Our dog had kidney failure and our previous vet didn’t want to provide us details and what to expect. We decided to give this clinic a try and they are amazing. We were having issues finding a food for our dog that he liked. They gave us some food to try out from a bag that was open. It helped us tremendously and they were so compassionate and kind. They’ve fit us in for emergency visits several times for all of our dogs. When our dog passed, they were so compassionate about it and helped me feel better during such a difficult time. We had flea meds and heart guard for our dog that passed and they let us exchange it for some for our other dog. I cannot imagine going to any other veterinary clinic. My dogs are my kids and I trust this clinic fully with them. Read Less

I have been taking my pets to Blackhawk for almost 14 years. I've never had one bad experience. I have two senior cats and the doctors have both done an amazing job with them. We thank goodness we found this group every day! Docs, techs and staff that honestly care about your pets and understand you (a person without unlimited $$ resources AND a pet mom or dad)---what more do you need? This past year, I needed to send 2 dogs to Rainbow Bridge. They walked me through it, every step. Both the veterinarians here are amazing. They truly care about animals. It's not just about money. We had a cat that was nearing the end of his life, they spent 45 minutes talking about hospice care. They didn't charge us anymore than a regular visit.Read Less

Yogi and I love going to the vet now! I never realized what mediocre service I was getting at other clinics until I experienced how wonderful this clinic is! The staff is amazing. I was a believer and had no issues with this vet until having my puppy die after the incompetence of this clinic. I went to the vet so many times for issues pertaining to my puppy. Never was I told her heart was failing. I was told "she has a murmur". Nothing tremendous, just a murmur. Brought her in recently because she was starving herself and was breathing funny. "It's behavioural" they said. She died because her heart failed. Symptoms for her heart disease, anorexia, rapid breathing and irregular heart beat. Gee, sound familiar. Nothing could have saved her, but her passing could have been later in her short life. Her comfort could have been assisted with. Thanks for the memorable Father's day at the emergency vet. I will NEVER use you again. Malpractice. Not listening to the owners concerns. Hundreds of dollars wasted.Read Less

Very upset and disappointed with this vet. Had to wait 40 mins past appointment time for Dr Williams to see our dog. Once he finally got to us, he only looked at my dog's ear for a couple of minutes then said he has no idea what the red lump on his ear could be. He suggested I bring him back the next day so they could remove it. The estimated cost to remove was just shy of $800. I said that was way out of our budget. They said fine, but I still owed $65. When questioning why that cost was so high, I was told the doctor's time is very valuable. Really!!! That much to look at his ear quickly and say he has no clue! I would not have minded paying for an exam if I would have really gotten one or any information about the lump on his ear, but I clearly did not get either of them. I will never return to the vet. I love everyone there! I'm sad i moved they were sweet, kind, gentle, and unserstanding. No products were ever pushed when my German Shepherd wasn't gaining weight they never said I had to do test they advised but said I would recommend it but told me I could start off by switching food and offered what they had plus other cheaper alternatives. My dog was spayed there and she healed beautifully. I always recommend them to anyone. Read Less
