I have been bringing my Shetland Sheepdog to Bluemound Animal Hospital for 11 years. Dr. Weaver is friendly and kind to everyone. You can tell that he loves his job. All of the vet techs are caring and compassionate. They help calm my sheltie when he feels nervous. The prices are fair as well. I recommend Bluemound Animal Hospital to anyone!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. They were very kind on our first visit and even performed surgery on our dog's paw ($2000+ in vet bills), but a certain gentleman at the front desk ruined any chance we had at returning or referring our friends to them at our recent appointment. My dog was to be seen on September 29th for vaccines. I called on 9/27 and 9/28 to verify that they took Care Credit (a pet CC that we had and used for our dogs care). I understand it was poor planning on my part to not have a second form of payment with me, but that's why I verified they took the CC. I had left my purse at work and would not be getting it until the following Monday. When I called on 9/27 and 9/28 I had offered to cancel the appointment if they didn't take that specific CC but was reassured both times that they did accept the card and I would have no issues. After my dogs vaccines on 9/29, I handed them my Care Credit and a kind lady informed they've apparently "never accepted that form of payment" but that she would go talk to someone and see what they could do since I was told otherwise over the phone. A gentleman who works at the front desk came into the room extremely hostile and rude accusing me of calling the wrong clinic and lying to them. I showed him the 2 five minute calls from the day leading up the appointment in my call log on my cell phone and he told me he didn't believe me. Phone logs don't lie. The lady checking me out originally apologized several times for his behavior and said it was unacceptable. I promised to run home and drop off a check the same day, but they told me it wouldn't be necessary and that I could just mail the check. I mailed it 10/3 and called on 10/6 to verify that it had been received. I was told my account was current so they must have gotten the check. They called me on 10/22 to tell me they had not received payment. I spoke with a receptionist and she told me she would check into it and call me back. They called and emailed me 10/29 asking for payment. I explained that I already spoke with someone and they apparently had no record of our conversation. I don't understand how a clinic who has been in practice for YEARS could drop the ball on their training, communication and customer service this many times with one client. I will not trust my dog to their care again and highly recommend you check into our clinic's in the area before choosing Bluemound Animal Hospital.

I am new to the area. Bluemound Animal Hospital was recommended to me by a relative. The staff was personable and professional. The young man at the front desk retrieved our records from the previous vet for us (something I forgot to do) and without hesitation. The staff and actual Vet went out of their way to provide prices, AND price options; explanations regarding medicine and they took time to loved up on my dogs. My visit to BAH made me feel comfortable that I was getting the best care possible for my best friends.

My family has been going here with our family pets for as long as I can remember. For the last 11 years I went here with my Golden Retriever. From puppy to the day that he passed, the staff here has been nothing but helpful. They all show true compassion when it comes to dealing with your animal.. When It came time to put my dog down they took the time to walk me through the steps and let me know my options for memorializing him.
I have anything from a check up, to surgery performed on my dog here and I was shocked at how reasonable the price was. Lower than many other places I have seen. Whenever I wanted an appointment they have been able to get me in. Every doctor is great as well as the techs. I am picking up a new puppy soon and he will for sure get all of his care here.
Trust me that If you go here you will not be disappointed one bit in any of the care that you receive.

I've used this vet since i was 4 and my grandma used to take our dog here. They are by far the most reasonably priced in the area, they're very good with my animals, their staff is kind. My gsd doesn't like her nails being trimmed, and has never put up a fuss with the staff here, which is a big deal for me, as it shows her trust. Almost 30 years of taking all my pets here, and many more to come!

