Back to basics is made up of a family of Specialist that care deeply about each and every animal that comes through their doors. They take the time to explain problems and procedures needed to resolve your pets problem. They want our pets to live long healthy lives. They have saved the lives of two of our pets when another Vet’s recommendation was to put the animal down. I would give them an A++++ and would never take a pet anywhere else.

I adopted my Mack and Bandit from a shelter in west Texas in 2003 and they are now approaching 17-years-old. I've taken them to veterinary clinics in Dalhart Texas, Amarillo Texas, Lubbock Texas, Lincoln Nebraska, Saskatchewan Canada, Boise Idaho, Madison WI, DeForest WI, Token Creek WI, and Cottage Grove WI, and I'm probably forgetting a few others.
Back 2 Basics is handsdown the best clinic I've ever taken them to. Their vets stay current on the new science and research literature, they understand that our dogs are family instead of home accessories, and they make clear and deliberate efforts to save their customers money by charging lower than average routine prices and by not running unnecessary tests and prescribing unnecessary medications, while still providing the most effective and science-based care that I've seen yet.
Back 2 Basics helped Mack and Bandit survive unexpected ailments at reasonable costs, and I can say with 100% confidence that my pups are only hiking w me right now because of their professionalism. I can't think of a business that I would recommend more than these guys. Take your dogs here and you will be happy you did.

Top notch vet care!! This is the place to take your pets. If you want honest, caring, amazing, passionate care for your fur persons, I promise you, you will NOT be disappointed!! Prices are very reasonable. Dr Laura & Dr. Kristen are absolutely amazing!! They offer sound advice and will take the natural route first before offering up unnecessary vaccines, medications, procedures. They aren't there to make as much money as they can. They truly care about you and your pets. When it comes to feeding your pets, they will help choose appropriate food for your pets leaning more towards a raw diet which is basically essential and beneficial for your pet in the long run. Trust me on this. I've learned more about feeding options in 6 months than I have in all my life owning pets. I'm sure its going to be controversial, but feeding your pets kibble is such a bad idea!! And you might think it will cost a fortune to feed a raw diet. Its not. The atmosphere of the clinic is relaxing and clean. You always feel welcome. They go out of their way to make sure you and your pet are happy with the services. The reception staff are delightful and really, I love this place. I will never go anywhere else for vet care. Even if I move, I will travel back to see them. Go. HERE!!! My cat Loki totally agrees!! :)

A great place to take all of your animals. They take special care to spend time getting to know you and your animals. Our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and requires insulin. We received a free class on how to give him insulin and check his blood. It was one on one and we felt very comfortable the entire time. I would recommend this vet to anyone and everyone.

This clinic is the absolute best. Extremely sweet, caring, professional staff. They all are extremely personable in terms of remembering my cat, wanting to know updates on her, not only making sure my cat is happy, but that I am as well. I could not be more impressed. I have gotten two “complimentary” visits since we can’t figure out exactly what is going on with my cat. They are working with me and making sure I know all of my options for my cat. 100% recommend for people who want a place that makes you and your pet comfortable while giving you the honest truth about prices.

LOVE this clinic!!! I have never had such professional and complete health care given to my pets. Dr. Laura is the BEST!! She always has information for me to read concerning my pets health/care and is more than versed on answering any and all of my questions. From the time that I am greeted by Brooke and Devan, to the warm kisses for my critters from Vet Tech Sara, both me and my furry animals all feel at home and like one of their family members.

Very happy with Back 2 Basics! I feel like this is the first honest vet clinic we have found. They recommended higher quality food for my cat's digestive issues rather than surgery or drugs, as other vets had previously told me. My cat is doing great now! Very reasonably priced too! I recommend this clinic to everyone!

Wonderful clinic. Dr. Laura is the best. I've been going there for 3 years now. Dr. Laura is simply amazing - very knowledgeable, caring, and thoughtful. She worked with us to provide best treatment for our diabetic cat and make it affordable for us. She encouraged and educated me throughout the whole process. She took care of our other cat with obstructed bladder. She and her staff are always there for us, they provide wonderful service, and we trust them completely. I highly recommend Back 2 Basics!

Back to basics is made up of a family of Specialist that care deeply about each and every animal that comes through their doors. They take the time to explain problems and procedures needed to resolve your pets problem. They want our pets to live long healthy lives. Very happy with Back 2 Basics! I feel like this is the first honest vet clinic we have found. They recommended higher quality food for my cat's digestive issues rather than surgery or drugs, as other vets had previously told me. My cat is doing great now! Very reasonably priced too! I recommend this clinic to everyone!
