After three different emergency services needed for my dog, I have learned that the vets at this place are not sensitive to my pets situation, are very cold and judgmental people, and seem like they just want my money as all the times visited there was something I could do at home for my puppy but, on the phone, they always make it seem like a more serious emergency than it is to only go there and say everything is ok and send us home.
One of the visits was when my new puppy ended up swollowing a cat toy. I brought him in to induce vomiting and get the toy out. They then proceeded to tell me everything physically wrong with my puppy (ex. one of his eyes, his nose, nails, etc.) and all the future problems/surgeries he would have to endure which, as a new puppy owner, got me very concerned and scared for his future, not to mention she said it in a very entitled and condescending manner that made me feel like an bad, uneducated owner. I then later took him to our primary vet and asked our vet about all the new worries this place had given me about my puppy in which our primary vet told me he was a very healthy dog and that all the things mentioned were indeed not a concern at all.
I try to avoid this place as much as possible unless there is no other option for my pup!

I called about a bite wound on my dog that needed antibiotics 2 HOURS before they closed and they told me not to come in because they wouldn't have time to treat him. How could someone in good conscious turn away an animal that needs help at an "ER" clinic 2 hours before closing?! Today I went in with my 15 year old cat preparing to put her down. The lady at the front desk was welcoming and very gentle when explaining what my options were with my cat. She took me into a private room and handed me a box of Kleenex as she answered all my questions. Marie O. was the vet tech that came in to take my cat to the backroom. She was kind, gentle, and understanding, After taking my cat back she returned minutes later to talk me through some other options. Marie was wonderful as she gathered more information and explained to me some further things we could do before I put my cat down. I was honest about my concerns with the financial cost of continuing to care for an aging cat. Marie was never judgmental and truly cared about helping my cat. Dr. Sibley was also amazing. She answered my questions and was amazing with my two young children that both missed their nap. I ended up leaving with a happy cat and the confidence to continue with meeting her medical needs. Marie O you are amazing and Kimba and I are lucky to have met you. Thank you for such an amazing experience! Kimba is back to her old self and I will never be able to thank you enough!

We have taken our older lab here multiple times and had great experiences. Clean facility, friendly people who keep you updated every step of the way. We have a new 3 month old puppy that was having an issue we weren't sure how to take care of. After speaking with our vet earlier, they are now closed, we decided to call the Emergency vet to make sure everything was still on track. After telling the lady (S) who answered the phone what the vet said and what was going on and she completely dismissed us and told us to call a different place and number because they wouldn't know how to help us or what to say. She didn't ask anyone else or even attempt to help. She gave us a different number to call, told us it'll cost us money, and that was that. I called the Madison vet clinic when we hung up just to see if they would be helpful and they answered all my questions, gave us advice, told us what to watch for, recommendations based on symptoms, everything. We will be going to the Madison location from now on if this is how Janesville is going to be.

The doctor was very arrogant and collectively argued after every statement. We left without any real answers, but they did manage to charge 250.00 for blood check, and fluids. The doctor didn't seem to know what to say...but I do....NEVER AGAIN. Everything they offered was quickly followed by the price...I learned more from Google than their staff.

I brought my puppy here last night. After she got sick. I told the lady on the phone i didn't have much money as we just bought our puppy that day. The lady calls me back tells me to bring her anyway and we would figure out payment. We get there and they take her back right away, after about an hour or so the vet comes in tells me she looks okay but they want to keep her over night. It would be $140 to do so. After talking with my husband we decided to take her home. After 4 hours they finally have her discharge ready cost was $82( which was no big deal) one of the vets come out to discuss her discharge i asked her about her heart rate and she tells me we didn't check because that cost more. So basically we sat there for 4 hours for our pup to sit in a cage and nothing was ever done. I could of stayed home and watched her if thats all they did. This place was a joke. I feel they don't care about anything but money.

This is my second time having to use VES. Having to take a family member to the hospital is a very rough, emotional time. The friendly, knowledgeable, caring staff at VES makes the process easier. Both times I've had to take my dog to VES, he had to stay overnight. The only thing that made it easier for me to leave him there was the staff. They really seem to care about the animals as if they are their own. Dr. Embriano and Dr. Dougherty went above and beyond my expectations with their knowledge and compassion. My dog has separation anxiety and usually wont eat or socialize with anyone other than his family, but he does both as VES. I am highly impressed with the staff and care provided by VES and will recommend them to everyone!

Thanks to the staff at VES for taking such good care of our dog, Marley. He was in to be diagnosed (Dr. Baan) with and have surgery (Dr. Singh) for an overactive parathyroid. All of the staff were so kind to us and to him, making him comfortable and easing my worried mind every step of the process. Because his procedure required a nearly 4 day hospital stay they were more than accommodating of our crazy schedule to let us visit and pick him up WAY outside of regular business hours late into the evening. I was so grateful that they made him comfortable despite his aversion to kennels and took such care to make sure that he was not anxious during his stay. You certainly don't want your beloved pet to be sick, but if they have to be, it is a great comfort to know that there is a wonderful facility with talented care provider to get them well.

