Called to make an appointment to see a specialist that only works at one of the other locations. This was after an unexpected and serious diagnosis from our regular vet. Since I was referred to that specialist, I had no idea which location to call, called the one that was most convenient to me.
The person that answered the phone informed me that that particular specialists doesn't work at that location. I asked if they could transfer me over to that location and the person literally said "I'm kind of in the middle of something, can I just give you the number?"
Since it's one main number (with a rather lengthy phone menu), clearly I didn't need the number again-- I just called it. I was really irritated and upset that this crappy service, having been in Customer Service for over a decade.
Ultimately, after scheduling my appointment (1.5 months out- my dog could be dead by then), I decided to cancel my appointment and haul my dog down to Chicago, where I can get an appointment next week. My experience with this one receptionist has really soured me on this Vet, so I'll likely go out of my way to avoid in the future.

We absolutely felt like our dog was in good hands for her surgery. Everyone was incredibly supportive and showed care for our dog as if she was theirs. Dr. Accola and Sarah were excellent! Our pug, Bear, has had eye problems off and on for much of his life and recently got a second corneal ulcer that we were very worried about which brought us to Dr. Accola. We were very surprised at how in-depth the eye exam was and how much more they were able to do than a regular vet office. He was able to get the ulcer healed very quickly and even put us on a long term plan to help prevent further issues. Both Dr. Accola and Sarah spent a lot of time answering all of our questions which we really appreciated and we are so happy we decided to go see them. If anyone is considering seeing an ophthalmologist for their pet we would definitely recommend they go see these two!

The staff at WVRC was extraordinary in every way. The services they did on our litter of kittens was very reasonably priced and there was a genuine focus on the quality of care which I found outstanding. They were clear and concise in explaining our cat and kittens prognosis and even followed up with us the next day. I highly recommend their services for excellence in all they did for us.

Everyone was extremely friendly and caring. All my questions were answered throughly and very reasonably priced. Not even 24 hours later, our cat is doing so much better. Thank you WVRC!

These people mistreated our puppy and us! I could not believe what we went through with this place. Our dog broke his leg so we had to go to the emergency room which was this facility. We spent hours here and they overcharged us for everything, all they did was give an x-ray with someone that didn't even know how to explain the x-ray and then kept the dog overnight with no support on his broken leg and that came to 700$ just for that night. The next day we had to decide how we would pay for an estimated 3500$ surgery. This doctor gave us a "range" price sheet that ranged from 3200$-5900$. We decided to talk to other doctors and they told us we could get the surgery done for 1350$. Once we found that out we went back and told them we were going to go to the other vet. Sadly we wouldn't be able to get the surgery for a couple of days and the head vet at this place told us we couldn't wait a couple of days to have the surgery so we would have to splint it since we couldn't afford the surgery. The dog is now splinted and two hours later I get a call from the other vet telling me that we got screwed out of our money because for one. They can do a splint for 150$ and for two. Because the dog can go 5-7days and still have a very successful surgery. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! THE WORKERS DONT CARE FOR THE DOGS AND THE HEAD VET IS A LIAR! Highly do not recommend this place because they took every penny we have as college students and they didn't even provide us with anything really. Terrible people. Kills me on the inside that there are people like this in the world.

I didn't have a super duper emergency but my dogs nail was completely separated from the quick and was bleeding everywhere. My regular vet couldn't get us in until later. I could tell my dog was in severe discomfort as she was very frantic and crying. I tried to stop the bleeding to no avail. So off to the ER we go! This was our very first visit and I felt a little silly as I knew there are pets with very serious cases who need to be seen before my dog. But we were lucky enough to suprisingly walk into a very warm and inviting lobby with no other pets. The receptionist was fantastic and had great customer service skills. My dog was seen in a timely fashion and discharged by the vet who was very nice as well. The bill was not as bad as I expected so that's always great! I would not hesitate to come back if need be, although I hope I don't have to, and I'd recommend these guys to anyone! Thanks for helping my Opal. She's doing great and loves her pink princess wrap!

