I can’t say enough about the wonderful care my pet (cat), Midnight, received over the years at Fox River Animal Hospital and with Dr. Shepherd and his staff. We had taken Midnight to FRAH since we got her at 8 weeks old, 22 years ago. Although Midnight was never happy to see them--really anyone who messed with her, except for me :)--Dr. Shepherd and all of his staff always treated her with great care and respect, and she got excellent medical care. I always felt comfortable with the thoroughness of the diagnoses, Dr. Shepherd’s and his staff’s knowledge, and their compassionate care. In the past three weeks, as Midnight was going through kidney failure, they saw her as many times as I needed to bring her in, making appointments available for me whenever I needed them; and staff members and Dr. Shepherd himself called me every couple of days to find out how Midnight was doing. They provided her with meds and other care to make her as comfortable as possible; and when it was time to help her for the final time, even though it was Saturday morning and Dr. Shepherd did not have office hours, he came in, met the whole family at the clinic, and helped to end her suffering. Although last Saturday was very traumatic, losing our dear little friend after so many years, Dr. Shepherd and Christie were so wonderful and caring to both Midnight and me, and Midnight left us very peacefully. Thank you, Dr. Shepherd and your entire staff for your care and compassion.

I have been taking my pets here for almost 10 years and I'm always impressed at the quality of care they provide. I took in a cat I adopted that had been abused and was shaking out of fear at the beginning of the appointment and by the end she was calm. I definitely recommend them.

I can't say enough about this place! We started taking our cat, Buddy, there about 6 months ago. He was having allergy problems & they called us every day for at least a week. Buddy started not feeling well so I took him last week. The office staff is amazing! The vet is so kind, gentle with our cat. We found out he had cancer & our world turned upside down. They did as much as they could & gave us medicine to make him more comfortable. They also left the room a while so I could cry for a little by myself. A few days later the vet called me & answered all my questions & gave me great advice on how to handle the last few days with our boy. I just love them & we'll definitely go back when we're ready for another pet.....

Went to Fox River Animal Hospital (Dr. Shepherd) maybe 7 years ago. He was ok and prices were reasonable...as long as neither of my dogs or cat was ill. When a problem surfaced in one of my dogs that required more attention, Dr. Shepherd stopped returning my calls. Very odd behavior. So, I opted to look for another vet who didn't mind dealing with actual medical issues as opposed to only doing routine well pet yearly exams. Don't know what his problem was and wasn't going to beg him to see my sick dog if he didn't want to :-(

We've been using FRAH since we moved to Appleton over 4 years ago. We love them all!! Dr. Shepard is so amazing with our dog Annie; he takes his time to connect with her and he is 5 star competen...
We've been using FRAH since we moved to Appleton over 4 years ago. We love them all!! Dr. Shepard is so amazing with our dog Annie; he takes his time to connect with her and he is 5 star competent as a vet. As long as we have pets, we will continue to make this clinic ours!!!

Tonight our poor Billy got ran over by a car. We took him here because it was the closest place. We get there...the vet looked him over and said we had to take him to the animal hospital near the mall...
Tonight our poor Billy got ran over by a car. We took him here because it was the closest place. We get there...the vet looked him over and said we had to take him to the animal hospital near the mall. 20 minutes away...during rush hour...with construction. Our dog did not make the drive. I am so very disappointed that they were unable to help our dog whatsoever and to send us to another facility. We brought a dog to your facility needing care and got turned away causing him to DIE in my husbands arms on the way to the other hospital you sent us to. My whole family will remember this and I will make sure that I let others know of this.

I absolutely LOVE FRAH!!! I brought my puppy to them after having a horrible experience at a different office and we were welcomed with open arms. They treat my puppy like their own. She was recently spayed and the compassion and care was incredible. They sent me info before surgery, called as soon as she was out of surgery to give an update and thoroughly explained everything we needed to do to care for her after surgery. They even called me the day after surgery to check up on her to see how she was doing. FRAH gives exceptional care for their pet patients!! I would recommend them to anyone and will always continue to take my pets there!!!

