Called around and couldn't get an appointment for the little stray we brought home. She'd been out in the bad blizzard we had this spring and had some issues with her ears. I called animal house after reading some good reviews and got in right away. Everyone was very nice and fixed the kitten right up. They scanned for a chip, ran some test, gave her some shots and gave me drops for her ear infection. I was very pleased when the bill came it was barely over a hundred. I was expecting to pay twice as much for everything they did for her. We ended up keeping her and named her Envy. I have an older girl whos 13 we took her in for a UTI recently and once again they were able to see me right away. The place was packed when i got there and it was close to closing. We were in and out within half an hour with meds for the UTI and drops for her itchy ears from a food allergy. Once again the bill was barely a hundred. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Animal House. The doctors were excellent and the front line staff were kind and knowledgeable. This is one of the best vet clinics I have been to. I took my cat here after some complications and the staff is excellent. The veterinarian was on time and very nice. After some tests was sent home with some medication for my cat, the veterinarian followed up with me a few days later. It was nice to have a vet clinic that cared a lot about the health of my animal. We kenneled our two labs here for a week while we were in California, Animal House was highly recommended and had great reviews so I felt pretty comfortable leaving my boys here.  The staff here is excellent, they didn't mind me calling everyday and even Texted me pictures. I think the prices are a little higher than other places but you get what you pay for; great staff, clean safe environment, private playtime (my dogs are intact), and vets available if needed.  I would highly recommend Animal house and would not board my dogs anywhere else. I highly recommend! Dr. Pat and all of the other vets I have worked with have been amazing and my pug, Char is the healthiest she has ever been! I have to rave about Evan Easterhouse, trainer at The Animal House Groom & Board. I have been to many, many trainers through the years with my pugs and Evan is by far the most patient, most knowledgeable, wonderful trainer/person to work with. He is so easy to talk with and work with no matter what the age of your dog; it's never too late. Evan gave me tips to take home even before my pug's first official lesson with him. What he shared with me immediately changed my pug's behavior and he gave us immediate results. I highly recommend Evan because he has incredible positive and calming energy and he is the "real deal." He is passionate about your dog's behavior and is dedicated to working with you. You can tell that Evan loves dogs and that this is his passion. Wonderful experience with both our dogs- recent visit was for a hurt back in our little one. In and out in under 30 minutes with prescriptions (which they had already cut the tablets in half for me!), and she is already feeling better and eating like normal again. I dropped off my dog at 9am for a grooming. I called at 1:15pm thinking it had been past the "normal" three hours that we had experienced at other groomers. The receptionist checked with the groomer and said it would be three hours, as he had a 12pm appointment. I stated I had brought him in at 9am and he had a 9am appointment. The receptionist checked with the groomer and then told me it would be an hour and a half because there was a mix up. My poor dog has been locked in a kennel for 4+ hours?!? That is cruel! This is extremely disappointing, as we use Animal House for our vet and for boarding. We thought the grooming would be just as good.Read Less

DO.NOT.GO.HERE Oh my gosh, it is hard to keep my composure and not use foul language writing this. I am livid. My boyfriend and I took our baby leopard gecko here(again, BABY leopard gecko) and Heidi Lewis nearly strangled him to death. There is a correct way and a VERY incorrect way to handle a reptile especially one that small. There is NO way that she has any experience with geckos because she used SO much pressure on his throat and his head, so much so that her finger was turning white from pressure. There is NO need to do that. She saw me handle him fine, and how calm he was and she still chose to use extremely unnecessary force with him. All of that for her to say "don't handle him and stress him out" and tell us that there was nothing that could be done about him not eating. Absolutely disgusted with how my pet was handled. If I could leave zero stars I would. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE. Read Less

Our kitten was misdiagnosed and died maybe a week or two after. We still owe them money from the appointment where she was misdiagnosed. The veterinarian didn't seem concerned about a lot of things that, in hindsight, should have been extremely concerning-- she wasn't growing, she was depressed, she had bald spots, etc. Friendly staff. I am a new puppy owner of a German Shepherd named Xena. I only had her a few days and she started vomiting and having diarrhea. Animal House was the 3rd place I called and they could get her in the same day within a couple of hours. Dr. Pat Warpinski saw her, and I was very happy with his service. A week later I brought her back for vaccinations now that she was feeling good, and had a great interaction with Dr. Kelly. I will keep brining my puppy here, and I am thinking about switching my cat to here as well now. The prices are even more reasonable than the other places I originally looked at. I have also signed up my little Xena for puppy daycare, felt like a nervous mother dropping her for her behavior assessment and leaving her there if she passed for a few hours. Well she must have loved it because was sound asleep after being brought home and when I brought her there today (her 2nd visit) she just walked right off with a staff member and didn't look at me again. I also do like that you do a behavior assessment, I do not mind the extra cost. Gives me a peace of mind that you are really taking the time to do what you can to screen dogs and keep them safe. I looked at other daycares and so far none do a behavior assessment. Thank you for your amazing work, and I will refer you to anyone I know.Read Less