I was in town for the holidays and needed to get one of my dogs in for a cough that he had. I found Bluemound Animal Hospital online and saw that they had great ratings so I decided to take my sweet boy there. They were able to get me in for an appointment right away and did a fantastic job. They were very courtesy and friendly. They explained what was going on with my boy and what the best course of treatment would be. Their prices were affordable. If I am ever back in town with my dogs again, I would certainly take them to Bluemound Animal Hospital again.

whether you graduate #1 from the best veterinary school in the nation or graduate last from the worst school, they are all called Doctor and innocent patients are left to suffer. After having my golden retriever for 21 hours because he wasn't eating (a clear sign of a problem in this breed) and still having no diagnosis because they did nothing more than an x ray - we picked him up and took him to lake geneva animal hospital. within 20 minutes we had an ultrasound and a blood test showing his liver was failing because he had Lepto. Do not entrust your loved one with these jokers. they failed to do basic baseline tests and to call them incompetent doesn't begin to tell the story. We lost a precious 24 hours where he could have and should have been on an IV of antibiotics to treat the Lepto - which can be fatal and time is of the essence. Dr. Meghan Glazer and Dr. Karch should both lose their licenses. To make matters worse, the clinic director did not return my call to address my demand for a full refund for the money I paid in advance and in good faith in the expectation of competent care. They don't deserve to be paid since they couldn't come up with any diagnosis and didn't run customary tests. Now I have to pay the veterinary office who actually knows what they are doing and I want a full refund from WVRC. They are hiding from taking responsibility and not taking my calls. Unacceptable.

The staff at Bluemound Animal Hospital is so caring. I take both of my dogs there. They are always able to fit us in if we have an issue. Today my dog had a scratched eye. Megan, the tech, was so sweet. She sat on the floor with my dog and calmed her down. The vet was efficient and kind. She explained everything clearly. I will keep going to this great place.

Dr. Eckerle told me she could not understand the reports that I had sent over from my other vet. This was concerning because an extensive work-up was done by them and I needed to review it with her because the problem was still ongoing. She was with me for 5-10 minutes, offered no help other than trying antibiotics again and then when I asked her if there were any areas of concern that she noticed, she said no, turned around, rolled her eyes and walked out. I am still shocked she rolled her eyes. Not a good experience.

I will never go to this vet again. I had brought my diabetic cat here, and they sent me home with VERY VERY little information. I got one small sheet with info on how to give a shot. We did a curve on him and got very good numbers, and the vet pretty much said leave it where it is. He died yesterday and the vet we took him to believes it could be due to a lack of concern by the vet we had used. We went to put him down and we ended up learning 10x more about feline diabetes than the original vet taught us. I believe this vet is part at fault for what happened to my cat. They're also very unwilling to discuss anything regarding payment help. I called there when he was sick to see if they could help somehow (I wasn't getting paid until 2 days after I made the call) and they said no, and the only advice they had was to bring him in. Nothing else. I can't say enough about how poor of a choice they are.

I initially used this Vet clinic when we got our first dog and received a free wellness check-up. It is easy to find and their prices are reasonable, although I don't have much to compare it to. Our dog fell ill with cancer 6-months after we got him and our vet at BAH referred us to the VMTH in Madison because she felt they could give us more complete information. We did and our pooch got into a fully-funded chemo study. Throughout his 10 months of treatment, the VMTH and our vet at Bluemound communicated often. We were able to get any extra medicines we needed for him quickly and easily at BAH rather than having to drive to Madison. When it came time to put our dog down, our vet at BAH was very accommodating and sensitive to our needs and was very good to our boy. So when we adopted a new dog, we immediately took him there. His initial wellness check-up lasted an hour because our vet knew I had concerns regarding avoiding cancer and she took the extra time to calm my fears and give me information on everything from crate training to special diets. I recommend this facility to everyone with a dog. The staff is caring and accommodationg and the prices are fair, even for people like me who are on a very tight budget.

I agree with the last few reviews. This place is great, my family and I have always taken all of our pets to BAH. The staff there is always so nice. Once I got two dogs of my own, I lived on the East Side of Milwaukee and took them to some places in Mequon. Not so friendly service and way over priced! We came back to Bluemound Animal Hospital and are happy we did. The staff and doctors are great, clean facility, they do not over charge or over price their products. It is always easy to get an appointment also which is great, because my schedule is always pretty busy. Great place!

