The staff and everything about the business itself gets 5 stars, but there was one client that knocked down the rating to a 4. His young dog clearly had anxiety about the whole vet visit and was just running around on his long leash barking very loudly like crazy every 15 seconds. I've had dogs before so yes I understand that they bark, but there are simple things you can do to calm them down - even take them outside for a little bit.This was my first vet visit with my new kitten who was terrified the entire time. On top of that, his 8ish year old son was wandering around talking very loudly while trying to bother my terrified kitten. The father did nothing. I was grateful when they were called in, but then the boy asked if he could stay out in the lobby. His father said that he "didn't care" and didn't even give the poor attention starved kid a second look. The kid ended up bothering me and my poor kitten for about 10 minutes until I was called in myself. Patrons - I am not your babysitter. The staff are not your babysitters. No one else is responsible for your children other than you when you visit an establishment. Also, other people are in there trying to keep the stress of a vet visit to a minimum. If you have an animal who needs special care, and you do not know how to deal with it, YOU ARE IN A VETERINARY CLINIC. ASK. FOR. ASSISTANCE. I hope this guy reads this, because he has made me second guess going back. Staff - In the future, please step up and do something about poorly behaved clients. After my hamster tostada was misdiagnosed at lakeshore and due to that misdiagnosis lost her eye, Greenfield vet fit us in and got her the PROPER treatment!!! They preformed an eye removal surgery and did a wonderful job!!! I cannot thank them enough!!!! I would recommend them in a heart beat for all small animals!! They really know what they are doing and make sure they provide the best service possible!! That and they really give you your money's worth. I have only been taking my babies here for about a year. I don't even know where to begin, i could write a book, but i will keep it short. In the year i have been taking my fur babies there i have learned what a real vet clinic should be like. Every person here is so compassionate and sweet. We see dr work but if he's gone i really don't mind seeing dr Taylor or dr Sarah as they all are amazing. My pup nahla has pretty sever allergies and they have never make me feel bad when... i brought her in at the beginning, as other places have, because with allergy comes smell. I have had people make comments, refuse to touch her, and have had one person tell me she should be put down. Thanks to everyone with a huge thank you to dr work shes doing great, and loves going in. The vet we saw here was nice- the staff is really nice too. However, we received numerous post cards in the mail advising us to bring one of our dogs in for required shots. I called to confirm that the youngest did in fact require shots - and scheduled an appointment. I take the youngest in and check in... confirm again why we are visiting that day- go in and see the vet who informs me that the youngest in NOT due for shots. The youngest wasn't due for shots until AUGUST. This occurred in November... I told the vet that the only reason we came in was because the youngest was "due for shots"... they charged me $50 for bringing the dog in... which I think is ridiculous. I understand it isn't a large sum of money to most but it's the principle- their mistake, their incompetence, extremely disappointing. Read Less

A couple years back. My dog was hit by a car then walked home yelping. I took him here over the course of a month. The veterinarian that i dealt with "couldnt find" what was wrong when he had internal bleeding the entire time. I had to put him down after the 4th week because he was having too much internal bleeding that he started slipping in and out of life. Never coming back. Youd have to kill me to get me to go back. The disgraceful employees in this office are holding my dog's records and will not give them to me or my new vet. This makes it so I can't update his vaccinations and puts him in immediate danger. How could a vet office put an innocent animal's life (that they helped care for!) in jeopardy is beyond me. I am at a loss for how unprofessional, unethical, and uncaring this entire office is when it comes to anything - besides them making money off of your animal. I found this place online searching for a veterinary clinic for my German Shepherd puppy. I like the fact it was free checkup for first time patients. I met with Dr. Sarah she was amazing. She answered all my questions and was very thorough with the exam. All the staff are very friendly. Although, this clinic is about 30-35 minutes away from house I will continue to take my puppy because of the excellent customer service. I would highly recommend taking your pets here. Read Less

My baby Sincere was very sick, he had something like a boil on his upper thigh and it got huge and he bit it to burst it. Which turned into a huge hole. They cleaned and cut away the infection and gave him antibiotics and a cleaning solution. Did not stitch it up, left it open. It closed on it own in several weeks just like they said. He all better... i appreciate how everyone treated me and Sincere, I appreciate all the work they done on him, they saved his life. I was for over twenty years a loyal client of 27th and St. Paul. I believe due to greed and not caring on they part, I lost my baby to diabetes. Her passing crushed me, her twin brother Sincere health is very important to me. This is our new home. Read Less

