Love this vet clinic. They were great with my first dog and now I'm back after 4 dog-free years. They are still amazing and overly patient with my timid rescue dog. The vet care is awesome, but I think people should know what just happened to me. Just found out they sent me to collections over a bill charged on my account by someone else for their cat. I had called a year ago after I received the first erroneous bill. Today, a year later, I was told my cat would not be seen unless I paid the bill, and I would have to sort out the error myself with the collection agency. I was just treated like a liar by a place I have taken my cats to for 7 years, and have paid thousands to for that care. And I have to deal with collections. The worst part, to me, is being treated like a lowlife and not believed by the staff. All over $95. Some things are more important than money - like how you treat your customers when you make an error. Read Less

I've had a bad experience in Myrtle Beach at a vet clinic when my cats were due for their vaccinations, and now they freak out whenever they go into the vet. These ladies, however, treat the animals with respect - they understand that they must adapt to the animal and work with its fear rather than against it. Read Less

Dr. Barry did a great job of caring for my sick cat. He did a thorough exam, explained every condition with treatment option for me to understand, and even got on the floor with her. This was all done within about a 20 minute visit. Considering I had a bad experience elsewhere (45 minute wait for a 2 minute, $52.00 so-called exam), I plan on going to Dr. Barry if need be in the future. Also, the office visits are cheaper here than most places and the office location is convenient to me and my cats, both positives. Read Less

My 14 year old recently made the difficult decision to have her beloved pet rat put to sleep, the second time she has been faced with such a decision. Certain details of the procedure were very important to her. In addition to meeting her concerns, keeping the cost low was important to her father and I. Mt. Zion met all of our concerns and Dr. Berry was incredibly sensitive to our daughters grief. Too many people will consider a pet rat to be "just a rat", but our daughters emotional connection to her little friend was not minimized in any way. Thank you, Mt. Absolutely wonderful. We started going here after our previous vet got way too expensive. I've been very happy with everyone there; they have taken time to answer our questions and are very thorough. We've been so pleased with the quality of service at Mt. Zion Small Animal Clinic! Dr. Nelson has seen both of our guinea pigs and shows true compassion with both the animals and their human companions, getting us through the stress of illness. One of our guinea pigs was mildly ill, and we were not prescribed meds that he didn't need, but we were given sound and important advice. Dr. Nelson was also great at helping us realistically cope with the unfortunate, imminent death of one of our 'babies'. This is the best vet clinic I have ever taken my pets to. They are clean, professional and very good with animals. They never try to up sell me in needed services and always try to help me treat my dog with the most cost effective way available but the most effective way. They have always taken care of our dogs.
