The best vet around. Very clean inside, sick animals don't sit in the waiting room getting other pets sick you go right into a room. You don't have to sit and wait they come right in and then the doctor within 5 minutes. I dumped my vet of 22 years when they were too busy to see my sick animal. I called Crawford and they got me in right away. There staff, doctors, and techs are outstanding, wonderful, caring people. Never rushed. They really treat you like family and care about my animals like they're theirs. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would. It took me a long time to find a vet i trust, and I've been taking my dog to Dr. Hoyer for over 4 years now. Rajah(my pup) actually gets excited to walk in the door. Severely overpriced. Waited 20 minutes in room for doctor. Last year had same exact exam/shots at different vet and save over $150!!! Oh and that was with the $50 coupon! Was not worth the price for the service either. Will not be going back. Very upsetting.Update: prescription shampoo I bought for my dog there ($45)....found online at multiple places for $11...what an up charge! Lady at the front desk is so unbelievably rude. I get my dogs anal sacs done at this place bc it is a two minute walk from my home. The lady proceeds to yell at me for taking my dog to another vet for care and get his anal sacs done with them. I told her there have been numerous times when you have missed a bunch of things and I had to go to another vet. Unbelievably rude, 11/19/16. Would NOT recommend. Clean and friendly. My first visit went well enough. I'm always a bit leery when a vet (or doctor, or dentist..) seems focused on pushing shots and vaccines that are not deemed "necessary" - more so when their offices are littered with propaganda and supplies from the manufacturer of those commercial vaccines. Dr Hoyer is compassionate to both the animal and the human, is patient, and goes out of her way to help. Crawford has some great technology: therapeutic laser, ultrasound, digital radiography, and possibility for in house labs if needed. The doctors and staff are experienced yet current on recent research. If you need additional information or have in-depth questions they take the time to clearly communicate with you and will get any additional information you need. I went here on a recommendation.  My chocolate lab, Carley, had to have surgery to fix her from getting constant UTI's.  Dr. Baker did the surgery, and she hasn't had a UTI since!  Surgery line looks clean and he took good care of her.  He is great about answering our questions.  I brought her to Dr. Baker, because I was seeing another vet and didn't feel comfortable with that vet due to a lack of experience.  I'm glad we switched to Dr. Baker, because I know that my dog is in great hands! Crawford helped us out when I was unemployed. But they made a deadly error when prescribing a pain med, Deramaxx, for my German Shepherd. He had a torn ACL and the med killed him. If you Google the drug you will see dozens of sites showing the horrible side effects. If you Google some more, you will see hundreds of stories of dog owners who lost their animal to the same drug. Crawford insists the drug has no side effects that are deadly and refuse to admit their error of not giving me a heads up about this terrible drug. They accept no responsibility. Absolutely the best vet care you can find, Drs. Baker and Hoyer are excellent with both dogs and cats, we've been clients for many years and have always gotten excellent care for our cats.  The techs are attentive, and efficient, the entire staff is friendly and helpful.  I can't say the cats are thrilled to be stuck in the carriers, and transported but they relax as soon as we are settled in a room and they know they will be handled with care. My family and I, give our dogs only the best and Crawford Animal Hospital is the best! We have been taking our dogs there for years and have only received the best care. Before we went to Crawford another vet wanted to put our dog down. Needless to say we weren't happy with that decision so we decided to go for another opinion...we went to Crawford, best decision we made! Through the help of their great vets our dog was able to live another 8 years happy and healthy. Since then we have taken all our other dogs there and have highly recomended Crawford to our family and friends and they have also been very happy there. We think Dr. Hoyer is the best, as well as the other doctors and the techs are also top notch. They ALL care about your pets and treat them with kindness and diginity!! I wish I would have read the reviews first. They really do only care about the bill. They are not thinking about what is the best for the pet. I am very displeased with Crawford Animal Hospital. I have a small yorkie and he was making funny noises when he was really excited. I brought him to vet to have him check him out. I thought that it could be collapsed trachea and the vet asked me a couple of questions and then ordered x-rays and IV work and sent us home with pills that cost $3/each. ( I found them online from multiple websites for under 50 cents each. So why so much there?) I went home and did some research online and found out that it could just be reverse sneeze. RS is very common in little dogs and is not a threat to their health. To determine if it is reverse sneeze you palpate the throat. If no reaction when they make the honking sounds you plug their nose. If that stops it, you have reverse sneeze. No need for meds, IV work or expensive x-rays. I also found out that the meds he gave us could cause trauma to trachea. So the meds are actually damaging to little dogs. When I called the doctor about it he suggested that I breathe in his nose to help him stop the reverse sneezing. WHICH MEANS he was well aware of the possibility of reverse sneeze and instead of recommending I try the two methods to determine RS he charged me $320 on services I didn't need!!!! When I told our groomer and doggie daycare people they all agreed that I should never go there again. Crawford is all about racking up the bill not the pet!!!! My initial thought was that the person who left the review may have gotten emotional about a situation with their pet and Crawford Animal Hospital. However, my experience was very similar. ""Pirate Pricing"" as previously described should be amended to: ""Pirate Pricing and Practices"". Terrible service, and outrageous attempt at gouging. I was referred to Crawford by my aunt when my kitty was ill. I am so glad to have found this place. The clinic is clean, the staff is courteous and it's obvious that they honestly care about the animals entrusted to them. Unlike at other vet offices I never once felt pressured to spend money needlessly, and they were completely upfront about cost and billing. Dr. Hoyer was patient, answered all of my questions, addressed my concerns and took genuine interest in the well-being and care of Mister Kitty. The receptionists were uncaring ogres, Dr. Hoyer was cold and condescending during my visit. Lisa, the Vet Tech, is completely clueless. When quoted for services in advance I was given a price range. This vet clinic is by far the worst I have encountered. They wouldn't help with a squirrel who had broken both hips. They were too concerned with rabies and themselves than the suffering of an animal. They also would not treat an injured pitbul because the owner was a little short on money.