Yesterday, my wife and I had to euthanize our 3 year old cat/"first child" after a blood clot occluded flow to both hind limbs. It was a devastating and completely unexpected blow. Nevertheless, we were comforted and impressed by the professionalism, kindness, and sincerity of the VES West staff - from the front desk receptionist to the veterinary technicians to our baby's physician, Dr. Romans. They made an unimaginably painful situation a little easier to bear. I would highly recommend taking your critically injured/ill animal here if the location is convenient.

The skilled and loving care that was extended to our dog, Reno , is deeply appreciated. He sustained a wound on his right flank, and was losing a dangerous amount of blood. The cause of the wound remains a mystery, but the care he received at Veterinary Emergency Service brought him back to us, and a successful prognosis followed. He is a senior dog, and healing takes a while, but he is bright eyed, and has a wagging tail, both indications of recovery. Words cannot express our gratitude to the professional staff that treated him so kindly and skillfully.

All they did was weigh and take the temp. my pet is not doing well. my vet is booked til next week and this place was my only option. I don't think they care to much about the well being of animals or being considerate to humans.

We recently took our dog to the Middleton location and had a great experience. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. We got back into a room within 5 minutes of checking in and saw the vet 10 minutes after getting into the room. Tristan was very straight forward and explained our options for treatment very clearly. The best part is we initially were worried about the cost of the emergency clinic but ended up spending a lot less then expected. I would definitely recommend this clinic. Thank you VES!

Amazing. Just amazing. Wonderful staff, over the phone and in person. My dog and I spent a couple hours here late last night/early this morning and it was such a relief not only that there is such a facility for those of us who have a hard time adapting our schedules to a vet with 9-5 hours, but also that the people working here don't seem at all pissed off that they're working nights and weekends. Most professional vets I've ever been to. Dog and I were both exhausted and we were treated with compassion! Not to mention that I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive than it was. They answered all my questions and my dog is getting back to his old self again, almost immediately after starting treatment. Thank you so much.

On the 4th of July my dog choked on a bone. We called VES when we were on out way there and they literally met us in the parking lot and we handed her off for them to start working on her immediately....
On the 4th of July my dog choked on a bone. We called VES when we were on out way there and they literally met us in the parking lot and we handed her off for them to start working on her immediately. They removed the bone safely and my dog is completely back to normal. I owe them my dogs life. Completely recommend them! Amazing staff, clean facility, everyone went above and behind for my little pup. Thanks!

How could someone in good conscious turn away an animal that needs help at an "ER" clinic 2 hours before closing?! Very nice staff. Works awesomely with autistic children in calming them down when their service dog is in need of help. Very clean place. Prices not bad either. I would suggest this vet to everyone.

They also have a pet cremation service that takes care of everything for you as well. I highly suggest this company when you're going through something so difficult. Thank you for everything.

Today I went in with my 15 year old cat preparing to put her down. The lady at the front desk was welcoming and very gentle when explaining what my options were with my cat. She took me into a private room and handed me a box of Kleenex as she answered all my questions. Marie O. was the vet tech that came in to take my cat to the backroom. She was kind, gentle, and understanding, After taking my cat back she returned minutes later to talk me through some other options. Marie was wonderful as she gathered more information and explained to me some further things we could do before I put my cat down. I was honest about my concerns with the financial cost of continuing to care for an aging cat. Marie was never judgmental and truly cared about helping my cat. Dr. Sibley was also amazing. She answered my questions and was amazing with my two young children that both missed their nap. I ended up leaving with a happy cat and the confidence to continue with meeting her medical needs. Marie O you are amazing and Kimba and I are lucky to have met you. Thank you for such an amazing experience! Kimba is back to her old self and I will never be able to thank you enough!

We have taken our older lab here multiple times and had great experiences. Clean facility, friendly people who keep you updated every step of the way. We have a new 3 month old puppy that was having an issue we weren't sure how to take care of. After speaking with our vet earlier, they are now closed, we decided to call the Emergency vet to make sure everything was still on track. After telling the lady (S) who answered the phone what the vet said and what was going on and she completely dismissed us and told us to call a different place and number because they wouldn't know how to help us or what to say. She didn't ask anyone else or even attempt to help. She gave us a different number to call, told us it'll cost us money, and that was that. I called the Madison vet clinic when we hung up just to see if they would be helpful and they answered all my questions, gave us advice, told us what to watch for, recommendations based on symptoms, everything. We will be going to the Madison location from now on if this is how Janesville is going to be.

