trying to find the solution. I highly recommend Apple Valley for trusted care!!!
June 2016 Update: I am still highly recommending Apple Valley for all your pets care. One of our cats needs thyroid meds and both of them routinely have minor issues and ALL their needs are met with concern and a thorough exam. They have a great system that contacts you with reminders of necessary shots, etc and a follow up text or email to assure you will have your pets ready. This is the best place to take your pets!!!

Well, this review should have been written a few months ago, when my puppy died there after her spay. I dropped my absolutely healthy puppy off in the morning along with the paperwork needed for her to get spayed. There was a question in the forms that I had not understood. I put a huge question mark next to it and addressed it with the receptionist when I got there. It had to do with testing her for allergies to medication. The receptionist shrugged her shoulders and informed me I shouldn't worry about it, that that testing "was more for older dogs". Ok, I didn't know the answer so I followed her advice. I don't care how much that testing would have cost me, I would have gladly paid had the receptionist given me the correct advice. A few hours later I get a phone call saying they had "lost" her. Why? How? I asked... Did not get a satisfying answer. It could have been that she was allergic to some of the medication, says the vet. I flipped. I could have burned that place down. I inquired about the allergy testing as I dropped my puppy off to be slaughtered. My husband was out of town so I drove there to pick her little dead body up. I didn't want her cremated. I buried her myself in our backyard by the flowers she had helped me plant a week before. I asked my husband to call there and figure out what the legality was. He ended up paying over $200 for them to kill our puppy. Anestesia costs he was told. I would have made a scene but I was in such shock I couldn't even think. That's why it took me so long to write this review. I do not recommend and warn friends about their practices. Stay away!

And then we met Dr. Tara and we are also happy with her also she always stops to say Hi to Allie when she is there and after a Sinus surgery 2 weeks ago Both Drs have been on ball and treated her. Dr Jan is always caring and supportive with questions and results. Allie is on her way to a great recovery and my Husband and I are more than pleased with not only the Drs. but the staff also. They are always pleasant and informative and i cannot forget Mason and Mable the friendly Cat greeters who are the most sweet Kitties ever! The Steves and Allie and Beau both say thank you!

People are nice but I was going through a hard time with my cat who was very sick for about a year. I Never once got a call from anyone asking how she was doing and when I called to make my appointment crying to have her put down I didn't get much sympathy. I called that morning because she had died and cancelled my appointment and never got a call from anyone. The vet I'm at now calls me frequently asking how my kitties are. One has bad allergies and on a lot of meds so its a lot more comforting getting a call from the vet herself. Very disappointed by Apple Valley for their lack of compassion.

Apple Valley Vet is just about as good as it can get - friendly staff, fair rates, and a convenient location.The most important thing (and the reason why I won't take my pet anywhere else), is that the docs at Apple Valley really take the time to help you understand exactly what they're doing and why. They don't make any moves without your "go ahead" and they understand that - as corny as it is - they are handling your baby when you take your pet there.I just took my cat there for a dental appointment - something that has affected him very negatively in the past - and I couldn't be happier. They gave me the option of having a test panel done prior to the procedure and promised to go as light as they could on the anesthesia (while still keeping the kitty comfortable) since there had been some complications before. They definitely took the time to listen to my concerns and worked with me so I felt confident in going forward. Also, they got my cat in the very next day for an appointment - you can't beat that!I really feel that your pet will be in good hands if you take him or her to Apple Valley!

A wonderful place to bring your family. The staff at Apple Valley have made us feel so comforted with the care our pets receive. When we come is for our rutine check ups and visits there is a warm welcoming from familiar faces. We see Dr. Jain for every visit per our request. Dr. Jain does an amazing job with the overall care he provides. I have four dogs each with very different needs and personalities and the staff is able to work with us in providing care. I recommend all pet lovers give Apple Valley Veterinary clinic a visit you will not be disappointed.

Apple Valley Vet is a great and highly professional vet in Appleton. Since taking my pets there in 2007, I haven't gone to any other vet since. Generally speaking, it's difficult to get same-day appointments unless it is an emergency, but I was always able to get an appointment with 2 or 3 days.Dr. Jain is an awesome vet, who is very knowledgable and friendly. Like all vets, Apple Valley vets are not cheap, but they seem to be right in the average when it comes to billings. Since bringing our pets there, we've never had problems with any of the staff, and they are very proactive with preventative measures, and send postcards (occasionally calling) to remind you of upcoming visits and procedures. I completely trust my pets to the staff of Apple Valley Vet.

