I was a client for 10 years and thought it was a good place. Until I was pre-charged for things they offered but I never had done. When I got a call from a collection agency I stated I wouldn't pay for stuff I never had done. The collection company stated they'd call and let them know I contest the changes. Never heard back from either of them. Thought it was taken care of. I called to make an appointment and they said I have to pay for the services that i never had done and the person that could fix it is on vacation. I said that was fine and we'd deal with it when she got back. So they made an appointment for my old sick dog (which they've seen his entire life). They called later to say I'd actually have to pay for the services I never had done and cancelled my appointment. I seem to be the only one trying to resolve this and after a long good relationship they turned it bad. I can only guess they have new management or stop caring. I've made an effort, They should've as well. Not how you do business and I'll never go back and I quit trying to resolve an issue they seem to ignore or dropping the ball on.

Hard enough to find a vet clinic that treats rabbits; harder yet to find a vet clinic that treats rabbits as pets instead of livestock. Finally found one that does an amazing job! Dr. Mike performed the most thorough exam on a rabbit that we've seen. This is the difference between other clinics being "able" to treat rabbits and this one *actually* treating rabbits!
A 5 star rating only says so much, but this 5 star rating includes almost a 2 hour drive. Absolutely worth it!
Also, I saw someone else said something about them being pricey. They might be a little above average, but for the care and effort they put in, they're right on par with their pricing. You can go somewhere else and pay for a vet visit and see the vet for 5 minutes or you can go here and have the vet interact with your pet and perform a full exam, almost exactly like human checkup (everything shy of taking the rabbit's blood pressure).

Dr. Mike and the entire staff are awesome! We moved to McFarland and didn't want to fight Beltline traffic back to the Westside for veterinary care, so we brought our little Violet to Spartan Animal Hospital. Best.Choice.Ever. From the very first visit we felt the genuine care this team has for their furry, feathered and scaley patients! I've never felt rushed at a visit and there is always time for questions and concerns. When our cat had a serious health issue; Dr. Mike and his team showed real concern and thoroughly explained treatment. And, I'm happy to report our little kitty is now healthy and sassy again thanks to Spartan Animal Hospital.

Dr. Mike is an amazingly kind and knowledgeable Veterinarian. I can tell he genuinely cares about my dog, but I also recognize that he has a tremendous ability to comfort me as well when I have a concern about my dog's health - a rare combination. I would recommend him in a heart beat.

I was so impressed with everyone at Spartan Animal Hospital! Friendly welcome into the clinic and the first thing everyone did when they walked into the exam room was introduce themselves and shake my hand. For me, that is huge! They understood that my parrot would be stressed and waited to do everything with him at the same time to help keep him calm. Dr, Mike was fantastic, as were the CVTs helping to do the toughest part - holding Oscar without him biting them! Dr. Mike took his time with him, was gentle and very knowledgeable. I actually enjoyed my visit! We will be back for more nail buffs and wing trims! Thanks for making his visit a good experience for us both.

I only had one occasion, recently, to take my 35 year-old BFF, Groucho, a Congo African Grey, to see Dr. Mike. I was totally impressed with the knowledgeable service, care, and kindness we received, despite the prognosis that Groucho received. The prognosis was not good, heart arrhythmia, and Groucho died of a heart attack just a few days later. It was sudden, which is better than a long drawn-out illness, and I appreciate the time Dr. Mike and his assistant, Amber, gave us. To receive a sympathy card was the final good touch. For someone who has had companion parrots for over 35 years, I would highly recommend Spartan Animal Hospital to anyone who cares about their winged or four-legged friends.

Dr. Mike is the best. Very knowledgeable when it comes to reptiles and he has a love for them as well. He recently helped me out a lot with a huge snake mite infestation that broke out among my collection and he did everything in his power to make it as inexpensive as possible for me which is beyond amazing for how much this could have been in the long run. Being a first time dog owner who treats their dog better than a human child, Spartan goes above and beyond to make sure my dog Cookie, as well as myself, are well taken care of! We tend to visit Dr Mike every 2-3 weeks with a new "issue". We had a fractured growth plate at 4 mo old, and when you see your little baby fall over and unable to walk, panic is an understatement. Dr Mike and our favorite VT Tammi, took their time and were very efficient in figuring out the issue. Cookie got a pretty cast and recovered nicely!I have been to numerous vets when I travel to New York, and none come close to Spartan. They make every appt very personable and make sure the pet is as comfortable as possible before doing anything. They make sure you leave every visit with all questions answered, and all worries treated. I have to mention their invoices. They are so detailed and the "Reminders" section at the bottom is awesome for letting you know when you need to make appts for shots!PS if you have an exotic animal or reptile, they are so knowledgable on treating all different animals! I have seen a kangaroo, ant eater, and alligator.

I've been taking my adorable old english sheepdog here since I got him as a puppy over 6 yrs ago. The staff has always been great about getting me in for appointments even with short notice. The new clinic is very nice, always clean, and set up well. They willingly give you all the treatment options available and corresponding pricings, which always seem reasonable. My guy has had some issues over the years (hematoma on his ear that needed to be surgically drained) and the staff treated him super well and helped him recover quickly. I no longer live in McFarland, but I still drive out there to keep going to this clinic.

We moved to McFarland and didn't want to fight Beltline traffic back to the Westside for veterinary care, so we brought our little Violet to Spartan Animal Hospital. Best.Choice.Ever. Friendly welcome into the clinic and the first thing everyone did when they walked into the exam room was introduce themselves and shake my hand. For me, that is huge! They understood that my parrot would be stressed and waited to do everything with him at the same time to help keep him calm. I've been taking my adorable old english sheepdog here since I got him as a puppy over 6 yrs ago. The staff has always been great about getting me in for appointments even with short notice. The new clinic is very nice, always clean, and set up well. They willingly give you all the treatment options available and corresponding pricings, which always seem reasonable. My guy has had some issues over the years (hematoma on his ear that needed to be surgically drained) and the staff treated him super well and helped him recover quickly. I no longer live in McFarland, but I still drive out there to keep going to this clinic.
