Been a customer for 12 years. Always friendly and great vets. They've helped our kitties through some rough times. Recently we were in for a yearly check up and one Kitty had a urinary incident in her carrier that got all over herself. They took her back for a dry shampoo and clean up. They go above and beyond. Dr. Stephanie is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!I had the Most Excellent Experience of being CHOSEN by a RESCUE DOG to become his "New Mom". My Sweet, Sweet Prince" was sooo wonderful and I'm extremely honored that he chose me for his Human Companion."Prince was a young 8 yr. old that was very skittish at first but became very lovable towards the end.Dr. Stephanie was my savior during "prince's" time of desperate need. She was so compassionate, caring and sympathetic to ALL of our needs {Prince's, my husbands and my own, as well}, their was NOTHING forgotten. Dr. Stephanie and her Staff were so helpful during Prince's last days that I actually felt like we were all one family. {that's NOT something you find very often in your average everyday Vet.} - Dr. Stephanie is NOT your "Average Everyday kind of Vet.", She has ALWAYS gone "Above and Beyond" with Everyone of my Pet Children. {By the Way, "Prince" was Euthanized due to him having an Aneurysm, and a Stroke at the same time which caused EXTREME pressure on his eyes, and he also became totally blind all at one time. It was Absolutely Horrifying to see him the way. I cried continuously for many weeks without him by my side.}So as you can see, I have nothing but praise for Hales Corners Veterinary Clinic; in fact, I think Dr. Stephanie is such a kind, caring and compassionate doctor - I'm willing to drive across town just to see her. I've had a very good experience with Hales Corners Veterinary Clinic. Service has been prompt and everyone has been friendly. I asked about a wellness plan and they were honest, telling me not to spend the money because my pet likely would not need the services offered by the plans. Dr. Vandever also walked me through my treatment options and did not offer anything that would add any unnecessary cost to my pet's treatment. Dr. Vandever followed up by phone a few days later when my pet had a cold. Again, he offered a reasonable solution that was not too pricey. They provide access to an electronic portal to make appointments and track your pets' health. I will  definitely be back! Read Less

Our dogs (an elder pug and a rescue English bulldog) are relatively new patients at Hales Corners Veterinary clinic, but I have to say how incredibly PLEASED we are with the care we received for our bulldog this past Saturday!  She was having worsening breathing issues overnight and when I called at 8am they said they were fully booked for the day, but could we come in at 9:00.  We did and we were seen very quickly as her breathing was even worse by then.  The vet who saw us, Dr Harper, was wonderful! She knew exactly what to look for -- and what not to look for (battery of expensive tests) -- diagnosed an allergic reaction causing tracheal swelling and quickly gave our girl a shot and some meds.  She also urged us to call her if we didn't see progress, even though they had a busy day and would only be there till 2pm. We took our Izzy home, followed the doctor's clear directions and Izzy responded well and is on her way to a full recovery!I also cannot say enough how friendly and helpful ALL the staff is there!  They follow up with phone calls to see how the "patients" are doing. We can be fairly difficult customers as we're used to seeing Bulldog specialist vets because of all the unique health challenges with this breed, but Dr Harper was fantastic and gained a new patient! Excellent experience on our first visit.  From the reception staff who took my appointment over the phone all the way to the tech and Dr. Harper.  The Dr. stayed with my family and answers all of our questions.  Pointed out some things we didn't think to ask.  And was especially gentle with our little guy. I wouldn't even give this place a star. I took my dog her for two years and I had two different vets tell me my dog had allergies. Why wouldn't I believe them? They were the professionals. My dog wasn't getting much better. I finally took them somewhere else. Within a few minutes, the vet diagnosed her with shar pei fever. Long story short, we got her on the correct meds and thought she was on the road to healing. She passed away shortly after. Had she been diagnosed with correctly, she would've had and chance. I couldn't believe that after I called and explained everything to the vets, they never once offered an apology. All I pleaded was if a dog came in with the same symptoms not to assume it was just allergies. Never got an Apology when my baby died. I believe that speaks volumes. Read Less

I decided to take my new puppy there due to recommendations from 2 friends. My puppy had a bad diarrhea problem that they told me would ""just go away"" on its own, however when it did not they resorted to experimenting with different drugs and expensive blood tests hoping it would take care of the problem. I was very patient with them and accepting of their instructions and eventually, the diarrhea got under control after several visits and much $$$ (but never completely gone). They actually accused me of over reacting to my dog having diarrhea that lasted for weeks! The doctor I dealt with had a do-not-care attitude and was only concerned with getting me out the door. With the exception of the receptionist America and one of the techs (can't remember her name) the staff is unfriendly and did not appear to want my business. I will not be going back and would not recommend anyone who cares about his/her pet there. Read Less

My fiance and myself brought our 3month Doberman Pincher to see Dr. P by referral because he did a good job with cropped ears, so we moved our new puppy and our 2 year old Min Pin. Dr. P was awesome, he did tell us he was retiring soon and selling his practice. Well this last June another Dr. purchased it and they moved the office to a new location. Anyway our Min Pin got her little leg broke by our Doberman, she was splinted for 5 weeks, got an infection in the leg and she was splinted incorrectly and now she has a crooked leg. I have referred friends to this vet and now I have told them to go elsewhere. This practice is definetly looking for money, I was in and out of that office it seems like every other week for her leg and charged everytime. There was one time I walked in to pick her up and they didn't even tell me what they did for her they just told me I owe $274! I was furious, so anyway $1,000 later, we have a crooked leg on a 8lb min pin. Read Less

I have been going to this vet for about 17 yrs. for my dogs and cats. I do not trust alot of vets, but this one I trust completely. I was just there in may with my new puppy and they gave my puppy a big welcome puppy box with a free bag of science diet, and a huge kong toy, and other free samples. They are very friendly, and professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Also DR. Dale has the most beautiful blue eyes! :) Read Less