My visit with them was one of the worst days of my life. I had been going to them for a year and a half for my dogs itching problem. I took her the other day to see why she was still itchy while taking meds costing 60 dollars a month. The vet told me it would cost 500 for my visit that day for thyroid check and skin scraping. I told them I could not pay that, they offered me a credit card option. I know we are stretched too thin now and started to cry. I decided to surrender her to the humane society if they would have their vet find out why she was still itching, I didn't want to lose her but I had to do something to help her. They gave me back my dog from the hiden back room and I waited for the bill at the counter, hysterical by now because I'm a terrible fur mom. I told her to Bill me and ran to my van as the counter person told me it would cost 84 dollars. We were already out the door, and as I got to my van the vet was running toward me. I pushed 80 dollars at him and got in my van. I cried all the way home. I talked to my old boss who told me to call a vet in neenah. I called them and they told me if I came in and got all the things that was offered it would cost 150..not 500. Zeva has an apt there next week. Even her pills are half their price. I paid 80 dollars to this vet and got nothing except they told me that I needed to pay another 500 for them to help her. Do not go there. My mistake is that I should have called for pricing first. The vet said that a visit with your animal if it's healthy is 20 dollars less then if it's sick..what? Again..go to the vet in Neenah..these people are heartless and expensive!!! They have 5 vet office people, maybe paying all of them is why there is such a price problem. They never told me why the visit was 84 dollars. They don't care to tell me and I don't care to ever go back. I can't afford them

They took care of my cat when she needed to be spayed. Rory is afraid of the Vet and can get rather aggressive, however they rolled with the punches and handled her better than I had seen at my previous vet office. I picked her up the following day and they informed me very well of how she did over night and what I should expect in the next few days. I had a lot anxiety getting her fixed. I was fully comfortable leaving her there with them. One of the best experiences I've had!

I've moved a few times, and have brought my Pug (Wonton) to three other Vet clinics in the areas we were living. At two of those clinics, Wonton would leave stressed, and in one instance gasping after a nail trim. Animals have a keen sense of we "humans", and show there comfort level by their actions. At Apple Valley, she leaves with her tail wagging, & stress free. We are glad to be back in the area, and able to return to the living care, and great staff.

The entire staff is very friendly, and treated my dog with such kindness (despite my little diva-dog's stranger-danger growls and attitude). I love that instead of just prescribing expensive allergy meds to cover up symptoms, their first approach was to narrow down the source of the allergy. We brought our (almost) 16 year old dog in last month with rashes (allergy/infection) and a terrifying rear-leg paralysis, and with Dr. Carla's help our little lassie is now up and walking, and healing up! She took the time to talk extensively with us when we had questions, and never shamed me for wanting to stick to a budget--in fact, she helped us understand the pro's and con's of each suggested treatment, and what to expect going forward. Our dog is happy and well, and I feel we spent each penny wisely! I am grateful! I love that they write the names of the dog's coming in on their welcome board--my kids liked seeing our dog's name up there... it's the personal touch that makes this place special!

The staff is very friendly and informed and were very good at answering all of my questions. However, I received an email that my cat needed a booster as a follow up to his neuter. Upon arriving at the appointment, they had no records of his neuter- apparently the files hadn't been updated. Turns out he also received the vaccine in question at his procedure appointment. I was then advised to give him an additional vaccine. I had adopted my pet, and was advised that the previous agency would be covering his medical expenses. However, upon exit, was informed that since it was an elective vaccine, it would be my responsibility. The lack of record keeping is alarming, and as a pet owner, I feel a bit manipulated. I asked for a copy of his records and won't be returning.

Will not be returning to this place. First appointment there was a nice experience, however, second appointment was upsetting. Went in second time for a boost shot for my kitten. They gave my kitten a "calming shot" which was NOT consented by me. The vet didn't explain what it was until she was already sticking the needle in. I didn't question her because I thought it was the booster shot that was planned.
Then, they had me set up another appointment for a shot that my kitten was already given during the first appointment. I went home and thought about it some more. It confused me so I emailed them asking for a history of my kitten's shots but they only sent me a list of future shots needed. I cancelled that appointment and will be looking for a new vet.
I cannot trust them.

Tried to charge me that to clip nails and clean ears which according to paper work I had was included! One lady came out, assuming the manager and she proceeded to inform me not everything is complimentary, we need to eat and make our house payments or rent! Really? Then they started whispering like we weren't even there! The doctor very nice but the hidden so called extra fees and front staff need work! And just curious why they had to take my cat to different room to trim nails. Heard cat screaming, hopefully didn't take anything out on her. She's such a gentle girl. Will never go back and will spread the word. The manager treated us like 2nd class citizens! My opinion? Stay in your office until you can work on your people skills!

