I recently took our 14 year-old yorkipoo to Badger Vet Hospital in Beloit to be groomed. I had put off taking him in to be groomed, because he had a negative experience at an unrelated facility a few months prior. After searching out a new facility and reading many reviews, I decided to give Badger Vet a try. His groomer, Cassie, met with us beforehand, and I was able to explain any special needs he has and why we were a little anxious about the appointment. Cassie was FANTASTIC! She patiently listened and took notes. She didn't rush our dog or me and actually called me halfway through the appointment to give me an update. When I picked him up, he came out of the office looking like he was prancing. He was happy and looked wonderful, and he seemed to know that he looked great. I can't thank Cassie enough for her patient and gentle manner.

I've been going to Badger Veterinary since they took over from Dr. O'Tool. Yes, I do miss him, he was not just my pet's doctor but a friend as well. Miss Rita very much too.
I do find Badger more expensive but I love all three of the doctor's I've dealt with in Beloit. Dr. Hipwood, Dr. Sweets and Dr. Rothstein are all just super. The tech's I've dealt with are also great along with the front desk staff. Michelle is a dear to deal with.
I lost my beloved fur kid Riley last Sept. and took him there for his last trip. They were kind, caring, compassionate and eased his passage.
I am now a mom of a rescue kid and she too goes to Badger. She gets great care and I've always been able to get her in on a timely basis.
I just wish there was a doctor on call for emergencies instead of having to drive to Janesville.
I wasn't sure how I would like dealing with a "group" clinic but so far I am very happy and sure hope they don't move the doctor's around.
Thanks Badger for the good service and care of my pet.

I needed to get my 9 year old Irish Setter in after a Friday of severe limping and waiting it out a night. They were the 5th place I tried to get her in last minute on a Saturday morning. They were accommodating enough to fit her in, which is much appreciated. Our dog, in pain, wagged at the vet as she approached (good vibes, knew she would help?). Anyway, yes $400 later with x-rays, meds... but today, one day later, she was SOOO much better!

I have been a customer of this place since 1980 with my first dog BUffy -so its disheartening the excessive rise in prices. I do luv the staff all the girls and techs are super super nice and Dr Hamilton he is great with Winter they all have taken great care of my 3 animals-however am told he is leaving so thats kind of sad

I brought my cat in due to him being in pain, without setting my cat, the vet walked in telling me he needed surgery and that I'd have to leave. Less than 10 minutes after I left, the doctor called me to tell me that my cat was dead and that he was going to cut off my cats head and send it to Madison for testing. Because the nurse got scratched when handling my cat, the doctor felt the need to kill my cat so he could test him for rabies. My cat, that's never left the house, didn't deserve to be killed because of a scratch. Cats scratch, as a vet, I can't imagine he kills all the cats that visit him if someone gets scratched. He then asked me to come in and pay him. Three months later, they caked me at work to tell me he was ready to be picked up. They kept his headless body in their freezer for three months and it took them that long to give me the option to pick him up and finally get the option to bury him. I'm horrified by my experience and think this vet should be in prison.

I do not recommend this animal hospital to anyone. They push the expensive, high end products even when you have said what it is exactly that you need to purchase. It was always about the money and now that they've been bought out by another animal hospital, it's even worse. The staff is rude, impatient, and horrible to deal with. They don't accept Care Credit when so many other animal clinics do. The horrible experience that I went through with this place was when I took my kitten in to be spayed. The day that I picked her up, she was panting heavily, and open mouth breathing, which is a sign of respiratory distress in a cat. When I asked the so-called technician why she was doing that, she said that she was fine, that she was just nervous. I of course found this out the hard way. I had to take to her the ER! Then her eight inch incision became severely infected the day after surgery. The ends of the incision were not even sutured or aligned properly. It looked like a hack job! None of the staff there are certified even though they call themselves technicians. In the state of Wisconsin, you need to be certified and licensed to be called a technician. The only good thing about this place was Dr. Hamilton. It was only because of him that I kept coming back. I'm sorry it's not enough to keep coming here and risking the health and lives of my pets.

