I have encountered quite a few veterinary staffs in my lifetime of owning animals and they are the best. This is not lip service either I make the 1 hr and 45 min drive for all my girls appointments from Chicago where I have several vets within a one mile radius.

DLVC offers the HIGHEST quality of care for pets and their owners. All veterinary staff members are up to date with the latest treatments available for both simple problems and complex issues. If they find a situation that is extremely complex they do not hesitate to refer to specialists in the condition in question. The compassion they show to their animal and human clients is beyond what one would expect. Support staff and vet techs are also incredibly compassionate, helpful and try to accommodate customers' needs. They are the BEST!!!!!

We've been taking both our cats and dog to DLVC since we got them and have had nothing but positive experiences. They're always caring and attentive to our pets' needs. We've had such good experiences that we drive 35 minutes to take them there when our local vet is just down the road. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

Staff is friendly and they were able to squeeze me in for an emergency visit pronto. This is definitely the best place I've been to for rabbit care. They really seem to know what they are doing. I do think my rabbit was poisoned though by coconut litter that my mom had given him. Even though I told the vet I had the suspicion she didn't look into it further, and gave me medicine to get his GI system moving again. Later than night, he had a seizure and died, which from what I saw on the internet shouldn't have been a result of his GI stasis and could have been caused by poisoning. Even so, I can't deny the vet was great and I would definitely go there again. They even sent me a condolence card after my rabbit had passed.

Have been taking our dog there since we got her, it started well and the techs and vets were very nice. Our dog loves going to the vet and never winces at shots. During our last visit, The vet gave her a vaccine and she yelped and jumped away. The vet decided to blame my dog who prior to the needle poke was perfectly still and involved with the treats in her face. She was left with a welt for almost a month where she was pricked.
They were supposed to call for a booster reminder and never did, when I finally called asking about the booster shot they immediately wanted to charge another exam for a pill refill and booster shot. For the amount they charge they should be competent enough to do things correctly, and follow up with a phone call or an appointment. Will be gladly taking my business elsewhere

They were extremely friendly and we were put in a room quickly and seen by the vet in just short while later. The facility looks beautiful up-to- date and clean. Dr. Kevin Hartwig truly is the most knowledgeable vet we've ever had! His expertise is second to none. Twice now Dr. Hartwig has saved our dog's life, when other vet's either misdiagnosed or completely missed the picture to begin with on what's going on. Throughout the 2+ years that our dog was under Dr. Hartwig's care (until we moved away) we probably made between 30-50 visits because our dog has two rare diseases and both require frequent visits to monitor her health and proper dosage of medication. Each time he was accommodating, intently listened to us and our concerns, and really just had the best interest of our dog. He never doubted/questioned us when we felt something was 'off' and for our dog's diseases that's a pretty big deal. A week ago we were told by different vets (again not here because we moved) that we needed to prepare ourselves for palliative care for our dog. There was talk that we needed to put her down and that we could have days-weeks left with her. We were told this by 3 vets. None of these other vets listened to what we were saying they just kept referring back to 2 markers on her blood work. I was beside myself and at a complete loss. In a matter of a few days I gathered everything for Dr. Hartwig to look over and sat down with him recapping everything that had happened in short time span. He immediately looked at the information and knew exactly what was going on when. Our family is forever indebted to Dr. Hartwig and no amount of review can do this justification.In our dog's life we've been to around 12+ different vets and seen 20-25 doctors and really you're not going to get any better care than with Dr. Hartwig. I highly recommend.

I have taken my 2 dogs to DLV for the last 8 years and have had nothing but amazing service and care. They have had the opportunity to seen many of the physicians and techs in this time span and they have received nothing but the best care delivered full of respect and caring emotions. (That includes for the family as well f you have experienced illness/injury with your pet). We have always felt like we have been given very educated explanations of conditions with multiple choices for treatment and never rushed into decisions. Love them and their service. Highly recommended.