I moved here from Chicago so when you walk in and they remember your dog and have no idea who you are, that's the vet you need to have. When I first went there I was met outside and helped in, I'm disabled so that ment a lot. When Dr. Shepherd first met Rocco he sat on the ground with him. Then the entire staff sent a hello and welcome to Fox River animal hospital. That's is what means and makes the decision to continue coming back.

First visit at Fox River Animal Hospital went really well for the new puppy. The staff was delighted to see him and took very good care of him during the exam. It was tough choosing the "right" vet but I'm very happy with my decision to choose Fox River Animal Hospital.

I love this vet office! Always prompt and friendly, and they treat my cats like family. Recently, they saved my cat's life! I took her in for a scratch on her face, and the doctor did a full exam. ...
I love this vet office! Always prompt and friendly, and they treat my cats like family. Recently, they saved my cat's life! I took her in for a scratch on her face, and the doctor did a full exam. He found a mass in her abdomen and referred her for more tests. She had a plum size mass taken out of her intestine, and is recovering. Thanks to the staff for their amazing care, and would recommend them!

This has to be the biggest scam of a place ever. My cat broke it's leg so we took it in to get a cast put on his leg the prices they charge are almost double what other places do and they also put the...
This has to be the biggest scam of a place ever. My cat broke it's leg so we took it in to get a cast put on his leg the prices they charge are almost double what other places do and they also put the bandage on to tight so I had to take him to a 24hr animal hospital to get it removed and they said he could of lost his whole leg if it had stayed on over night and Fox river animal hospital has done nothing to fix their mistakes. I would defiantly not go here for anything.

Dr. Shepard and the staff are wonderful! I wouldn't dream of taking our fur baby any place else. We even board our dog with them when we go out of town. She loves them, they love her.

Really great care for my cat! They genuinely cared, and were very knowledgable. My kitty had a "cold" and/or allergies and they gave him an antihistamine to help with his symptoms. 3 days later the vet, not the vet tech, the actual vet called to ask how the patient was feeling and to call any time if I had concerns. Would definitely recommend this veterinary clinic!!

I can't say enough about this place! We started taking our cat, Buddy, there about 6 months ago. He was having allergy problems & they called us every day for at least a week. Buddy started not feeling well so I took him last week. The office staff is amazing! The vet is so kind, gentle with our cat. We found out he had cancer & our world turned upside down. They did as much as they could & gave us medicine to make him more comfortable. They also left the room a while so I could cry for a little by myself. Went to Fox River Animal Hospital (Dr. Shepherd) maybe 7 years ago. He was ok and prices were reasonable...as long as neither of my dogs or cat was ill. When a problem surfaced in one of my dogs that required more attention, Dr. Shepherd stopped returning my calls. Very odd behavior. We get there...the vet looked him over and said we had to take him to the animal hospital near the mall. 20 minutes away...during rush hour...with construction. Our dog did not make the drive. I am so very disappointed that they were unable to help our dog whatsoever and to send us to another facility. We brought a dog to your facility needing care and got turned away causing him to DIE in my husbands arms on the way to the other hospital you sent us to. My whole family will remember this and I will make sure that I let others know of this.

I absolutely LOVE FRAH!!! I brought my puppy to them after having a horrible experience at a different office and we were welcomed with open arms. They treat my puppy like their own. She was recently spayed and the compassion and care was incredible. They sent me info before surgery, called as soon as she was out of surgery to give an update and thoroughly explained everything we needed to do to care for her after surgery. My cat broke it's leg so we took it in to get a cast put on his leg the prices they charge are almost double what other places do and they also put the bandage on to tight so I had to take him to a 24hr animal hospital to get it removed and they said he could of lost his whole leg if it had stayed on over night and Fox river animal hospital has done nothing to fix their mistakes. I would defiantly not go here for anything.