I recently adopted a puppy from the Humane Society. She was 8 weeks old at the time of adoption and after a couple weeks began vomiting. At the time of the call she had been vomiting for about 24 hours and was refusing food and water. I called Badger (approximately 10:00 am) and was told they couldn't fit her in that day or the next and it would be 3 days before they could see her. I called a different vet in town and was able to bring her in that day. Sadly, he transaction over the phone seemed more motivated by profit than compassion. I hate say that I'll be moving on after all the years of patronizing Country View but it certainly doesn't seem the new Badger ownership has the same concern for my pets as the old Country View staff previously did.

I have been taking my pets to Country View for well over a decade. Last night I took Piper in to be euthanized. She had cancer and was starting to exhibit increased pain, which I wanted to avoid. She was not euthanized she was tortured to death. She was stuck well over 6 times, given half the dose left to suffer as they tried to "find a vein". Let me make it clear that she was NOT dehydrated, she had good turgor and had been eating less but drinking normally. I have had worse off cats who were severely dehydrated stuck the first time. This was Not a case of "fragile veins" this was a complete lack of skill. Since Dr. Smith(who I love and trust) retired there has been a revolving door of terrible inexperienced veterinarians. I cannot believe I actually paid for this and I can't believe they took my money after this experience. I was in shock and want her cremated remains returned to me. They are "under new management ", I'd say that is deathly obvious. Please don't let this happen to your beloved animals, go somewhere else. I am looking for recommendations for vets with skill AND compassion.

I had my first puppy for 9 days. He became very ill. Dr. Smith and the girls at the hospital were very helpful and compassionate. They got us in right away. Unfortunately he had a rare disorder and died, but through it, they were supportive and they even sent me a sympathy card in the mail. I just bought a new puppy and Dr. O'Toole has been very kind, gentle and informative about the care of my new dog. They are a wonderful group and I would recommend them to everyone.

I recently took our 14 year-old yorkipoo to Badger Vet Hospital in Beloit to be groomed. I had put off taking him in to be groomed, because he had a negative experience at an unrelated facility a few months prior. After searching out a new facility and reading many reviews, I decided to give Badger Vet a try. His groomer, Cassie, met with us beforehand, and I was able to explain any special needs he has and why we were a little anxious about the appointment. Cassie was FANTASTIC! She patiently listened and took notes. She didn't rush our dog or me and actually called me halfway through the appointment to give me an update. When I picked him up, he came out of the office looking like he was prancing. He was happy and looked wonderful, and he seemed to know that he looked great. I can't thank Cassie enough for her patient and gentle manner.

I've been going to Badger Veterinary since they took over from Dr. O'Tool. Yes, I do miss him, he was not just my pet's doctor but a friend as well. Miss Rita very much too.
I do find Badger more expensive but I love all three of the doctor's I've dealt with in Beloit. Dr. Hipwood, Dr. Sweets and Dr. Rothstein are all just super. The tech's I've dealt with are also great along with the front desk staff. Michelle is a dear to deal with.
I lost my beloved fur kid Riley last Sept. and took him there for his last trip. They were kind, caring, compassionate and eased his passage.
I am now a mom of a rescue kid and she too goes to Badger. She gets great care and I've always been able to get her in on a timely basis.
I just wish there was a doctor on call for emergencies instead of having to drive to Janesville.
I wasn't sure how I would like dealing with a "group" clinic but so far I am very happy and sure hope they don't move the doctor's around.
Thanks Badger for the good service and care of my pet.

I needed to get my 9 year old Irish Setter in after a Friday of severe limping and waiting it out a night. They were the 5th place I tried to get her in last minute on a Saturday morning. They were accommodating enough to fit her in, which is much appreciated. Our dog, in pain, wagged at the vet as she approached (good vibes, knew she would help?). Anyway, yes $400 later with x-rays, meds... but today, one day later, she was SOOO much better!