Our dog needed surgery and due to unknown genetic issues with our dog, she required much more care than originally planned. Additional surgeries required our dog to stay over 2 weeks in the care of the staff at Greenfield Veterinary Clinic. The attention they gave not only to our dog, but to my husband and I too, was invaluable. I brought my cat in to see this vet when he became paralyzed last Christmas. He was 20 years old and I had had him the whole 20 years. I wanted to do everything I could for him. Dr Daniels was the sweetest person, recommended some things and took care of my baby. When it came time to put him to sleep Dr Daniels cried with me. Later I received a hand written note from her expressing her sympathy for our loss. I have since got a dog and have and will continue to bring my animals to her. The staff there is outstanding and as far as a comment above about them testing without telling prices...did you ever think about asking the price before approving the tests??? My fiancee comes from a home that has always had farm cats. I had taken a liking to one of the kittens, but noticed she was very ill, and that a lot of the other kittens had the same infection that she did. I called Greenfield to see if it was possible to give us antibotics for all of the kittens, and not just the one we brought in. When you have farm cats, it's a little too pricy to take 10 cats to the vet. They were very friendly and after seeing the one kitten, they gave us enough medicine for all of the kittens with the same symptoms. They even gave our little kitty some ear medicine and a rabies shot for free since it was our first time there. Now that my fiancee and I have our own little house kitten, we will definately go to Greenfield again for all the shots and check up's he needs. Talk about nickel and dime! We have two dogs and have brought both in for issues ranging from skin conditions to UTIs. While I feel the vets seem to do a good time explaining the root of the problem, the treatment is ridiculous! The vet will perform TONS of VERY expensive tests without giving us any warning of the price or alternatives! I have NEVER left without a bill over $250 PER DOG. My husband was so outraged that he called and tried to cancel a certain unnecessary $100 test (the vet himself said it could wait and was only needed 10% of the time). Then on the phone he was rude and said the test was needed 75% of the time. Well which is it? Finally my husband resorted to saying we couldn't afford it and even then they seemed begrudging about the refund. The desk staff is always great, but it's the hidden charges and mysteries of their pricing that are their downfall. We will be finding a new vet ASAP. We do NOT recommend them! Read Less

i took my cat here for the first time because he was sick. the staff at the front desk was very friendly, and the doctor was great! he explained everything in easy to understand terms, but without making me feel like a 2 year old. we were in the exam room within 5 minutes of our appointment, and finished in less than 30 minutes. in that time the doc was able to examine him, run tests, and figure out possible issues my kitty was having. rather than treat for something he doesn't have, the vet said we'd start with the basics and treat that. we'd go from there. that was music to my ears because i know some of the alternatives would be costly. since this was our first experience at a vet i don't have much to compare to, but i felt the prices were very reasonable...i expected the total cost to be well over what it was! we will be visiting this vet again to update all of my cat's shots. My 18 year old cat has been going to Greenfield Vet since she was a kitten. Doctors have changed, but I have never had a bad experience with their care or treatment of my cat. The one downside is that on Saturday's it is a bit of a zoo! ( pun intended). When I go during the week, I normally don't have much of a wait and there are only a few if any other animals in the waiting area. When my dog is getting surgery, I should have a vet who knows what medications my dog is already on, and a caring environment when things like that are so stressful. Very poor experience. Brought pet in with mouth pain and loss of weight on 4 separate occasions over a few months. Sent home every time saying pet was fine. We were so concerned about seeing pet in pain we took our pet to new vet and she was VERY sick and near death from horrible tooth infection. Ended up needing surgery and removal of tooth and part of her jaw. Greenfield Vet Clinic also gave this and other 2 pets we had visit there unnecessary and expensive shots (per our new vet's opinion). Would NEVER recommend this clinic to ANYONE! It took my pet 2 years and $1800 in additional medial expenses by me to recover from this issue. I did also notify them of this and you would think there would be ANY bit of apology. There was not. All they seemed to care about was getting money. They even kept sending me reminder cards for pet care after all of this. Like I would EVER bring any pet back to them.
