Was not thrilled with our experience. In all fairness out initial visit was free because we adopted our dog from the local humane society. We had to pay for a couple vaccinations which was expected but the visit was rushed and no prices were discussed until after treatment was given. I was told that he needed month tick and heartworm prevention medications. As a new pet owner I was unsure and just bought what I was told he needed. I didn't realize that the medications required prescriptions. I decided to shop around because it was a new monthly expense, which to me seems like a reasonable thing to do. I researched prices online and at Costco and found prices that were 30-50% less. I contacted the clinic and requested a script be sent to Costco and was informed that a $10 fee is charged per script. I understand this tactic is legal but felt unnecessary to me. I called around to three other clinics in the area and inquired about charges for sending prescriptions and all three told me they do not do so. I went into the clinic and explained that in my research it does not seem like charging for a prescription is common practice and asked if the fee could be waived. I was told that it was not possible. I had to miss a follow up appointment for a booster lyme vaccination due to a schedule conflict. I ended up going to a vaccine clinic at petco because it worked with our schedule and I didn't want to wait too long and have to start the series over. I brought all of the medical history and vaccination information we had from the humane society and the veterinary clinic and the vet at costco explained that our puppy was actually due for a third DHPP. This seems like it was missed by the West Allis vet as it was never discussed or scheduled (again as a new pet owner I would have never known.) When I went in to West Allis Vet Clinic to tell them about it they informed me that the person that checked us in for the initial appointment wrote down the vaccination information incorrectly and he is actually due for another vaccination. When I asked why this wasn't caught when I presented all of the paperwork at the initial appointment and they just said they would find out who checked us in and talk to them. Prior to leaving I purchased a flea and tick medication that was recommended by one of the office staff at the clinic. They helped me weigh my dog and had all of his information and sold me what I believed to be the proper medication. When I got home I went to give my puppy the medication and read that it was for dogs 6 months and older. My puppy is 5 months. I called the clinic back to see if it was safe to give him the medication and they spoke to the vet and told me I should wait a month. I expressed my disappointment with the services and told them I would be looking for a new vet in the future. I was told that our account will be deactivated. Absolutely no attempt to resolve the situation. I will be sure to research providers in the future instead of going to the one that is closest.

The doctors and the staff are truly outstanding. They always have a smile when you walk through the door and greet you. We have a French Bulldog puppy, last month it was time to get him neutered & I searched for a Vet closer to where I live after using a Vet in Cedarburg for years. I was thrilled with the care Bentley received, very reasonable in cost and awesome Dr. and Staff. That leads me to today- my daughter dropped a makeup sponge on the floor - being a puppy and a frenchie, he inhaled the egg sized sponge in about two seconds flat.... In a panic I call the West Allis Veterinary Clinic expecting for him to have to have this surgically removed. They calmly told me measures to take to induce vomiting and shortly there after he did just that. They saved me a very costly surgery and more importantly- him from a traumatic experience. I cant thank you enough West Allis Veternay clinic for your Help and Kindness today ~ . You have earned a client for life and I will be telling everyone I know how wonderful you are!

We were very pleased initially with our first appointment their with our pet. Price is a factor for us and they met our need for our first pet visit. After that is where I felt it changed. In their defense, we do have a dog that we adopted came with some illnesses we needed to take care of. We typically spent $300 give or take each visit. Our dog had a UTI and needed meds amongst other issues. They wanted us to come back to follow up on that along with another issue our pet had. I had taken a urine sample at home and had basic UTI test strips. The vet asked about keystones which my test did not provide. I stated ours showed our pet did not have a UTI. I brought the box of the strips I used and said our pet does not have a UTI. They looked over the information and was okay. Anyways, they took our dog back to perform a different test. When the vet came back he explained they decided to check her urine and it was negative. He already new that. Now, my dog was cathed and a urinalysis done which caused her irritation for a couple days. I WAS charged and did not speak up. I take responsibility for that, but took note and felt taken advantage of.
We did decide to change vets after the incidence I will explain. Our pet had two previous UTIs in several months time. We called the morning our pet wet in the house and seen dark blood tinged urine. We could not make it mid-day and they did not have appt in the morning. (I don't expect to get seen the second I call). However, I did request since we could not get in until 4 and were available this morning would they prescribe her an antibiotic to get her started and we would come back at 4. Our pet was distressed and anyone that has ever had a UTI knows the pain and uncomfortableness they cause. Our pet had the history of UTIs so they asked. The vet stated he would not and wanted to see her. They had an appt at 4 we could make. I felt they made our dog suffer. We went to another vet in West Allis and were very pleased with the service and cost. Our dog does have a UTI and was started on medications that morning. Making our dog suffer when I offered to come back, is the reason we chose to leave this vet.
I rated them a two as they do follow proper procedures (other than the consent to treat for the urine sample). They will want to repeat tests to be sure everything illness is gone which will cost you, but they are thorough. In addition, the staff is very friendly.

