We have been taking our pets to Tillie Lake since they opened. Our dogs have always been treated like they were the most important customer of the day . We recently had to have one of our beloved dogs put down due to cancer. It was rapidly growing with no hope of recovery. We chose to do what was best for him before he was in pain or immobile. We've been coming here for at least 18 years and especially appreciate all the help Dr. Russ has given us with our numerous rescue cats (they rescued us). He and his staff are such caring people - you know they love all the animals they are treating. We've had kittens, born at home from strays that like our house and feel safe to cats who've been injured. Dr. Russ and staff are always ready to help. Our two oldest cats (one was 19 and the other 18) were recently put down last year after aging issues just couldn't be fixed any more. Very sad and the staff handled our precious Mustache & Murphy with such caring compassion and followup with us. We now have Oscar and Cali who are each four years old and have been to see Dr. Russ several times for shots and wellness care. Both cats love the staff and cooperate with them. The Drs. present all the options in a neutral manner so you can make an informed decision but offer their opinion when asked. We have been using Tillie Lake Vet and Dr. Russ for about 5 years and have always been happy with the treatment and care received. We recently had to put one of our pets to sleep and left knowing that we were doing the right thing and our beloved cat was well cared for. Well I've only started going here since summer. I brought my senior cat in to get bloodworm done. The called me this morning to tell me I'll have to bring g her back so they can get more blood. They don't have enough to run the tests. I've never had this happen at other clinics. Not real happy to have to drag her back. Had off work yesterday so I could do this. Damn! Read Less

The entire staff is extremely professional. They have cared for all of our pets since the day they opened. Including patience with our extremely temperamental cat, compassionate sedation of 3 beloved pets and follow up calls for our lame elderly dog. Very knowledgeable and compassionate vet,as are the staff.I and my family have been going here for 12 years even though we have 7 vets that are closer.I trust Dr. Russ 100%When it was time to euthanize my dog at 15 years of age,they made an awful time less painful.
