I went on 12/26/17. I had called that morning about my cat and the woman taking my call was so pleasant and kind. She had me explain what my cats problem was and she was more than accommodating with finding me a time to come in that same day. When my wife and I arrived, my first impression was wow this place is so clean. They also have cat only hours which is so awesome to have as a cat owner. The woman at the front desk greeted with a big smile and knew who our cats name was. She was very friendly. As we waited, i noticed the woman at the front desk holding a cat. Im not sure if it was her own or a customers, however she was so gentle and gave the cat kisses. I instantly said to my wife, "ok thats awesome that she loves cats!". The nurse came in and was so friendly. She wasnt afraid of our cat as he isnt a fan of strangers. She was patient and had different techniques of handling our cat that was pain free n had him submit in a way that wasnt painful. She was great. The doctor was also good. He explained everything n presented options for our situation. I cold go on but i am just very happy with our service to our baby boy and the staff we dealt with that day were delightful. I was treated so well by the vet when my pup Cali was sick. They were kind and understanding. They were honest about the expectations and outcomes. I appreciate them soon much. I've gotten opinions on my animal and was told by multiple people from the vet field that my cat just needed a second round of antibiotics. Trying to force me to come in when I know what's wrong? No thanks, I'll go somewhere else where they're not just trying to get my money. I should have listened to people when they said I shouldn't go here cause you don't listen and just want money. Took my kitty " Spazzy" there for his First vets visit and I found out that he is a SHE :) lol they are the nicest people you will ever meet, great prices, great hours, they take love to your animal is if it was there's! :) I'd choose this vet over any other! The staff here really does treat your pet as if it was your own. I took my 4 year old Boxer/Great Dane in for her first time at a vet clinic and when she would normally be hard to calm down from all the excitement, Dr. Dane and the rest of the staff made us both feel very comfortable.  They explained every vaccine and it's benefits and didn't pressure me to get anything we didn't need. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pet clinic in the Neenah area. They even offer cat only hours for less stress on your feline! Read Less

I am very disappointed and a little disturbed by my experiences with American. Dr. Popp was awesome then he got mysteriously fired. Dr. Harness was good too then she left with some of the better support staff. I don't remember the last poor vet that there last year and now she is gone. The assistants are on high turnover too. When I called after 1PM frantic, I couldn't get someone to respond till after 2:30PM, because of an unposted weekly staff meeting. The rehearsed and insincere phone slogans and "baby talk" to my pets from the staff has gotten old. So has the sales tactics to buy the several hundred dollar health packages from commissioned veterinarians when I have a healthy young pet there for a broken toenail! I am a second generation client that has decided to seek another veterinary clinic that is genuine, sincere, and retains employees.Read Less

Dr. Harness goes above and beyond to help pets. She is very intelligent and knows all the latest research about treatment and surgery options when your pet is in need. She has a special expertise for cats and kittens and does a great job taking care of my cats. She is very thorough and will take the time to talk things through with you. I have been a client there for 35 years and have always been more than pleased by their compassion, caring, expertise, and committment.