I'm new to Bluemound Road Animal hospital, I transferred there from Burleigh Road (which I would NOT recommend to anyone). I've got 4 dogs and all but one has been seen. My puppy was ill when young and his rare disease was known and understood by the doctor there. I felt confident he got the best treatment I could get him. He's outgrown his illness and is doing well. Throughout the time when he was sick, i could always get in touch and get meds quickly thru the hospital. I've never waited very long and always am made to feel welcome, as is my pet. I love the fact you check out/pay while in the exam room. It makes digging thru your purse no problem while hanging onto a leash or 2. Price wise, which is not a big concern; quality of care is first, they are about the same as others. They don't try to sell uneccessary tests or meds, as I've run across in the past. So, I'd recommend this hospital. They sem to really care about yu and your animal.

I don't agree with ""Unhappy""'s review of the Brookfield Animal Hospital. Comments should not be the basis of judgement for the service one receives for care of pets. I have had a very pleasant level of customer service from BAH, including: - A warm, friendly staff who helped me register and check in promptly. Even in a crowded waiting room, I only waited 20 mins to get seen by a vet. - The ability to schedule appointments, and they do stick to their appointments unlike other vets that may schedule you but you wind up waiting 40 mins in the wait room. - Doctors who are efficient and thorough in their examinations. They asked very good questions relating to my dog, and offered up a lot of advice concerning my breeds. They weren't pushy in terms of services, they only wanted what was required for the pet. - Excellent follow up for marginal cost. One of my dogs had an allergic reaction to his distemper shot. I brought him back immediately and they put me ahead of a few people who had been waiting due to the urgency. They gave me another medicine to mitigate the effects of the distemper at their cost level, versus retail. Oh, and I went to see them shortly after they closed, so I was happy they took me in. If I had one compaint, it would be the size of their waiting room. It is small and there are toys and treats for sale that are far to easy to reach for some curious dogs or small children who are with you in the wait room. I'd expand the waiting room and place temp kennels somewhere to isolate pets. My dog was growled at and scared by a lot of other more aggressive pets in the wait room, which forced me to hold him instead of holding my toddler. Thank you.

Vets have poor ""bedside"" manner. I brought my elderly cat in to be euthanised and was very unhappy with vet's remarks. I transfered the rest of my pets to another animal hospital and vet.

I have been bringing my Shetland Sheepdog to Bluemound Animal Hospital for 11 years. Dr. Weaver is friendly and kind to everyone. You can tell that he loves his job. All of the vet techs are caring and compassionate. They help calm my sheltie when he feels nervous. The prices are fair as well. I recommend Bluemound Animal Hospital to anyone!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. They were very kind on our first visit and even performed surgery on our dog's paw ($2000+ in vet bills), but a certain gentleman at the front desk ruined any chance we had at returning or referring our friends to them at our recent appointment. My dog was to be seen on September 29th for vaccines. I called on 9/27 and 9/28 to verify that they took Care Credit (a pet CC that we had and used for our dogs care). I understand it was poor planning on my part to not have a second form of payment with me, but that's why I verified they took the CC. I had left my purse at work and would not be getting it until the following Monday. When I called on 9/27 and 9/28 I had offered to cancel the appointment if they didn't take that specific CC but was reassured both times that they did accept the card and I would have no issues. After my dogs vaccines on 9/29, I handed them my Care Credit and a kind lady informed they've apparently "never accepted that form of payment" but that she would go talk to someone and see what they could do since I was told otherwise over the phone. A gentleman who works at the front desk came into the room extremely hostile and rude accusing me of calling the wrong clinic and lying to them. I showed him the 2 five minute calls from the day leading up the appointment in my call log on my cell phone and he told me he didn't believe me. Phone logs don't lie. The lady checking me out originally apologized several times for his behavior and said it was unacceptable. I promised to run home and drop off a check the same day, but they told me it wouldn't be necessary and that I could just mail the check. I mailed it 10/3 and called on 10/6 to verify that it had been received. I was told my account was current so they must have gotten the check. They called me on 10/22 to tell me they had not received payment. I spoke with a receptionist and she told me she would check into it and call me back. They called and emailed me 10/29 asking for payment. I explained that I already spoke with someone and they apparently had no record of our conversation. I don't understand how a clinic who has been in practice for YEARS could drop the ball on their training, communication and customer service this many times with one client. I will not trust my dog to their care again and highly recommend you check into our clinic's in the area before choosing Bluemound Animal Hospital.

