Before Dr. Miller took over, when the clinic was still owned by Spring Harbor Animal Hospital Dr. Vollendorf was the best vet! Then when he moved Miller came in and right off the bat when I brought my dog in for her check up, my dog immediately didn't go to her. She was scared of her and I knew right then and there she didn't like Miller. The other thing I found ridiculous is when I took my one Guinea pig there to be put down due to cancer, no joke she charged me $75 to put him down. I was like wtf? Luckily spring harbor still owned the clinic at that time. I was reimbursed my money. After she bought the clinic I found her prices out rages. I found Miller stuck up crazy horse person. I am incredibly impressed with the service from Dr. Jensen and his staff. We were visiting family in Prairie and discovered a lump on our Golden, Basil, that turned out to be a mast cell tumor. The office made arrangements to get us in quickly for surgery. Dr. Jensen was very compassionate and thorough and I was 100% confident in his ability to give us the best possible outcome. He also took extra time to talk me thru different scenarios when we learned Basil had a low RBC. I cannot say enough good things about MVC and give them my highest recommendations. Read Less

I went to Monona Vet Clinic on the recommendation of my own vet who was out of town. I was able to get a same day appt. with Dr. Miller who my dog and I found to be kind and patient. She took time to listen to me, answer my questions and most of all reassure me. Bonus is that allow she does not treat horses, she owns and loves them. I got a pleasant surprise when checking out that she offers discounts when paying with cash or check and she is very reasonably priced. Her receptionist is very pleasant as well. Read Less

We have received nothing but compassionate friendly care....Dr Miller has always been punctual with our appts and always takes plenty of time going over all details of our concerns. Owner/Dr is a nasty lying person. All equipment used has to b 25 years old. Wouldn't recommend having any surgery with her pieced together equipment. I did nothing but work hard and run this ladies clinic to be fired for being late. Then as if firing me wasn't enough she gave my 8 days to find a new home and move. She gave no thought to my babies (kitty's and dog) that she was throwing out on the street to b nothing but vendictive. Read Less

While there on a Saturday to have my dogs nails trimmed. I saw what assumed to be the doctor in a white coat talking very demeaning to her employees. While sitting in the waiting room I over heard other people commenting about how they have been waiting 20-40 minutes past their scheduled apt time!?! Also I found it very expensive:( Read Less

We have been clients of Dr. Rachel Miller for a couple of years now, and are very impressed with her technical skill, but just as importantly, with her compassion and empathy for our pets (and for us!). We were forced to say goodbye to our 13-year-old Lab-cross last March and Dr. Rachel made her passing and subsequent cremation at least bearable. She has also bought our 17-year-old "king of the farm" cat new life by diagnosing a thyroid condition and prescribing necessary meds. Dr. Rachel is the best small-animal vet we've ever had. Doctor Miller has been taking care of our cats and dogs for years. She is very thorough - always investigates a symptom to determine what the problem is before throwing a treatment at it. She always takes the time to answer all the questions we have, and has called us at home in the evening to report test results. She makes referrals when another vet might have more expertise (example: emergency treatments and specialized care). Doctor Miller knows our pets by name and treatment history, and it's obvious she loves her patients. We would not trust Louie and Stella (our cats) or Steve The Wonderdog to any other vet. Read Less

I did not like the service I received at Monona Vet Clinic. I feel that they do not keep good records nor do they give accurate information their clients. When I asked for a history of everything we had done at the clinic they were only able to provide a list of things for which our dog was due. The clinic uses abbreviations for all reminder cards and when I asked for more information about what each was, I received an explanation from the 15 year old receptionist that Heartworm medication should be given to repel ticks - which is not true. Finally, the reminder list also included Castration, which was done before we even brought the dog there. Read Less

Took my dog for our first vet visit in our new town today, so far so good! The receptionist is friendly and on the ball, she co-ordinated our records form our previous vet, we got in for our appointment quickly, and the vet and assistant were patient and kind with my pooch. I was happy with the level of information, and the time they took to answer my questions too. My dog is fine, we just needed a check-up and vaccinations, that went smoothly, we talked a little about my dog's general health, how he's aging, and what we need to keep an eye on. The price was very competitive, including getting me a generic brand of heart-worm tablets, which saved me some money. Good deal, I'm happy. Read Less