I have a mini dachshund. She is my world. She is so loving and wonderful in every way. Unfortunately, this breed inherently has major dental problems. She has had to have her teeth surgically cleaned with several teeth extractions four times. I just moved to WI last year. A family member recommended this veterinary office. I have had her teeth done here now twice. Both times she has recovered quickly. That has not happened in the past at other vets. Before I had to worry and nurse her for 2 days afterward. Dr Dan was very professional, knowledgeable and taught me several things I didn't not know about caring dogs in this state i.e. heart worm and lyme's prevention. The staff was so sweet and helpful. I feel blessed to be a client.

They put my 7lb female cat's weight on my 16lb male dog's chart and vice-versa. They asked me if I knew my dog had hip problems, I said "yes", they never mentioned it again or offered any advice about it. Most of the employees were rude and acted superior... unless you were a regular client, then they greeted you like royalty.

Absolutely a great place to take your pet. I always feel welcomed and everyone is professional. Dr. Dan and the staff are amazing, friendly, and actually care about their patients. I couldn't be more thankful for how Dr. Dan handled our cat's passing. He came to our home to euthanize her. He and the nurse were very gentle and respectful when removing her from our home. I took my older dog Chico to this clinic. When he became much older and his hind legs began to give out, I called the staff at the clinic to inquire about euthanasia. The staff were all very kind and understanding. Dr. Banceau even came to euthanize my dog at home so that he would be as comfortable as possible. We still use this vet to care for our new pup and they were very helpful with diagnosing all of his food allergies.

My husband and I brought our cats to the West Allis Vet Clinic the 4+ years that we lived in Milwaukee. From making appointments to picking up prescription food to ordering lab work, everyone at the clinic is friendly, helpful, and professional. It gave me a peace of mind to bring my cats to such a great clinic, especially my late elderly cat who had multiple serious health issues during her final years of life. Their rates are competitive, and they provide reasonable recommendations for testing, diet, home care, and other aspects of pet health. Pets and pet owners alike are treated with respect and compassion by everyone at the clinic including receptionists, nurses, and vets. The only reason that we switched vets this winter is because we moved. I will continue to recommend the West Allis clinic to family and friends in Milwaukee. Thank you for everything that you do!

My wife and I had 2 chocolate labs. When my wife moved her in 2007 from Marshfield it was hard for her to find a vet as good as the one she had up there. After doing our research on vets in the Milwaukee area we found the West Allis Veterinary Clinic. My wife grew up on a dairy farm and after she saw that Dr. Dan worked with large animals and with dairy she said we have to see him. So needless to say we have been taking our girls to him for 9 years and can't say enough good things about Dr. Dan and the whole staff. We are thankful to find a team that is so loving and passionate for each of their patients. We had to put one of our girls down in September of 2014 and we did it at the Animal Hospital and the next day we received a call from Dr. Dan giving his condolences and his favorite memory of our Sadie girl and later in the week a card from the Doctor and staff. Everyone is wonderful. I have gone to a lot of vets where you can tell people are not happy with their job. That isn't the case here. Our dog Fern is excited to go to the vet which tells me a lot about the practice here. My daughter snuck her pet rat in the car on a visit. As long as we were there the Dr took a look at her and knew instantly how to deal with a skin problem on her tail. I recommend this vet to everyone. My parents have been at their vet about 25yrs and are switching over to West Allis.