Thank you so much to the Staff at WVRC for taking care of my Fur baby Dodger, when my mom took him in on the 3rd of this month. The Dr was the same one that took care of my Fur babies last summer. My Sweet Dodger had to be put down, I opted for a Private Cremation, and a PawPrint. The staff at WVRC made this situation easier for me and my family to handle, where as other places would of made this time more difficult. I also want to thank the staff for the Card, Poem for Rainbow Bridge, the seeds in honor of Dodger, and the information for Pet Grieving Therapy. I received my little boy today, which they told us that it would be around the 20th, they were fast, efficient, compassionate, and Empathic! I recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone who needs to see a Vet after hours!

They not only zeroed in on what it was, but what would painlessly and quickly get him back to himself. And when we expressed that we only had a certain amount of money to spend, they adjusted the bill to fall within that amount. Rocky is doing great, and is his normally energetic, playful self. Kind and compassionate staff. My dog was treated last year for lepto, spent 6 nights in ICU, had a grim prognosis but pulled through thanks to their awesome team. This year he was treated for a mast cell tumor, received chemo, and is considered to be in remission. I have always had a positive experience with the staff despite the difficult circumstances for being there in the first place. I know not all outcomes are this good, but I appreciate the dedication of the staff in reception, emergency, internal medicine, and oncology to do what they can to get the best result.

whether you graduate #1 from the best veterinary school in the nation or graduate last from the worst school, they are all called Doctor and innocent patients are left to suffer. After having my golden retriever for 21 hours and still having no diagnosis because they did nothing more than an x ray - we picked him up and took him to lake geneva animal hospital. within 20 minutes we had an ultrasound and a blood test showing his liver was failing because he had Lepto. Do not entrust your loved one with these jokers. they failed to do basic baseline tests and to call them incompetent doesn't begin to tell the story. We lost a precious 24 hours where he could and should have been on an IV of antibiotics to treat the lepto - which can be fatal. Dr. Meghan Glazer and Dr. Karch should both lose their licenses. To make matters worse, the clinic director did not return my call to address my demand for a full refund for the money I paid in advance and in good faith in the expectation of competent care. They are hiding from taking responsibility.

This morning, Thanksgiving day, when everywhere is closed, WVRC in Racine helped me over the phone and anticipated my arrival, bringing in my cat who had to be euthanized. The ladies at the office were all so very nice and caring and let me and my daughter be a part of the process of losing our princess kitty. Thank you so much. It was affordable to bring comfort to her so she wouldn't suffer through the weekend and they were respectful that was my decision, and didn't try to force costly life saving procedures to me. I'll definitely use their services again if needed.

On Saturday, October 8th we had to bring our beloved cat Spooky in to end her suffering. We had been thinking about this and hoping we would not have to make that decision. But that day we knew it was time. It was the hardest decision and we are heartbroken. She was 19 years old. I have only needed a pet emergency room three times in the last twenty years, but my experience with WVRC has been absolutely the best.

We had our 5 year old Shitzu in, our 1st visit in Grafton at 11:00 at night for severe vomiting and lethargic behavior. Dr. Isaacson(Molly) and our Tech Libby, were outstanding in their treatment and care of our precious dog. I, was a basketcase, fearing the worst and never ever having any illness problems with our dog or any experience with an emergency Vet hospital. I cannot rave enough about the care he received and the thoughtfulness and compassion that was shown to my dog, my husband and myself...Hats off the the Grafton Veterinary Emergency hospital. Our dog was treated with fluids, shots and released. He was much better the next day and now is back to normal. They. even, followed up with a courtesy call to check on his well being.. We unexpectedly took our cat here about 2 weeks ago at 10:30pm where he saw Dr. Wiedmeyer at the Racine location. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming during our stressful situation. Unfortunately, Monster ended up crossing the rainbow bridge that night, but Dr. Wiedmeyer was very reassuring that we made the correct decision and in explaining all of our options. We even received a hand written sympathy card with poem and paw print of flowers from the staff a few days later.

EXTRAORDINARY care for animals. Pets could not be in better hands, no matter what the situation is. The entire staff is kind & caring. The Doctors are phenomenal! We have taken two of our precious cats there, that other vets could not cure. Today, thanks to WVRC, and Dr. Temo, both of our cats are home with us and thriving. It's comforting to know that WVRC is there 24/7, 365 days a year. We are very fortunate to have that clinic in our area. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
The best thing we ever did for our pets was take them to WVRC!!!