I will never go anywhere else! I feel like this is my home away from home with all of my animals. They take such great care of them and are willing to fit you in if need be without an appointment. From comforting us when we had to put our cat down to letting us rush our Boston terrier in with his eye ripped open to just every day needs this is the place to go! Extremely disappointed. We're leaving for camping tomorrow and our regular get is closed. I called Animal House who told me I could come and get the flea and tick chewable there, as my dog is allergic to the liquid. When I got there after work another woman told me that they have to charge me to see my dog first, which I was never told earlier, or have a prescription from my vet. Again my vet is closed today. I've heard some good things about animal house and have actually been thinking about switching over but if their staff is giving wrong information about simple flea and tick preventative I don't hate to think about the big mess ups. I'm very happy with the care that my cat received at the Animal House when he became sick. They kept me updated while he was hospitalized in the clinic and got him feeling better in no time. One-stop shop for all things furry. I have boarded my dog here, gotten him his shots as well as had his teeth cleaned. I am always satisfied with the level of care they take with their mangy clients. When I got my puppy, I knew that I needed to socialize her with other dogs so that she wouldn't grow up to be a little jerk (don't laugh, that's a real concern!). I checked out three doggie daycares in the area and had basically come to the conclusion that I'd have to pick the lesser of several evils, when I wandered into The Animal House. Here's why I ended up choosing them:- When I visited, the staff members actually interacted with my dog and were excited to meet her. They genuinely love animals! Contrast this with the staff at other businesses who barely acknowledged her. Seriously, I was carrying around the most adorable 10-week-old pug puppy! How can you ignore all of that cuteness? Apparently at the place that rhymes with BoldHusk, they employ cyborgs.- The facility is spotless. This is a building that contains, on a given day, more than 50 dogs for daycare and boarding, plus the grooming facility generating what must be snowdrifts of shed hair, and yet it doesn't have that dog smell. They are meticulous about cleaning and I believe the entire place is cleaned top to bottom daily, including pressure washing the heavily trafficked areas. - Their reception area is for dogs and people, not a gift shop. I didn't have to weave my way through racks of dog clothes and jingly fairy collars. They do have a well-curated selection of products but it seems to be only things the staff endorses. And I'm there almost every weekday and I've never once been upsold.- Their kennel areas are HUGE and nice. No boarding in a small crate, the dogs actually get runs. No stupid themed crates! Your dog doesn't care about sports teams! It just wants a clean warm dry place to sleep. Also, they play a radio in the kennel areas, at no extra cost (other places actually charged for that, can you believe it?)- They require every dog to have temperament testing before they accept them into day care. They make sure that all dogs play well with other dogs and emphasize safety and fun for our little friends.So, since then, I have about a million other reasons to love The Animal House. The staff is consistent and many of them have educational backgrounds and certifications in animal sciences. I have taken the obedience classes offered and they are phenomenal! Oh, and the best part? They are literally 50 feet away from a vet's office, so if your dog needs a shot updated or isn't feeling well, you can have them take care of it while your dog is at day care. No time off of work needed to do the yearly shots! Also, they watch the dogs very closely and inspect them as part of their day. I've had times where they've called me to alert me to the fact that my dog wasn't feeling well or was acting sluggish. This is serious individual attention!We switched our vet and now take both our cat and our dog to see Dr. Pat at the adjacent vet center, too. And of course, our dog absolutely adores day care and comes home well-exercised and happy. On Sundays, it's obvious how much energy she must be exerting at day care because she starts getting squirrelly and as we all know from watching The Dog Whisperer, the key to a well-behaved dog is to give them exercise. Point taken and demonstrated again and again. Essentially, the careful and caring staff at The Animal House Groom & Board has earned our trust when it comes to our animals. We've been going there daily for over 18 months and they have never let us down and more importantly, they have never let our dog down. That's a pretty solid record. Read Less