I was excited to bring our two cats here because we just moved to the Milwaukee area and havent found a vet yet. They had great reviews so I thought we found the right place for us. When we arrived no one greeted us or smiled once. I know a lot about my pets and am in the works to becoming vet tech, so I brought up some concerns and questions and the guy(who didnt even introduce himself to us, so i dont know his name) kept giving me dirty looks and kind of ignored my concerns. He was acting like he is the dr. so he knows all and thats that, very disrespectful to me. they were okay looking and dealing with the animals, but had an attitude and made me feel like a bad pet owner when I know im not. Then to top it all off as we were paying what the receptionist interrupted my husband to take a personal call which took about 5 minutes while we were just standing there at the counter waiting. One of my cats has anxiety issues and peed herself so to make us wait while shes covered in her own urine is unacceptable, especially since it wasn't a work related call.. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. Yes they have decent affordable prices but I would rather pay up the wazoo for better care than to come back here.

Absolutely cannot say enough good things about Dr. Grewal and the staff of West Allis vet. I have been going here since my dogs were pups and Dr. Grewal is the best of the best. My female chihuahua was horribly sick with pyometra not too many months back and went in for emergency surgery. She was treated so well, as were we. Now I am going through a lot with my oldest male chihuahua and they are so patient and thorough. Helping to guide me in finding the right treatment and helping me make tough decisions. And they are very affordable as well. Thank you Dr. G and staff for always being there for us!

I adopted my dog Trixie at 13 months old and I have relied on the West Allis Veterinary Clinic ever since for both her medical and behavioral needs. She has anxiety towards unfamiliar people and places, and the staff of this clinic make it a pleasant experience each time. Not only are the prices the best in town, but you get the sincerity and expertise that make the cheaper prices even more of a steal! The office staff do a great deal to accommodate my dog's anxiety when it comes to scheduling her appointments, and their customer service is superb! I tell everyone I know to consider the West Allis Veterinary Clinic becauseI wouldn't dream of taking Trixie anywhere else. I both look forward to seeing Dr. Banceu again soon and I appreciate his partnership towards maintaining my dog's well-being. Was not thrilled with our experience. In all fairness out initial visit was free because we adopted our dog from the local humane society. We had to pay for a couple vaccinations which was expected but the visit was rushed and no prices were discussed until after treatment was given. I was told that he needed month tick and heartworm prevention medications. As a new pet owner I was unsure and just bought what I was told he needed. I didn't realize that the medications required prescriptions. I decided to shop around because it was a new monthly expense, which to me seems like a reasonable thing to do. I researched prices online and at Costco and found prices that were 30-50% less. I contacted the clinic and requested a script be sent to Costco and was informed that a $10 fee is charged per script. I understand this tactic is legal but felt unnecessary to me. I called around to three other clinics in the area and inquired about charges for sending prescriptions and all three told me they do not do so. I went into the clinic and explained that in my research it does not seem like charging for a prescription is common practice and asked if the fee could be waived. I was told that it was not possible. I had to miss a follow up appointment for a booster lyme vaccination due to a schedule conflict. I ended up going to a vaccine clinic at petco because it worked with our schedule and I didn't want to wait too long and have to start the series over. I brought all of the medical history and vaccination information we had from the humane society and the veterinary clinic and the vet at costco explained that our puppy was actually due for a third DHPP. This seems like it was missed by the West Allis vet as it was never discussed or scheduled (again as a new pet owner I would have never known.) When I went in to West Allis Vet Clinic to tell them about it they informed me that the person that checked us in for the initial appointment wrote down the vaccination information incorrectly and he is actually due for another vaccination. When I asked why this wasn't caught when I presented all of the paperwork at the initial appointment and they just said they would find out who checked us in and talk to them. Prior to leaving I purchased a flea and tick medication that was recommended by one of the office staff at the clinic. They helped me weigh my dog and had all of his information and sold me what I believed to be the proper medication. When I got home I went to give my puppy the medication and read that it was for dogs 6 months and older. My puppy is 5 months. I called the clinic back to see if it was safe to give him the medication and they spoke to the vet and told me I should wait a month. I expressed my disappointment with the services and told them I would be looking for a new vet in the future. I was told that our account will be deactivated. Absolutely no attempt to resolve the situation. I will be sure to research providers in the future instead of going to the one that is closest.