This place is no good my daughter and wife brought our cat in on Saturday at 1155 am they charged my daughter 180.00 for emergency when they weren't even closed yet the cat was passing out and screaming in pain they did an x-ray and found stones in his blater and one in his private area they wanted 1500.00 up front we had 900.00 in cash the banks are closed it was 100 pm the vet grabbed her stuff and left the tech was rushing us out the door and told us oh well I'm sorry with out full payment we can't do anything our daughter was balling her eye's out they didn't give a dam they just wanted money they are not for the animals they just want to get rich off of someone sadness I took him to our Horse vet he gave him a few shots and put a tube in his private the cat is doing much better my vet said if we would any longer his blater would have burst so to Delavan lakes vets I hope everyone suffer at your place for what you put us through and our cat all they wanted was money and to go home I hope you all rot in hell or vet charged 500.00 and stayed after hours I will forever be loyal to him that is a true vet puts his heart first not his wallet

The Hartwigs are the only vets I trust to take my Guinea Pigs to that will treat them caring, correctly, & knowledgeable. I wouldn't trust taking my Guinea Piggies anywhere else besides Delavan Lakes Veterinary Clinic! It is such an amazing, clean, and professional place with such kind Staff Members & Doctors! My cat Heaven had major gum/tooth problems and had to have 14 teeth pulled. She has recovered very well and upon an additional exam may to have her remaining 4 teeth extracted. I know cats do very well with few or no teeth! Everyone at Delavan Lakes Vet Clinic was very pleasant and professional. They also gave me an estimate of the cost prior to the tooth extractions. I would recommend them for any pet procedures as well as routine check ups.

I would like to go into the clinic to find out the diagnosis and to get to the point of what is actually needed to keep the animal healthy. From the dog's mouth- (1 yr old Shetland sheepdog, Kaiah) The ladies here think I am pretty snazzy. Therefore, I think they are great. They love to pet me and tell me I am pretty. I give them kisses in return. My doctor and vet tech get down on the floor to talk to my mommy which makes me feel involved in my own care. Mommy calls them a lot because I get into a lot of shenanigans and they not alone tolerate my nonsense but laugh with her about it. They have been willing to work with us on money which was nice and they take care credit. Mom brought in a friend's rat and they helped keep the bill do-able for her. That's another thing, they can even care for pet rats!!! That is hard to come by. All in all This place is great. I give it 5 barks. Ps. I still don't trust the parrot... Not sure what I think of birds yet...

Highly recommend anyone looking for a vet this is the place to go. When I would take Attie there ( my 2nd BC) knew when I turned on the street I have never seen her so excited to go there she would go in and immediately go behind the desk, like she owned the place. We've had such good experiences that we drive 35 minutes to take them there when our local vet is just down the road. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

Staff is friendly and they were able to squeeze me in for an emergency visit pronto. This is definitely the best place I've been to for rabbit care. They really seem to know what they are doing. I do think my rabbit was poisoned though by coconut litter that my mom had given him. Even though I told the vet I had the suspicion she didn't look into it further, and gave me medicine to get his GI system moving again. Later than night, he had a seizure and died, which from what I saw on the internet shouldn't have been a result of his GI stasis and could have been caused by poisoning. Even so, I can't deny the vet was great and I would definitely go there again. They even sent me a condolence card after my rabbit had passed.