This is a great vet clinic. We went there once, after a bad experience with our usual clinic, and we were so impressed with Apple Valley.They are in Appleton and we are in Oshkosh, so we ended up going to a local vet due to distance, but Apple Valley is definitely a top choice for us.They have our cat's prescription food, which I couldn't find at any other vets office, and all I had to do was call and have them hold a bag for me.I cannot remember the vet we saw, but she was amazing. She was knowledgable, personable, and really kind. Their staff takes the time to answer all concerns and questions and they are all so friendly. They have clinic cats that are so loving and sweet.They tended to be a tad more affordable than our usual vet as well.We would go back for sure.

This was my first visit to a vet and I was nervous but my cat Bubba was ill so it was necessary. All the staff members that I encountered were amazing. The receptionists are helpful and courteous. The nurse was awesome with Bubba! She tried to make him more comfortable as he was very scared. Dr Jain was the best! Everything was clearly explained to me (prognosis and treatment options) and I felt comfortable leaving my beloved animal in their care. The cost was fair and affordable. My cat is now on the path to better health.

June 2016 Update: I am still highly recommending Apple Valley for all your pets care. One of our cats needs thyroid meds and both of them routinely have minor issues and ALL their needs are met with concern and a thorough exam. They have a great system that contacts you with reminders of necessary shots, etc and a follow up text or email to assure you will have your pets ready. This is the best place to take your pets!!!

Well, this review should have been written a few months ago, when my puppy died there after her spay. I dropped my absolutely healthy puppy off in the morning along with the paperwork needed for her to get spayed. There was a question in the forms that I had not understood. I put a huge question mark next to it and addressed it with the receptionist when I got there. It had to do with testing her for allergies to medication. The receptionist shrugged her shoulders and informed me I shouldn't worry about it, that that testing "was more for older dogs". Ok, I didn't know the answer so I followed her advice. I don't care how much that testing would have cost me, I would have gladly paid had the receptionist given me the correct advice. A few hours later I get a phone call saying they had "lost" her. Why? How? I asked... Did not get a satisfying answer. It could have been that she was allergic to some of the medication, says the vet. I flipped. I could have burned that place down. I inquired about the allergy testing as I dropped my puppy off to be slaughtered. My husband was out of town so I drove there to pick her little dead body up. I didn't want her cremated. I buried her myself in our backyard by the flowers she had helped me plant a week before. I asked my husband to call there and figure out what the legality was. He ended up paying over $200 for them to kill our puppy. Anestesia costs he was told. I would have made a scene but I was in such shock I couldn't even think. That's why it took me so long to write this review. I do not recommend and warn friends about their practices. Stay away!

People are nice but I was going through a hard time with my cat who was very sick for about a year. I Never once got a call from anyone asking how she was doing and when I called to make my appointment crying to have her put down I didn't get much sympathy. I called that morning because she had died and cancelled my appointment and never got a call from anyone. The vet I'm at now calls me frequently asking how my kitties are. One has bad allergies and on a lot of meds so its a lot more comforting getting a call from the vet herself. Very disappointed by Apple Valley for their lack of compassion.

Apple Valley Vet is just about as good as it can get - friendly staff, fair rates, and a convenient location.The most important thing (and the reason why I won't take my pet anywhere else), is that the docs at Apple Valley really take the time to help you understand exactly what they're doing and why. They don't make any moves without your "go ahead" and they understand that - as corny as it is - they are handling your baby when you take your pet there.I just took my cat there for a dental appointment - something that has affected him very negatively in the past - and I couldn't be happier. They gave me the option of having a test panel done prior to the procedure and promised to go as light as they could on the anesthesia (while still keeping the kitty comfortable) since there had been some complications before. They definitely took the time to listen to my concerns and worked with me so I felt confident in going forward. Also, they got my cat in the very next day for an appointment - you can't beat that!I really feel that your pet will be in good hands if you take him or her to Apple Valley!

A wonderful place to bring your family. The staff at Apple Valley have made us feel so comforted with the care our pets receive. When we come is for our rutine check ups and visits there is a warm welcoming from familiar faces. We see Dr. Jain for every visit per our request. Dr. Jain does an amazing job with the overall care he provides. I have four dogs each with very different needs and personalities and the staff is able to work with us in providing care. I recommend all pet lovers give Apple Valley Veterinary clinic a visit you will not be disappointed.

Generally speaking, it's difficult to get same-day appointments unless it is an emergency, but I was always able to get an appointment with 2 or 3 days.Dr. Jain is an awesome vet, who is very knowledgable and friendly. Like all vets, Apple Valley vets are not cheap, but they seem to be right in the average when it comes to billings.