They used a long-acting antibiotic which saves us the trouble of trying to get kitty to swallow a pill twice a day - thank God for advancement in medicine! But I mention it because our regular vet doesn't use these long acting meds yet and I appreciate that WVRC is "up with the times"!!

Our pug, Bear, has had eye problems off and on for much of his life and recently got a second corneal ulcer that we were very worried about which brought us to Dr. Accola. We were very surprised at how in-depth the eye exam was and how much more they were able to do than a regular vet office. He was able to get the ulcer healed very quickly and even put us on a long term plan to help prevent further issues. Both Dr. Accola and Sarah spent a lot of time answering all of our questions which we really appreciated and we are so happy we decided to go see them. If anyone is considering seeing an ophthalmologist for their pet we would definitely recommend they go see these two!

The staff at WVRC was extraordinary in every way. The services they did on our litter of kittens was very reasonably priced and there was a genuine focus on the quality of care which I found outstanding. They were clear and concise in explaining our cat and kittens prognosis and even followed up with us the next day. I highly recommend their services for excellence in all they did for us.

I couldn't be any more happy with how I as a pet owner and my cat were taken care of here. I called for advice around 9 p.m. on what to do, came in an hour later and had great service. Everyone was extremely friendly and caring. All my questions were answered throughly and very reasonably priced. Not even 24 hours later, our cat is doing so much better. Thank you WVRC!

These people mistreated our puppy and us! I could not believe what we went through with this place. Our dog broke his leg so we had to go to the emergency room which was this facility. We spent hours here and they overcharged us for everything, all they did was give an x-ray with someone that didn't even know how to explain the x-ray and then kept the dog overnight with no support on his broken leg and that came to 700$ just for that night. The next day we had to decide how we would pay for an estimated 3500$ surgery. This doctor gave us a "range" price sheet that ranged from 3200$-5900$. We decided to talk to other doctors and they told us we could get the surgery done for 1350$. Once we found that out we went back and told them we were going to go to the other vet. Sadly we wouldn't be able to get the surgery for a couple of days and the head vet at this place told us we couldn't wait a couple of days to have the surgery so we would have to splint it since we couldn't afford the surgery. The dog is now splinted and two hours later I get a call from the other vet telling me that we got screwed out of our money because for one. They can do a splint for 150$ and for two. Because the dog can go 5-7days and still have a very successful surgery. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! THE WORKERS DONT CARE FOR THE DOGS AND THE HEAD VET IS A LIAR! Highly do not recommend this place because they took every penny we have as college students and they didn't even provide us with anything really. Terrible people. Kills me on the inside that there are people like this in the world.

I didn't have a super duper emergency but my dogs nail was completely separated from the quick and was bleeding everywhere. My regular vet couldn't get us in until later. I could tell my dog was in severe discomfort as she was very frantic and crying. I tried to stop the bleeding to no avail. So off to the ER we go! This was our very first visit and I felt a little silly as I knew there are pets with very serious cases who need to be seen before my dog. But we were lucky enough to suprisingly walk into a very warm and inviting lobby with no other pets. The receptionist was fantastic and had great customer service skills. My dog was seen in a timely fashion and discharged by the vet who was very nice as well. The bill was not as bad as I expected so that's always great! I would not hesitate to come back if need be, although I hope I don't have to, and I'd recommend these guys to anyone! Thanks for helping my Opal. She's doing great and loves her pink princess wrap!

Thank you so much to the Staff at WVRC for taking care of my Fur baby Dodger, when my mom took him in on the 3rd of this month. The Dr was the same one that took care of my Fur babies last summer. My Sweet Dodger had to be put down, I opted for a Private Cremation, and a PawPrint. The staff at WVRC made this situation easier for me and my family to handle, where as other places would of made this time more difficult. I also want to thank the staff for the Card, Poem for Rainbow Bridge, the seeds in honor of Dodger, and the information for Pet Grieving Therapy. I received my little boy today, which they told us that it would be around the 20th, they were fast, efficient, compassionate, and Empathic! I recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone who needs to see a Vet after hours!