I am new to the area. Bluemound Animal Hospital was recommended to me by a relative. The staff was personable and professional. The young man at the front desk retrieved our records from the previous vet for us (something I forgot to do) and without hesitation. The staff and actual Vet went out of their way to provide prices, AND price options; explanations regarding medicine and they took time to loved up on my dogs. My visit to BAH made me feel comfortable that I was getting the best care possible for my best friends.

My family has been going here with our family pets for as long as I can remember. For the last 11 years I went here with my Golden Retriever. From puppy to the day that he passed, the staff here has been nothing but helpful. They all show true compassion when it comes to dealing with your animal.. When It came time to put my dog down they took the time to walk me through the steps and let me know my options for memorializing him.
I have anything from a check up, to surgery performed on my dog here and I was shocked at how reasonable the price was. Lower than many other places I have seen. Whenever I wanted an appointment they have been able to get me in. Every doctor is great as well as the techs. I am picking up a new puppy soon and he will for sure get all of his care here.
Trust me that If you go here you will not be disappointed one bit in any of the care that you receive.

I've used this vet since i was 4 and my grandma used to take our dog here. They are by far the most reasonably priced in the area, they're very good with my animals, their staff is kind. My gsd doesn't like her nails being trimmed, and has never put up a fuss with the staff here, which is a big deal for me, as it shows her trust. Almost 30 years of taking all my pets here, and many more to come!

I was in town for the holidays and needed to get one of my dogs in for a cough that he had. I found Bluemound Animal Hospital online and saw that they had great ratings so I decided to take my sweet boy there. They were able to get me in for an appointment right away and did a fantastic job. They were very courtesy and friendly. They explained what was going on with my boy and what the best course of treatment would be. Their prices were affordable. If I am ever back in town with my dogs again, I would certainly take them to Bluemound Animal Hospital again.

After having my golden retriever for 21 hours because he wasn't eating (a clear sign of a problem in this breed) and still having no diagnosis because they did nothing more than an x ray - we picked him up and took him to lake geneva animal hospital. within 20 minutes we had an ultrasound and a blood test showing his liver was failing because he had Lepto. Do not entrust your loved one with these jokers. they failed to do basic baseline tests and to call them incompetent doesn't begin to tell the story. We lost a precious 24 hours where he could have and should have been on an IV of antibiotics to treat the Lepto - which can be fatal and time is of the essence. Dr. Meghan Glazer and Dr. Karch should both lose their licenses. To make matters worse, the clinic director did not return my call to address my demand for a full refund for the money I paid in advance and in good faith in the expectation of competent care. They don't deserve to be paid since they couldn't come up with any diagnosis and didn't run customary tests. Now I have to pay the veterinary office who actually knows what they are doing and I want a full refund from WVRC. They are hiding from taking responsibility and not taking my calls. Unacceptable.

Dr. Eckerle told me she could not understand the reports that I had sent over from my other vet. This was concerning because an extensive work-up was done by them and I needed to review it with her because the problem was still ongoing. She was with me for 5-10 minutes, offered no help other than trying antibiotics again and then when I asked her if there were any areas of concern that she noticed, she said no, turned around, rolled her eyes and walked out. I am still shocked she rolled her eyes. Not a good experience.

I will never go to this vet again. I had brought my diabetic cat here, and they sent me home with VERY VERY little information. I got one small sheet with info on how to give a shot. We did a curve on him and got very good numbers, and the vet pretty much said leave it where it is. He died yesterday and the vet we took him to believes it could be due to a lack of concern by the vet we had used. We went to put him down and we ended up learning 10x more about feline diabetes than the original vet taught us. I believe this vet is part at fault for what happened to my cat. They're also very unwilling to discuss anything regarding payment help. I called there when he was sick to see if they could help somehow (I wasn't getting paid until 2 days after I made the call) and they said no, and the only advice they had was to bring him in. Nothing else. I can't say enough about how poor of a choice they are.