I have been a customer of this place since 1980 with my first dog BUffy -so its disheartening the excessive rise in prices. I brought my cat in due to him being in pain, without setting my cat, the vet walked in telling me he needed surgery and that I'd have to leave. Less than 10 minutes after I left, the doctor called me to tell me that my cat was dead and that he was going to cut off my cats head and send it to Madison for testing. Because the nurse got scratched when handling my cat, the doctor felt the need to kill my cat so he could test him for rabies. My cat, that's never left the house, didn't deserve to be killed because of a scratch. Cats scratch, as a vet, I can't imagine he kills all the cats that visit him if someone gets scratched. He then asked me to come in and pay him. Three months later, they caked me at work to tell me he was ready to be picked up. They kept his headless body in their freezer for three months and it took them that long to give me the option to pick him up and finally get the option to bury him. I'm horrified by my experience and think this vet should be in prison.

I do not recommend this animal hospital to anyone. They push the expensive, high end products even when you have said what it is exactly that you need to purchase. It was always about the money and now that they've been bought out by another animal hospital, it's even worse. The staff is rude, impatient, and horrible to deal with. They don't accept Care Credit when so many other animal clinics do. The horrible experience that I went through with this place was when I took my kitten in to be spayed. The day that I picked her up, she was panting heavily, and open mouth breathing, which is a sign of respiratory distress in a cat. When I asked the so-called technician why she was doing that, she said that she was fine, that she was just nervous. I of course found this out the hard way. I had to take to her the ER! Then her eight inch incision became severely infected the day after surgery. The ends of the incision were not even sutured or aligned properly. It looked like a hack job! None of the staff there are certified even though they call themselves technicians. In the state of Wisconsin, you need to be certified and licensed to be called a technician. The only good thing about this place was Dr. Hamilton. It was only because of him that I kept coming back. I'm sorry it's not enough to keep coming here and risking the health and lives of my pets.

I recently adopted a puppy from the Humane Society. She was 8 weeks old at the time of adoption and after a couple weeks began vomiting. At the time of the call she had been vomiting for about 24 hours and was refusing food and water. I called Badger (approximately 10:00 am) and was told they couldn't fit her in that day or the next and it would be 3 days before they could see her. I called a different vet in town and was able to bring her in that day. Sadly, he transaction over the phone seemed more motivated by profit than compassion. I hate say that I'll be moving on after all the years of patronizing Country View but it certainly doesn't seem the new Badger ownership has the same concern for my pets as the old Country View staff previously did.

I have been taking my pets to Country View for well over a decade. Last night I took Piper in to be euthanized. She had cancer and was starting to exhibit increased pain, which I wanted to avoid. She was not euthanized she was tortured to death. She was stuck well over 6 times, given half the dose left to suffer as they tried to "find a vein". Let me make it clear that she was NOT dehydrated, she had good turgor and had been eating less but drinking normally. I have had worse off cats who were severely dehydrated stuck the first time. This was Not a case of "fragile veins" this was a complete lack of skill. Since Dr. Smith(who I love and trust) retired there has been a revolving door of terrible inexperienced veterinarians. I cannot believe I actually paid for this and I can't believe they took my money after this experience. I was in shock and want her cremated remains returned to me. They are "under new management ", I'd say that is deathly obvious. Please don't let this happen to your beloved animals, go somewhere else. I am looking for recommendations for vets with skill AND compassion.

I would never go anywhere else for veterinary medicine, unless they referred us elsewhere. And they have. They never hesitate to get all the answers for you. I love them so much, as did Buckwheat, Rocky, and now Goliath.

I had my first puppy for 9 days. He became very ill. Dr. Smith and the girls at the hospital were very helpful and compassionate. They got us in right away. Unfortunately he had a rare disorder and died, but through it, they were supportive and they even sent me a sympathy card in the mail. I just bought a new puppy and Dr. O'Toole has been very kind, gentle and informative about the care of my new dog. They are a wonderful group and I would recommend them to everyone.
