I took my Henry there for eight years. The staff was warm and welcoming. The vets were genuinely caring and responsive to my pet's needs. However, they are not a full-service animal hospital. They are not equipped to handle emergencies. They will refer you to U of MN or Oakdale Animal Hospital and ER. If you want a full-service vet, I would suggest exploring alternatives over the bridge. I found Croix Valley by accident after another local vet failed my dog miserably, then couldn't see him for another week to address what I had dropped him off for. Croix Valley was able to get him in next day as a new patient. They took excellent care of my Milo for 15+ years and will hopefully help me to have my Marley for another 15+ years. They are always willing to take my calls or call me back in a timely manner. I recommend them to everyone that asks and have never been disappointed. I am so impressed with everyone at Croix Valley Vet. They are compassionate and understanding. From the front desk to the Doctors, they all take the time to get to know the whole family and especially the beloved family pets. I have a 5 year old English Bullmastiff. I am new to the dog parenting, she is my step-pup of sorts. The vets are patient and really listen to my many questions and the ladies up front have no problem fitting us in for appointments. To top it off they are very reasonable with cost and never try to sell you some unnecessary treatment.Oh and they always call just to see how she is doing. My daughter recently took in her cat to be spayed and to be declawed. There were several different quotes and the night before she paid they told her how much it was going to be the day that she went in to pay they told her something completely different. They were not upfront about what was included in the price including the litter that she needed until after the fact. Plus they gave her a rabie shot after my daughter specifically told them know she had another place you ...was going to get her rabies shot her regular Veterinary Clinic. If she would have known how much the total was she probably would have went somewhere else only because she does not make a lot of money and they gave her cat services that she didn't agree to. Prices are much cheaper than the cities. Staff were really nice. Our cat was scared of the car ride and he peed all over the crate and himself. They cleaned him properly. They also offered to clean the crate but it was a cloth one and I decided to throw it away. Read Less

I have a vet half a mile from my house that I will never call again because twice now in the past month Croix Valley has admitted two different cats with out appointments because they were so sick and couldn't wait for an opening days later. I'm so glad we have finally found a good priced vet that truly cares about the little furry family members instead of leaving the office exactly at closing time, by not taking walk-ins. I live in the Twin Cities. I have 2 German Shepherds and 2 cats. I've had many pets over the years, and although it takes me 45 minutes to get to Croix Valley Vet, I would NEVER take any of my babies anywhere else!
