Took my puppy there to be tested for Parvo which they conducted a snap test for which came back positive, and went to the Animal referral clinic in Appleton. The next day we got a extended test done that came back negative. Following the series of events i reached out to them and expressed my concern for their process following the diagnosis of Parvo to people and the lack of information they provided us which they did not read or acknowledge but responded with information irrelevant to my concerns. I wish i could say they assisted in the speedy recovery of my puppy but it felt more like they were just trying to push us out the door to the next vet with no information and frightened. Read Less

My 11 year old cat needed to have dental work done, and I was nervous since she's getting to be fairly "mature." We had recently moved away from the area, and I took her to another vet that was closer, who was going to charge me nearly twice what Parkside in GB was. This other vet also said she needed more extractions (without doing any x-rays). Parkside knows how to effectively deal with cats, especially the ones that are less than enthusiastic about going to the vet, and they are great at providing care. My cat recovered better even than she did the first time she got her teeth cleaned from a different vet four years ago. This vet is the perfect combination of cost effective and great care. I brought a nervous pit bull here to get her established with a regular veterinarian. The technicians and the vet were really great with her. I had to bring her back the very next day for an eye issue, and again they were all wonderful with her and gave her a courtesy exam and were great about explaining the diagnosis and treatment process. Within a month, almost to the day, Parkside helped another one of our sick pets. Zoey, our American Bulldog, had pancreatitis in June and now, Butterscotch, one of our 3 cats, has a very bad infection going on somewhere in his body. I was extremely impressed with Parkside Animal Care Center. My dog was having some pain so I brought him in for a check up. He hadn't been to a vet in a while so he wasn't up to date on shots and such. The tech and vet we more concerned with finding out what was wrong than pushing the shots on us. They were friendly and caring and took great care of my dog. I was also impressed that a few weeks after the called to check in and see how he was doing and to make sure he was feeling better. Since our breeder worked with Parkside, which came highly recommended, we switched from our prior vet. I wish we never had. When dropping off our dog to be groomed and receive vet services, my husband confirmed the pick up time we were told when making the appointment. Much to his surprise, he was told the groomer was not in till 1 pm. He then asked if 5 pm would work. They confirmed it would. When he arrived at 5 pm, he was asked if he could come back at 7 pm. Did I mention that nothing was done yet? I understand issues can occur, but no one called either my husband or I to let us know or provide us options. Needless to say, we were less than thrilled. When I got home, I was mortified by what the groomer did. You are never to brush or comb our dog. It was apparent that this was done despite the fact I specifically told them to note this for the groomer when we made the appointment. However, even if I didn't, what type of groomer doesn't research the dog you are going to groom? Isn't that part of the job? Displeased at the services provided and their lack communication, I contacted the clinic. I was appalled at the lack of professionalism of the service manager. After much discussion, she asked me what I wanted her to do. I mentioned it would have been nice if they at least offered to credit the grooming. It wasn't until this point that she mentions a credit has already been applied. Really? This was never mentioned to my husband when she talked to him while he waited for our dog or to me during the any part of conversation with her. Don't you think you would lead with that when you have a dissatisfied customer? I requested our dog's files be sent to us while I discussed with my husband if we wanted to continue services with the clinic. Needless to say, I was mortified by the records received. At the prior visit, it mentioned that the vet advised us about socialization. If that conversation occurred, it did not happen with me or my husband who were both there that day. Then it states at our most recent visit that behavior concerns were discussed with us again. Never happened. I am truly flabbergasted. We never had these types of issues with our prior vet. If we had an issue, it was handled promptly and professionally. If they were running behind or our dog was having a rough day, we were called immediately. If you want a veterinarian team that is trustworthy, compassionate and professional, this is definitely not the place for you.Read Less

Parkside Animal Care was suggested to me by a friend. I took my senior cat for a checkup and was wowed. Both my cat and I were warmly welcomed. The checkup was thorough and the recommendations were clearly explained and time was taken to have my questions answered. Everyone working there is friendly and very compassionate. Each time I return, whether for a checkup or to pick up supplies, there is the same welcoming feeling and questions about my cat. I cannot say enough about how great everyone is!! My dog is not a fan of the vet at all but they do a great job to keep her calm and get her out as fast as possible. The staff is the best! Our alaskan malamute mix had canine AIHA (blood disease), and the staff at Parkside Animal Care nursed him back to health (He was so sick, his recovery seemed miraculous). Recently our very old cat got sick - thyroid trouble, weight loss, and finally bladder troubles. The staff was very compassionate thru the end - they "get" that pets are part of your family, and it is sad to see them go. The entire staff welcomes my lab mix Kobe and me like we are the most important people coming in the door. I have found that the combined years of expertise in the staff gives Kobe and me all the resources I need. Recently Kobe was being neutered, and Cindy called me at work to see if I wanted Kobe micro-chipped. Not two months later he escaped and was taken to the humane society. Thank God Cindy made that call. Kobe was back home within one hour. They don't try to sell you any unnecessary services, although if you want something extra they have it.
