First visit: Friendly, professional, and caring service. Although the price may be a bit higher than other vets, I will continue to go here because they do a good job. 4 star rating. Edit: Second Visit: I was supposed to meet the vet at 8am. At 8:15 a technician comes in to tell me the vet is late. The technician shows me the treatment and price plan that quotes just under $650. I sign the plan and leave my cat with the tech. I then get a call several hours later to tell me that my cat needs 3 more teeth pulled. When I picked up my cat the bill was over $1000. According to the pricing sheet each additional tooth was $75. How does the price go from $650 to over $1000 with that math? I thought $650 was too much when I have paid $300-$400 for similar services in the recent past at other clinics, but $1000 seems obscene to me. It is one thing to make a profit and run a good business, it is another to be greedy. This clinic seems greedy to me. I will not be returning. 2 star rating. It is worth noting that my cat is doing very well.Read Less

I contacted East Towne Vet Clinic to reserve boarding for my two dogs. I asked them questions about their facility and what they needed from me to be able to board my dogs. The person I spoke to was rude in her response. She did not offer much information when I would asked follow up questions. She did not seem at all interested in making sure my questions were being answered. She was more interested in getting me off the phone. Regretfully, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and decided to still try this facility. When I dropped off by dogs, I was then told that there was an outbreak of Tracheobronchitis/Kennel Cough. What am I suppose to do with this information now? No one thought to notify me of this outbreak, until I got there. What am suppose to do now?. My husband and I had to catch a flight that afternoon, and obviously did not have time to find alternative boarding. So I felt I had not choice but leave my dogs in their care. The person at the front desk then proceeded to tell me that there will be an additional $40 associated with my boarding if my dogs become incontinent. What? That is so wrong on so many levels. No where in my initial conversation with this person did she indicate this fee? When I returned to the facility to pick up my dogs, they do not open up until 8am. Hello? The majority of people work at 8am, so picking their dogs at 8am is terribly inconvenient. After a couple of days from picking up my dogs, they started hacking/coughing. It was really hard to witness this. Based on these experiences, I would not recommend this facility.Read Less

Like the other Google reviewer who gave one star, I got my puppy from the humane society and consequently had a puppy who wouldn't eat, had no energy and had a bad case of diarrhea (the former two a result of the third). However, unlike the other reviewer, the experience I had was beyond what I was expecting. Upon coming in for the first time, the staff was excited to meet my puppy (they even had his name on a welcome white-board), was completely understanding and didn't show any sign of distress when he had an accident on their floor and clearly explained what was going to be done, what the costs were and also gave the option of deferring some tests based on how my dog was feeling in the next 24 hours to avoid a costly specialized test. The doctors were fantastic with him and explained to me everything I would need to be aware of for the next few months regarding behavior, diet, vaccinations, etc all while teaching me some tricks to curb some aggressive play behaviors he was demonstrating. I should mention that because he wouldn't eat or drink I took him in two more days that week for supplemental fluids and to try out different foods to calm his stomach. After each though, I would get a call from East Towne at the end of the day checking up on him so they could relay the information to the doctors (note that there was no cost for this). After those days he was in much better shape and back to being a puppy. Upon telling that to East Towne on their daily check-up call, a day later I received a card in the mail addressed to my puppy saying how happy they were that he was feeling better. Overall, I think East Towne did a fantastic job and will be taking my pup there for a long time to come. Read Less

Been here several times, not any more...I have had issues with both boarding my dogs and their constant need to do as many tests and exams as possible. Then they try and tug at your heart strings as a pet owner to make you feel bad about not wanting to do them. My dogs were recently boarded for less than 48 hours and I was told that I had to arrive before 10.30 in the morning otherwise I would be charged for three whole days even though they would still have been there less than 48 hours...My wife previously had issue with her cat and all they wanted to do was for her to bring her other cats in for 'testing' ?? I recently brought my brand new puppy to your facility for a check up which I had been referred to by the Humane Society. I was told when I made the appointment to bring a feces sample which would be tested for parasites. During the appointment the vet had said that she was giving me free samples of different products. At the end of the appointment she had told me that I would get a phonecall by Saturday if anything came back from the feces. When I was being checked out I figured there would be no charge between the free samples I was getting and the voucher for a free checkup from the Humane Society. When I was told the charge for the appointment was $56.00 I was a little frustrated, but I just let it go because I had been happy with the way my puppy was treated. Saturday had come and there was no phonecall, by the end of the day Saturday my puppy had already had a few instances of diahrrea, so like any new puppy parent I was a little worried that he had eaten something or was just sick. By Sunday he wasnt eating as much and was as playful so of course I became even more worried and I started to research online, which gave me a whole list of somewhat scary possibilities of what could be wrong. In the back of my mind I figured it was nothing because I had not recieved a phonecall regarding any positive results. During the night and the next morning my puppy had full blown diahhrea, he barely ate any of his breakfast. I decided to call the vet who told me he had a parasite. It wouldve been extremely nice if somebody wouldve called me Saturday with the results so he couldve been put on an antibiotic and have it in his system already for 2.5 days. Instead I spent the entire weekend worrying something was extremely wrong with him. I have never been so frustrated with a buisiness before. I promise you I will never be back and will not ever refer a family or friend to your Vets office! Read Less

I can't say enough about a wonderful experience I had at East Towne. I adopted my dog through a shelter organization, and received a free check-up there for Ernie, and it was truly a great gift. Every single staff member was "out-of-their-way" friendly to both of us. Dr. Kelly, Ernie's vet, actually sat on the floor with him, getting to know him, before starting the check up. She was VERY patient with all of my paranoid first mom questions, and I felt relieved and confident leaving the clinic. Within 24 hours I received an invoice in the mail, a phone call verifying that his tests came through clear, and within 48 hours, a hand-written card from the vet and staff welcoming me to their clinic. I HIGHLY recommend East Towne to anyone looking for the best care for their pet. Read Less

Read Less

I called for an appointment for my bird to have a physical and blood work. I even received a phone call the day before my appointment reminding me of our physical appointment including bloodwork. The day of my appointment I receive a phone call stating they don't do bird blood work. How can you be listed as an avian vet if you don't do avian blood work? How can the receptionists not know what the vets do or don't do? Read Less

During the 30+ years that East Towne has been serving our community, their staff has treated 16 of the dogs I've adopted and a few foster dogs, too. Dr. Tunder is the most knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate veterinarian I could ever imagine. He is always aware of the latest protocols and treatment options and clearly and completely explains all procedures. He's always willing to answer any questions or concerns. The rest of the staff is incomparable as well. Every time I put one of my precious dogs into their hands, I am confident that they will provide the most professional and loving care possible. East Towne is a wonderful facility for anyone who wants the very best care for his or her pets.

Read Less

What a great place. Lots of natural light, very welcoming and warm. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have grooming and boarding services. I was a new client and left feeling like part of the family. East Towne came highly recommended by many of my neighbors and dog park friends. I would not take my pets anywhere else. I have moved around a lot and have been a pet owner for 20 years and have not found such a great place before...glad I found them. Read Less
