Fox Valley Veterinary Service

Burlington, Wisconsin
General Info
Fox Valley Veterinary Service is renowned in the local pet community for its compassionate and thorough approach to animal care. Fox Valley Veterinary Service aims to establish trust between animal patients and their Wisconsin owners through its provision of care, a partnership that it values very highly. Before allowing a human to “examine” them, cats usually need some indirect eye contact. The progression may need to be slowed down for the dogs between training steps, and they may need to be permitted to investigate the tools by sniffing them. The clinic's behavior-adjusted and species-specific technique considers emotional responses, limits overstimulation, and respects tolerance levels. Owners are treated as full partners without conditions. Veterinarians use the data from pet behaviors at home like “what she did after the storm or how she sleeps on a new texture” as medical information. Fox Valley Veterinary Service offers support in the areas of preventive planning, diagnostics, internal medicine, nutrition advisory and dietary changes, dental health, and senior multi-species pet wellness. The timing of each procedure is synchronized with the animal’s ability to remain calm and present. Certain pets undergo diagnostics over a series of visits while desensitization programs are implemented to reduce anxiety. Special techniques are applied to exotic pets in order to prevent stress-related health problems. After the consults, families are given tips on understanding pain expression and overstimulation cues (sound/activity), as well as returning to normal interaction behavior (Target, 2023). Each treatment plan has its flow and rhythm through which the practitioner determines the moments to pause, engage in reflection, and review the progress. In addition to pets and families in Burlington, Fox Valley Veterinary Service offers veterinary care to several adjacent Wisconsin regions. Each patient is respected for the distinct ways their stress shows itself, the physical language they employ, and the level of timing required for optimal results, termed an emotional compass. The clinic provides various services like Prescription Medications, Dental Radiographs, Laser Therapy, Ophthalmology, and Diagnostics. These services aid pets in every phase of their lives, from routine health maintenance to intricate medical care. Pet owners value the team’s expertise and the way they communicate with compassion. They also appreciate how the clinic explains medical decisions clearly and supportively. And when your pet’s health needs urgent attention, we always try to solve the case. The goal of our hospital is to establish long-term relationships with senior pets owners through consistent and high-quality services. The clinic also ensures that the pet owners are well aware of the preventive measures they need to take. Fox Valley Veterinary Service’s community participation creates a stronger foundation for responsible pet ownership. Clients, new and old alike, often compliment the seamless approach of a practice that is constantly evolving with the times.

Best place in the area. Very clean. Modern. Professional staff. After a botched surgery killed our beloved Border Collie at Country Veterinary Service in Browns Lake I immediately sought out other places for my husky and this place is perfect. Had a problem once with one "nurse" who got really irritated at how excited my dog gets to be there but she is no longer there. Most the staff has been there as long as I've been going and Melissa I believe is her name is awesome. They always follow up the following day even with regular check ups. Recommended 100%. Read Less

My husband and I have been going to Fox Valley Veterinarian office in Waterford since we got our first puppy in 2015. We always had a great experience and felt our animals were taken care of well until recently when our 1 year old puppy died from a complication from surgery. Here are some of the specific details: Drax had surgery for a bowel obstruction related to a squeaker being ingested. The next morning , I woke up and he ate without problems and was more alert with a good start to recovery. Later that day, he became lethargic and was not eating or drinking. I called the on call doctor who immediately who told me to go to the ER. I proceeded to the ER where they identified some fluid in his belly but said that could be normal. The next day, I once again called concerned that he still wasn't eating. I requested a visit and the vet did a thorough examination deeming he was ok. The next day , I came in for a scheduled visit to remove the pain patch. He continued to display signs of lethargy; however, I was told that the vet would not be seeing him unless I really felt it was necessary. No vitals were taken at this visit. I trusted that the professionals at the office. They had assured us that everything was €as expected€. . The day he died I called earlier as still not eating, making this the 5th day post-op day. I was then told to force feed him which was counterintuitive to me. I called a second time, noting that his belly was distended, causing significant concern. A few hours later he had a seizure and died. We tried to do CPR to revive him as we drove to the nearest vet hospital. They attempted to revive him with no success. When explaining the above events to other vets, they had stated they would have sent him to the ER on the day he died. After this incident we sat down with the office, and the manager stated they will be making changes to improve on communication. We asked for some reimbursement for the surgery given we had nothing to show for it and felt they were responsible. At this time she blamed us for declining labs which were not recommended to begin with as they suggested it almost as an afterthought . We do believe he would be alive if it wasn€t for their poor care including inaccurate information and poor communication with expected outcomes after surgery. Read Less
