Recently took my kitten in to get neutered and declawed, and walked out with a hacked up cat, $315 later (and that was after I negotiated taking $20 off unnecessary charges). I get him home to realize that two of his front-paw incisions weren't completely surgically glued shut, so I called to speak to the vet. Of course, the assistant screens the call to tell me she personally inspected his paws before he was released to me, which she clearly hadn't, but I can bring him back in, so they can "figure out what happened". So I immediately get back in the car to return my angry and pained cat, and myself who was also equally upset at that point, to get his paws taken care of to avoid infection. I also noticed his testicles looked the exact same size they were before the neuter. Understandable, but they we're unusually bloody and swollen than recoveries I've ever seen before in any routine neuter procedure in the past (on my own cats, or others cats..) They were (and still are) unusually inflamed; so my first thought was, what even happened, and why does he still look unaltered? Mind you, he's sprayed twice already since I brought him back home. I've had many cats in the past with the same procedures done at another animal hospital in Brookfield, and not ONCE have I seen such a routine case look like this, nor had to return to have the procedure completed. The incisions always healed well, and had very minimal bleeding and swelling. Think about human medicine... I can only imagine what my poor cat endured. So anyways, I do my own inspection of all of his paws once I arrive because I'm already sketchy and irritated for the lack of professionalism proven; Dr. Chughtai walks in casually and asks what happened as if it were my fault he conveniently forgot to glue his paws right the FIRST TIME; no apology, no explanation, no empathy, and no suggestion for a follow up appointment given to us. Instead I received a smart question of, "would you like to check them again yourself"? Um, that's what I paid the Vet to do himself, which clearly I made the mistake of getting my cats surgery done here in the first place because something as simple as glued paws weren't carried out thoroughly. My cat wouldn't reopen an incision that was properly closed, just as the rest of his paws have stayed shut, except those two. Nevertheless, they were re-glued and STILL came open again and look terrible to me, as do his testicles (in comparison to the cats I've had with the same procedure done on). Bottom line: Do your research beforehand FROM LEGITIMATE SOURCES (like yelp /angle's list), that cannot be altered, nor skewed from input from businesses and third party review solutions ... Be sure you're selecting a morally encompassed, professional, caring Vet. I wish I had just went back to my original vet... I will not be taking my cat back here, nor recommend anyone else to this veterinarian. I honestly just expected a decent, thorough job with professionalism added for the price I paid as a client, and for my inconvenienced cat... That was the very least he could've done, in my opinion. And clearly, reviews below prove that I'm not the only one who had a similar issue here. And now I'll have to worry the next two weeks and keep a close eye on his progress, and hope no future complications arise. Read Less
