I took my dog in because she had a lump on her butt. Having a history of anal gland problems, I thought they might be related. I was waiting in an exam room when Andrea walks in and says "So your dog needs her anal glands expressed?" Wait minute, I say, I'm here because she has a lump on her butt and has a history of anal gland problems, but her anal glands might not need to be expressed. Well, you're going to have to wait then, she says, backing out of the room, because we have three ahead of you. Three ahead of me when I have the first appointment of the day? I have no problem waiting to have my dog looked at, especially when emergency dogs come in, but I still want to know what's going to happen with my dog before she is whisked away, and that she's going to get the same level of care as if there weren't three emergencies going on. And when I complain about that, I want some agreement and understanding. The fact that I don't get it tells me it's time to find a new vet. Read Less