The doctor was very arrogant and collectively argued after every statement. We left without any real answers, but they did manage to charge 250.00 for blood check, and fluids. The doctor didn't seem to know what to say...but I do....NEVER AGAIN. Everything they offered was quickly followed by the price...I learned more from Google than their staff.

They helped us figure out why our pup was sick and how to treat him. They even corresponded with our normal vet to keep them up to date! They also called to check on our boy a few days later! I brought my puppy here last night. After she got sick. I told the lady on the phone i didn't have much money as we just bought our puppy that day. The lady calls me back tells me to bring her anyway and we would figure out payment. We get there and they take her back right away, after about an hour or so the vet comes in tells me she looks okay but they want to keep her over night. It would be $140 to do so. After talking with my husband we decided to take her home. After 4 hours they finally have her discharge ready cost was $82( which was no big deal) one of the vets come out to discuss her discharge i asked her about her heart rate and she tells me we didn't check because that cost more. So basically we sat there for 4 hours for our pup to sit in a cage and nothing was ever done. I could of stayed home and watched her if thats all they did. This place was a joke. I feel they don't care about anything but money.

This is my second time having to use VES. Having to take a family member to the hospital is a very rough, emotional time. The friendly, knowledgeable, caring staff at VES makes the process easier. Both times I've had to take my dog to VES, he had to stay overnight. The only thing that made it easier for me to leave him there was the staff. They really seem to care about the animals as if they are their own. Dr. Embriano and Dr. Dougherty went above and beyond my expectations with their knowledge and compassion. My dog has separation anxiety and usually wont eat or socialize with anyone other than his family, but he does both as VES. I am highly impressed with the staff and care provided by VES and will recommend them to everyone!

Thanks to the staff at VES for taking such good care of our dog, Marley. He was in to be diagnosed (Dr. Baan) with and have surgery (Dr. Singh) for an overactive parathyroid. All of the staff were so kind to us and to him, making him comfortable and easing my worried mind every step of the process. Because his procedure required a nearly 4 day hospital stay they were more than accommodating of our crazy schedule to let us visit and pick him up WAY outside of regular business hours late into the evening. I was so grateful that they made him comfortable despite his aversion to kennels and took such care to make sure that he was not anxious during his stay. You certainly don't want your beloved pet to be sick, but if they have to be, it is a great comfort to know that there is a wonderful facility with talented care provider to get them well.

Yesterday, my wife and I had to euthanize our 3 year old cat/"first child" after a blood clot occluded flow to both hind limbs. It was a devastating and completely unexpected blow. Nevertheless, we were comforted and impressed by the professionalism, kindness, and sincerity of the VES West staff - from the front desk receptionist to the veterinary technicians to our baby's physician, Dr. Romans. They made an unimaginably painful situation a little easier to bear. I would highly recommend taking your critically injured/ill animal here if the location is convenient.

The skilled and loving care that was extended to our dog, Reno , is deeply appreciated. He sustained a wound on his right flank, and was losing a dangerous amount of blood. The cause of the wound remains a mystery, but the care he received at Veterinary Emergency Service brought him back to us, and a successful prognosis followed. He is a senior dog, and healing takes a while, but he is bright eyed, and has a wagging tail, both indications of recovery. Words cannot express our gratitude to the professional staff that treated him so kindly and skillfully.

All they did was weigh and take the temp. my pet is not doing well. my vet is booked til next week and this place was my only option. I don't think they care to much about the well being of animals or being considerate to humans.

We recently took our dog to the Middleton location and had a great experience. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. We got back into a room within 5 minutes of checking in and saw the vet 10 minutes after getting into the room. Tristan was very straight forward and explained our options for treatment very clearly. The best part is we initially were worried about the cost of the emergency clinic but ended up spending a lot less then expected. I would definitely recommend this clinic. Thank you VES!

Amazing. Just amazing. Wonderful staff, over the phone and in person. My dog and I spent a couple hours here late last night/early this morning and it was such a relief not only that there is such a facility for those of us who have a hard time adapting our schedules to a vet with 9-5 hours, but also that the people working here don't seem at all pissed off that they're working nights and weekends. Most professional vets I've ever been to. Dog and I were both exhausted and we were treated with compassion! Not to mention that I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive than it was. They answered all my questions and my dog is getting back to his old self again, almost immediately after starting treatment. Thank you so much.

On the 4th of July my dog choked on a bone. We called VES when we were on out way there and they literally met us in the parking lot and we handed her off for them to start working on her immediately....
On the 4th of July my dog choked on a bone. We called VES when we were on out way there and they literally met us in the parking lot and we handed her off for them to start working on her immediately. They removed the bone safely and my dog is completely back to normal. I owe them my dogs life. Completely recommend them! Amazing staff, clean facility, everyone went above and behind for my little pup. Thanks!
