We have used Allouez Animal Hospital since 2005 when we moved to the Green Bay area (cats and dogs). I have always been a satisfied client who mostly just showed up yearly for vaccines and checkups, but recently a few events have shown me that Dr. Becky and staff are truly extraordinary and our family is well beyond satisfied. First, I had to put down my dog in the Fall of 2014. It was devastating and Dr. Becky was so compassionate and caring. Much more recently, our new dog became severely ill. He has a rare disease that is known as the great pretender or great imitator since the symptoms mimic those of more common diseases. It makes it tough to diagnose since vets see it so rarely. Dr. Becky recalled a case from vet school and figured out what was wrong with my dog relatively quickly and that saved his life. This disease is requiring a lot of care and more than one time, we thought we might lose our dog before the medicine could even arrive for treatment. {Side note - NO ONE carries this in their office since it is pricey and rarely used so this isn't a criticism of Allouez Animal (who contacted several local vet clinics to see if anyone had any - nope). We even contacted a huge vet clinic in Milwaukee that claimed they had a fully stocked pharmacy and they didn't have it.} Dr. Becky got the medicine quickly (ordered based on her hunch before we even had confirmation so we were able to treat the day after the test confirmed the illness) and she has been with us every step of the way. After his confirmed diagnosis, we discussed the latest protocols and came up with a treatment plan that should ensure my dog will be with us for many years to come. Additionally, Mandi, Sam, Amy, Lauren and the entire staff are very patient when you are calling incessantly, because you are scared for your pet. The entire staff is very kind and very professional. When our pets were all relatively healthy, we were satisfied but didn't think much more about it. Now that we have also had to deal with far more complex and difficult situations, we know just how truly great Allouez Animal Hospital is and how lucky we are to have Dr. Becky looking out for our pets. Susie, Yonah, Schnickelfritz (Fritz to his friends), and Buster are a combination of canine and feline furbabies that live with us and have successfully trained us to be great pet parents. In October 2015 my cat, Bonnie, died unexpectedly during the night. I was heartbroken that morning when I called the clinic . The receptionist took time to explain options for Bonnie and was very empathetic.. I had bought a large bag of food for Bonnie a couple of days earlier. She had a digestive sensitivity.The office took the unopened bag back in exchange for cremation fees. Dr Neil took the time to call me with the results of his post mortum exam. In January, I adopted two cats that were being cared for at the clinic from the Bay Area Animal Shelter. Again the staff showed me as well as my kitties kindness and special treatment. My dog and several cats over the years have seen both Dr. Becky and Dr. Neil and they are wonderful. They take great care of my guys and me too. I know they care about our guys and always take time to explain things to me. One of my cats had renal failure and they gave him fluids every week so my spooky would feel better for no cost to me. My emotional support dog broke her leg in a 90 degree angle after spending a ridiculous amount of money I couldn't afford we were turned away from the 24 hr clinic because we didn't have more money and of course it happened at night I was directed to Dr Becky first thing the next morning and she was amazing, reasonable pricing, easy to get in to see the staff was kind and caring a total opposite of our experience the night before she is good as new now thanks to Dr Becky and the staff I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent veterinary care! I can't express my thanks to Dr. Neil and Dr. Becky for helping take care of my felv positive kitties. They have always been very kind, and understanding with explaining different treatment options for my kiddos. We moved to the area almost a year ago and started bringing our cat Ruby to the Allouez Animal Hospital because it was the closest to our house. Our kitty is an older kitty with chronic renal failure and Dr. Becky and the gals at this clinic have been so so amazing with our old girl! In my opinion, this clinic has gone above and beyond treating her. As a part of her treatment plan, she needs to have extra fluids given to her weekly (now bi-weekly) and these sweet gals help do this service for me every week, free of charge! Dr. Neil... what can I say but thank you. Our dog, Frankie was special, never like other dogs. He could not jump on the sofa and was frequently in pain due to his issues. Dr. Neil was caring, compassionate and honest throughout Frankie's entire life. He worked with us regarding his medicine therapies to best suit our little man and keep him out of the chronic pain he suffered. Neil listened. We've been taking our animals to Allouez Animal Hospital for over 20 years! The vets are always kind, caring and knowledgable. We once kenneled a pug puppy there and one of the vets' mother came in and played with her! They've seen us through the loss of pets and the joys of new "children".