We have a French Bulldog puppy, last month it was time to get him neutered & I searched for a Vet closer to where I live after using a Vet in Cedarburg for years. I was thrilled with the care Bentley received, very reasonable in cost and awesome Dr. and Staff. That leads me to today- my daughter dropped a makeup sponge on the floor - being a puppy and a frenchie, he inhaled the egg sized sponge in about two seconds flat.... In a panic I call the West Allis Veterinary Clinic expecting for him to have to have this surgically removed. They calmly told me measures to take to induce vomiting and shortly there after he did just that. They saved me a very costly surgery and more importantly- him from a traumatic experience. I cant thank you enough West Allis Veternay clinic for your Help and Kindness today ~ . You have earned a client for life and I will be telling everyone I know how wonderful you are!

We were very pleased initially with our first appointment their with our pet. Price is a factor for us and they met our need for our first pet visit. After that is where I felt it changed. In their defense, we do have a dog that we adopted came with some illnesses we needed to take care of. We typically spent $300 give or take each visit. Our dog had a UTI and needed meds amongst other issues. They wanted us to come back to follow up on that along with another issue our pet had. I had taken a urine sample at home and had basic UTI test strips. The vet asked about keystones which my test did not provide. I stated ours showed our pet did not have a UTI. I brought the box of the strips I used and said our pet does not have a UTI. They looked over the information and was okay. Anyways, they took our dog back to perform a different test. When the vet came back he explained they decided to check her urine and it was negative. He already new that. Now, my dog was cathed and a urinalysis done which caused her irritation for a couple days. I WAS charged and did not speak up. I take responsibility for that, but took note and felt taken advantage of.
We did decide to change vets after the incidence I will explain. Our pet had two previous UTIs in several months time. We called the morning our pet wet in the house and seen dark blood tinged urine. We could not make it mid-day and they did not have appt in the morning. (I don't expect to get seen the second I call). However, I did request since we could not get in until 4 and were available this morning would they prescribe her an antibiotic to get her started and we would come back at 4. Our pet was distressed and anyone that has ever had a UTI knows the pain and uncomfortableness they cause. Our pet had the history of UTIs so they asked. The vet stated he would not and wanted to see her. They had an appt at 4 we could make. I felt they made our dog suffer. We went to another vet in West Allis and were very pleased with the service and cost. Our dog does have a UTI and was started on medications that morning. Making our dog suffer when I offered to come back, is the reason we chose to leave this vet.
I rated them a two as they do follow proper procedures (other than the consent to treat for the urine sample). They will want to repeat tests to be sure everything illness is gone which will cost you, but they are thorough. In addition, the staff is very friendly.

I have a mini dachshund. She is my world. She is so loving and wonderful in every way. Unfortunately, this breed inherently has major dental problems. She has had to have her teeth surgically cleaned with several teeth extractions four times. I just moved to WI last year. A family member recommended this veterinary office. I have had her teeth done here now twice. Both times she has recovered quickly. That has not happened in the past at other vets. Before I had to worry and nurse her for 2 days afterward. Dr Dan was very professional, knowledgeable and taught me several things I didn't not know about caring dogs in this state i.e. heart worm and lyme's prevention. The staff was so sweet and helpful. I feel blessed to be a client.

They put my 7lb female cat's weight on my 16lb male dog's chart and vice-versa. They asked me if I knew my dog had hip problems, I said "yes", they never mentioned it again or offered any advice about it. Most of the employees were rude and acted superior... unless you were a regular client, then they greeted you like royalty.

Absolutely a great place to take your pet. I always feel welcomed and everyone is professional. Dr. Dan and the staff are amazing, friendly, and actually care about their patients. I couldn't be more thankful for how Dr. Dan handled our cat's passing. He came to our home to euthanize her. He and the nurse were very gentle and respectful when removing her from our home. I took my older dog Chico to this clinic. When he became much older and his hind legs began to give out, I called the staff at the clinic to inquire about euthanasia. The staff were all very kind and understanding. Dr. Banceau even came to euthanize my dog at home so that he would be as comfortable as possible. We still use this vet to care for our new pup and they were very helpful with diagnosing all of his food allergies.

