Countryside is a very cheap alternative but like they say, you get what you pay for. I scheduled an appointment because my bernese mountain dog was limping. I specifically said I wanted her leg x-rayed. Upon arrival I was informed an x-ray could not be done because they did not have adequate staff to perform the x-ray. The vet then tried to just prescribe Gabapentin. I refused and after going elsewhere found my dog had a torn ACL. Recently one of my cats had blood in her urine. I dropped off two samples and paid for the urinalysis. Receptionist and I agreed they would call me with the results to determine which cat I should bring in to the appointment scheduled for the next week. Upon completion of the results they refused to give them to me. They demanded I bring in both animals and would give me the results then. They perform bare minimum evaluations and try to pad the bills whenever possible. Possibly due to the low costs? The staff is unprofessional, incompetent and rude. Take my advise, pay more, go elsewhere.

Been going here since we moved to town in 2012. They have been exceptional and very caring. We recently had to put our dog down and they seemed as hurt as we were. Before making our decision they calmly went over the options for our dog. A week after we put our dog down, the vet sent us a wonderful note about our dog and making sure we were doing fine.

These people are great, I love bringing all of my animals here - I have cats and a dog. From times where my animals are not feeling well, to regular old check ups and vaccinations, the rates are very reasonable and affordable. The staff is very caring and the type of people you want looking after your beloved pets.
They made a mistake once, something I could have easily freaked out about, but they handled it so well that I had no concerns. And everything turned out well in the end. In the past I went to truesdale, and they actually had a similar type of mistake so it can happen anywhere. At least here I know the staff cares and doesn't charge me double for the same level of care.
Dr. Taylor in particular was wonderful when I had to go through the horrible experience of putting my 18 year old cat down. He was obviously old and had a great life but it was still an incredibly hard day. Dr. Taylor was understanding, patient and related to how awful the whole thing was for me.

It worries me that every time I go to this clinic, (past 5 years), someone different is up front. I would like to find a clinic that can keep their staff! When my pet got sick, I took him somewhere else. I need to be able to talk with people that know my pet! I have recently switched to another Madison clinic, though it costs a little more for annual visits, I know their care is consistent, and they know who we are. Why can' they keep employees? There has to be something going on there. I guess you get what you pay for.

I took my kitty there when he had pink eye and i had called the UW vet and they said that he may have some eye infection that could spread to his body and do permanent damage and scared the crap out of me and then I called the Country side animal clinic and they said it was probably pink eye but wanted to check, they got me in first thing in the morning and it was only pink eye!

I cannot say enough great things about this animal clinic. They are very caring as well as accommodating with your animal's needs. I have been going there for three years now and am very pleased and impressed with their service. On top of all this, their prices are extremely reasonable-the most reasonable that I have ever seen in all my years going to a vet.

I've been taking my dogs to Countryside for years. The vets and staff are among the most caring and kind around. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Countryside is a very cheap alternative but like they say, you get what you pay for. I scheduled an appointment because my bernese mountain dog was limping. I specifically said I wanted her leg x-rayed. Upon arrival I was informed an x-ray could not be done because they did not have adequate staff to perform the x-ray. Been going here since we moved to town in 2012. They have been exceptional and very caring. We recently had to put our dog down and they seemed as hurt as we were. Before making our decision they calmly went over the options for our dog. A week after we put our dog down, the vet sent us a wonderful note about our dog and making sure we were doing fine.

These people are great, I love bringing all of my animals here - I have cats and a dog. From times where my animals are not feeling well, to regular old check ups and vaccinations, the rates are very reasonable and affordable. The staff is very caring and the type of people you want looking after your beloved pets.
They made a mistake once, something I could have easily freaked out about, but they handled it so well that I had no concerns. And everything turned out well in the end. In the past I went to truesdale, and they actually had a similar type of mistake so it can happen anywhere. When my pet got sick, I took him somewhere else. I need to be able to talk with people that know my pet! I took my kitty there when he had pink eye and i had called the UW vet and they said that he may have some eye infection that could spread to his body and do permanent damage and scared the crap out of me and then I called the Country side animal clinic and they said it was probably pink eye but wanted to check, they got me in first thing in the morning and it was only pink eye!

I have been going there for three years now and am very pleased and impressed with their service. On top of all this, their prices are extremely reasonable-the most reasonable that I have ever seen in all my years going to a vet.

I've been taking my dogs to Countryside for years. The vets and staff are among the most caring and kind around. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