Not sure that I could say enough about the fabulous staff here. When our seven month old German Sheppard suddenly contracted a very serious infection on his neck. They not only zeroed in on what it was, but what would painlessly and quickly get him back to himself. And when we expressed that we only had a certain amount of money to spend, they adjusted the bill to fall within that amount. Rocky is doing great, and is his normally energetic, playful self. Kind and compassionate staff. My dog was treated last year for lepto, spent 6 nights in ICU, had a grim prognosis but pulled through thanks to their awesome team. This year he was treated for a mast cell tumor, received chemo, and is considered to be in remission. I have always had a positive experience with the staff despite the difficult circumstances for being there in the first place. I know not all outcomes are this good, but I appreciate the dedication of the staff in reception, emergency, internal medicine, and oncology to do what they can to get the best result.

After having my golden retriever for 21 hours and still having no diagnosis because they did nothing more than an x ray - we picked him up and took him to lake geneva animal hospital. within 20 minutes we had an ultrasound and a blood test showing his liver was failing because he had Lepto. Do not entrust your loved one with these jokers. they failed to do basic baseline tests and to call them incompetent doesn't begin to tell the story. We lost a precious 24 hours where he could and should have been on an IV of antibiotics to treat the lepto - which can be fatal. Dr. Meghan Glazer and Dr. Karch should both lose their licenses. To make matters worse, the clinic director did not return my call to address my demand for a full refund for the money I paid in advance and in good faith in the expectation of competent care. They are hiding from taking responsibility.

This morning, Thanksgiving day, when everywhere is closed, WVRC in Racine helped me over the phone and anticipated my arrival, bringing in my cat who had to be euthanized. The ladies at the office were all so very nice and caring and let me and my daughter be a part of the process of losing our princess kitty. Thank you so much. It was affordable to bring comfort to her so she wouldn't suffer through the weekend and they were respectful that was my decision, and didn't try to force costly life saving procedures to me. I'll definitely use their services again if needed.

On Saturday, October 8th we had to bring our beloved cat Spooky in to end her suffering. We had been thinking about this and hoping we would not have to make that decision. But that day we knew it was time. It was the hardest decision and we are heartbroken. She was 19 years old. From the folks at the front desk to the doctors, everyone was professional yet warm and concerned for my cat's welfare. I would recommend them highly. I have only needed a pet emergency room three times in the last twenty years, but my experience with WVRC has been absolutely the best.

We had our 5 year old Shitzu in, our 1st visit in Grafton at 11:00 at night for severe vomiting and lethargic behavior. Dr. Isaacson(Molly) and our Tech Libby, were outstanding in their treatment and care of our precious dog. I, was a basketcase, fearing the worst and never ever having any illness problems with our dog or any experience with an emergency Vet hospital. I cannot rave enough about the care he received and the thoughtfulness and compassion that was shown to my dog, my husband and myself...Hats off the the Grafton Veterinary Emergency hospital. Our dog was treated with fluids, shots and released. He was much better the next day and now is back to normal. They. even, followed up with a courtesy call to check on his well being.. We unexpectedly took our cat here about 2 weeks ago at 10:30pm where he saw Dr. Wiedmeyer at the Racine location. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming during our stressful situation. Unfortunately, Monster ended up crossing the rainbow bridge that night, but Dr. Wiedmeyer was very reassuring that we made the correct decision and in explaining all of our options. We even received a hand written sympathy card with poem and paw print of flowers from the staff a few days later.

EXTRAORDINARY care for animals. Pets could not be in better hands, no matter what the situation is. The entire staff is kind & caring. The Doctors are phenomenal! We have taken two of our precious cats there, that other vets could not cure. Today, thanks to WVRC, and Dr. Temo, both of our cats are home with us and thriving. It's comforting to know that WVRC is there 24/7, 365 days a year. We are very fortunate to have that clinic in our area. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
The best thing we ever did for our pets was take them to WVRC!!!

They used a long-acting antibiotic which saves us the trouble of trying to get kitty to swallow a pill twice a day - thank God for advancement in medicine!