I initially used this Vet clinic when we got our first dog and received a free wellness check-up. It is easy to find and their prices are reasonable, although I don't have much to compare it to. Our dog fell ill with cancer 6-months after we got him and our vet at BAH referred us to the VMTH in Madison because she felt they could give us more complete information. We did and our pooch got into a fully-funded chemo study. Throughout his 10 months of treatment, the VMTH and our vet at Bluemound communicated often. We were able to get any extra medicines we needed for him quickly and easily at BAH rather than having to drive to Madison. When it came time to put our dog down, our vet at BAH was very accommodating and sensitive to our needs and was very good to our boy. So when we adopted a new dog, we immediately took him there. His initial wellness check-up lasted an hour because our vet knew I had concerns regarding avoiding cancer and she took the extra time to calm my fears and give me information on everything from crate training to special diets. I recommend this facility to everyone with a dog. The staff is caring and accommodationg and the prices are fair, even for people like me who are on a very tight budget.

I agree with the last few reviews. This place is great, my family and I have always taken all of our pets to BAH. The staff there is always so nice. Once I got two dogs of my own, I lived on the East Side of Milwaukee and took them to some places in Mequon. Not so friendly service and way over priced! We came back to Bluemound Animal Hospital and are happy we did. The staff and doctors are great, clean facility, they do not over charge or over price their products. It is always easy to get an appointment also which is great, because my schedule is always pretty busy. Great place!

I'm new to Bluemound Road Animal hospital, I transferred there from Burleigh Road (which I would NOT recommend to anyone). I've got 4 dogs and all but one has been seen. My puppy was ill when young and his rare disease was known and understood by the doctor there. I felt confident he got the best treatment I could get him. He's outgrown his illness and is doing well. Throughout the time when he was sick, i could always get in touch and get meds quickly thru the hospital. I've never waited very long and always am made to feel welcome, as is my pet. I love the fact you check out/pay while in the exam room. It makes digging thru your purse no problem while hanging onto a leash or 2. Price wise, which is not a big concern; quality of care is first, they are about the same as others. They don't try to sell uneccessary tests or meds, as I've run across in the past. So, I'd recommend this hospital. They sem to really care about yu and your animal.

I don't agree with ""Unhappy""'s review of the Brookfield Animal Hospital. Comments should not be the basis of judgement for the service one receives for care of pets. I have had a very pleasant level of customer service from BAH, including: - A warm, friendly staff who helped me register and check in promptly. Even in a crowded waiting room, I only waited 20 mins to get seen by a vet. - The ability to schedule appointments, and they do stick to their appointments unlike other vets that may schedule you but you wind up waiting 40 mins in the wait room. - Doctors who are efficient and thorough in their examinations. They asked very good questions relating to my dog, and offered up a lot of advice concerning my breeds. They weren't pushy in terms of services, they only wanted what was required for the pet. - Excellent follow up for marginal cost. One of my dogs had an allergic reaction to his distemper shot. I brought him back immediately and they put me ahead of a few people who had been waiting due to the urgency. They gave me another medicine to mitigate the effects of the distemper at their cost level, versus retail. Oh, and I went to see them shortly after they closed, so I was happy they took me in. If I had one compaint, it would be the size of their waiting room. It is small and there are toys and treats for sale that are far to easy to reach for some curious dogs or small children who are with you in the wait room. I'd expand the waiting room and place temp kennels somewhere to isolate pets. My dog was growled at and scared by a lot of other more aggressive pets in the wait room, which forced me to hold him instead of holding my toddler. Thank you.

Vets have poor ""bedside"" manner. I brought my elderly cat in to be euthanised and was very unhappy with vet's remarks. I transfered the rest of my pets to another animal hospital and vet.