Have been taking our dog there since we got her, it started well and the techs and vets were very nice. Our dog loves going to the vet and never winces at shots. During our last visit, The vet gave her a vaccine and she yelped and jumped away. The vet decided to blame my dog who prior to the needle poke was perfectly still and involved with the treats in her face. She was left with a welt for almost a month where she was pricked.
They were supposed to call for a booster reminder and never did, when I finally called asking about the booster shot they immediately wanted to charge another exam for a pill refill and booster shot. For the amount they charge they should be competent enough to do things correctly, and follow up with a phone call or an appointment. Will be gladly taking my business elsewhere

They were extremely friendly and we were put in a room quickly and seen by the vet in just short while later. The facility looks beautiful up-to- date and clean. Dr. Kevin Hartwig truly is the most knowledgeable vet we've ever had! His expertise is second to none. Twice now Dr. Hartwig has saved our dog's life, when other vet's either misdiagnosed or completely missed the picture to begin with on what's going on. Throughout the 2+ years that our dog was under Dr. Hartwig's care (until we moved away) we probably made between 30-50 visits because our dog has two rare diseases and both require frequent visits to monitor her health and proper dosage of medication. Each time he was accommodating, intently listened to us and our concerns, and really just had the best interest of our dog. He never doubted/questioned us when we felt something was 'off' and for our dog's diseases that's a pretty big deal. A week ago we were told by different vets (again not here because we moved) that we needed to prepare ourselves for palliative care for our dog. There was talk that we needed to put her down and that we could have days-weeks left with her. We were told this by 3 vets. None of these other vets listened to what we were saying they just kept referring back to 2 markers on her blood work. I was beside myself and at a complete loss. In a matter of a few days I gathered everything for Dr. Hartwig to look over and sat down with him recapping everything that had happened in short time span. He immediately looked at the information and knew exactly what was going on when. Our family is forever indebted to Dr. Hartwig and no amount of review can do this justification.In our dog's life we've been to around 12+ different vets and seen 20-25 doctors and really you're not going to get any better care than with Dr. Hartwig. I highly recommend.

I have taken my 2 dogs to DLV for the last 8 years and have had nothing but amazing service and care. They have had the opportunity to seen many of the physicians and techs in this time span and they have received nothing but the best care delivered full of respect and caring emotions. (That includes for the family as well f you have experienced illness/injury with your pet). We have always felt like we have been given very educated explanations of conditions with multiple choices for treatment and never rushed into decisions. Love them and their service. Highly recommended.

The Hartwigs are the only vets I trust to take my Guinea Pigs to that will treat them caring, correctly, & knowledgeable. I wouldn't trust taking my Guinea Piggies anywhere else besides Delavan Lakes Veterinary Clinic! It is such an amazing, clean, and professional place with such kind Staff Members & Doctors! My cat Heaven had major gum/tooth problems and had to have 14 teeth pulled. She has recovered very well and upon an additional exam may to have her remaining 4 teeth extracted. I know cats do very well with few or no teeth! Everyone at Delavan Lakes Vet Clinic was very pleasant and professional. They also gave me an estimate of the cost prior to the tooth extractions. I would recommend them for any pet procedures as well as routine check ups.

I would like to go into the clinic to find out the diagnosis and to get to the point of what is actually needed to keep the animal healthy. Then I would like for the clinic to provide the testing needed and not all the extra nonsense.

From the dog's mouth- (1 yr old Shetland sheepdog, Kaiah) The ladies here think I am pretty snazzy. Therefore, I think they are great. They love to pet me and tell me I am pretty. I give them kisses in return. My doctor and vet tech get down on the floor to talk to my mommy which makes me feel involved in my own care. Mommy calls them a lot because I get into a lot of shenanigans and they not alone tolerate my nonsense but laugh with her about it. They have been willing to work with us on money which was nice and they take care credit. Mom brought in a friend's rat and they helped keep the bill do-able for her. That's another thing, they can even care for pet rats!!! That is hard to come by. All in all This place is great. I give it 5 barks. Ps. I still don't trust the parrot... Not sure what I think of birds yet...

This is my 3rd Border Collie that they have cared for, the 2 previous that I lost everyone I mean everyone were so caring so kind. I can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommend anyone looking for a vet this is the place to go. When I would take Attie there ( my 2nd BC) knew when I turned on the street I have never seen her so excited to go there she would go in and immediately go behind the desk, like she owned the place.