From making appointments to picking up prescription food to ordering lab work, everyone at the clinic is friendly, helpful, and professional. It gave me a peace of mind to bring my cats to such a great clinic, especially my late elderly cat who had multiple serious health issues during her final years of life. Their rates are competitive, and they provide reasonable recommendations for testing, diet, home care, and other aspects of pet health. Pets and pet owners alike are treated with respect and compassion by everyone at the clinic including receptionists, nurses, and vets. My wife and I had 2 chocolate labs. When my wife moved her in 2007 from Marshfield it was hard for her to find a vet as good as the one she had up there. After doing our research on vets in the Milwaukee area we found the West Allis Veterinary Clinic. My wife grew up on a dairy farm and after she saw that Dr. Dan worked with large animals and with dairy she said we have to see him. So needless to say we have been taking our girls to him for 9 years and can't say enough good things about Dr. Dan and the whole staff. We are thankful to find a team that is so loving and passionate for each of their patients. We had to put one of our girls down in September of 2014 and we did it at the Animal Hospital and the next day we received a call from Dr. Dan giving his condolences and his favorite memory of our Sadie girl and later in the week a card from the Doctor and staff. Everyone is wonderful. I have gone to a lot of vets where you can tell people are not happy with their job. That isn't the case here. Our dog Fern is excited to go to the vet which tells me a lot about the practice here. My daughter snuck her pet rat in the car on a visit. As long as we were there the Dr took a look at her and knew instantly how to deal with a skin problem on her tail. I recommend this vet to everyone. My parents have been at their vet about 25yrs and are switching over to West Allis.

I was excited to bring our two cats here because we just moved to the Milwaukee area and havent found a vet yet. They had great reviews so I thought we found the right place for us. When we arrived no one greeted us or smiled once. I know a lot about my pets and am in the works to becoming vet tech, so I brought up some concerns and questions and the guy(who didnt even introduce himself to us, so i dont know his name) kept giving me dirty looks and kind of ignored my concerns. He was acting like he is the dr. so he knows all and thats that, very disrespectful to me. they were okay looking and dealing with the animals, but had an attitude and made me feel like a bad pet owner when I know im not. Then to top it all off as we were paying what the receptionist interrupted my husband to take a personal call which took about 5 minutes while we were just standing there at the counter waiting. One of my cats has anxiety issues and peed herself so to make us wait while shes covered in her own urine is unacceptable, especially since it wasn't a work related call.. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. Yes they have decent affordable prices but I would rather pay up the wazoo for better care than to come back here.

Absolutely cannot say enough good things about Dr. Grewal and the staff of West Allis vet. I have been going here since my dogs were pups and Dr. Grewal is the best of the best. My female chihuahua was horribly sick with pyometra not too many months back and went in for emergency surgery. She was treated so well, as were we. Now I am going through a lot with my oldest male chihuahua and they are so patient and thorough. Helping to guide me in finding the right treatment and helping me make tough decisions. And they are very affordable as well. Thank you Dr. G and staff for always being there for us!

I was very nervous As Rome can be very intimidating but all the nurses were just sweet as can be and the Doctor was also awesome and was great with Rome. I adopted my dog Trixie at 13 months old and I have relied on the West Allis Veterinary Clinic ever since for both her medical and behavioral needs. She has anxiety towards unfamiliar people and places, and the staff of this clinic make it a pleasant experience each time. Not only are the prices the best in town, but you get the sincerity and expertise that make the cheaper prices even more of a steal! The office staff do a great deal to accommodate my dog's anxiety when it comes to scheduling her appointments, and their customer service is superb! I tell everyone I know to consider the West Allis Veterinary Clinic becauseI wouldn't dream of taking Trixie anywhere else. I both look forward to seeing Dr. Banceu again soon and I appreciate his partnership towards maintaining my dog's well-being.
