i have taken my baby pararkeet to this hospital, twice. The entire staff is sooooooo nice and polite. Deandra is an assistant that was beyond sweet to my pet. The Vet could have easily charged us 3 x the amount he actually did, and I am beyond grateful for that. Great staff and reasonable prices. Had two surgeries done on two separate dogs here and I trusted that they were in good care the whole time. My only complaint is that I wish they had called us and kept us more in the loop as to pick up time but I understand that the office can be crazy busy at times. Great service overall. Read Less

New Berlin Animal Hospital has cared for our pets for over two decades. The vets and techs take great care of the animals, and the vets have been consistently constructive and realistic in their suggestions for care over the years. We've worked with all five of the doctors currently practicing at the clinic and have found all to be top notch. They all have different styles, so you may prefer one over another, but all show great skill. DOES NOT CARE FOR THE HEALTH OF YOUR PET! After our first checkup, they tried to sell us on the overpriced heartworm medicine they offered, and then told us ordering our heartworm pills from 1800petmeds is foolish and often you get expired medicine. We respectfully told them we had not had that problem and will continue to order from them. When we did that, we were contacted by 1800petmeds stating this company would not authorize this order electronically (or by fax) have to go in to the vet and get a paper prescription and mail it in before our medicine can ship. So now, the day our pup needs her pill, we are told to come in from 2-5pm and pick up the prescription and then mail it in. We will be going to another vet from now on. Read Less

We've been taking our dogs here for 7 years. We have never had a negative experience. Our regular vet is Dr. Matt Sobon. He takes time with our dogs. Border Collies aren't always the easiest to work with...he seems to genuinely care. The vet techs and receptionists have always been helpful and friendly. Read Less

We bring both our cat and dog to New Berlin Animal Hospital. We shopped around for quite a while before choosing one, and I can't say that I am unhappy about it! I believe there are 5 doctors there, Dr. Michelle McDonough is who sees our pets and she is pretty great! Being new to dogs we had lots of questions and Michelle was very patient, didn't speak for us, and let us ask all the questions we wanted. She offered up tons of suggestions, behavior classes, and plenty of paperwork to keep organized with our new pup's needs and records. I feel that the prices are fair, and the staff is quite helpful and sincere. Each time that we have been there the staff has been great with our pets taking very good care of them. Sophie, our puppy, is very hesitant with new people but absolutely loves going to the vet and has a great time interacting with the staff. I brought my pets here because my husband knows one of he vets. Everything was fine until I made an appointment for my bird. I did call and they could fit me in however I did have another time-sensitive appointment 40 minutes later. I did make them aware of this several times. When I was at the clinic I waited approx 15 minutes. I called my other appointment and moved it 15 minutes later. The receptionist heard the conversation. Finally someone came out and said that a very ill pet takes precedence  to my birds appointment.  Fine but that should have been brought to my attention when I came in. Oh no let me sit and wait. Finally I left my bird there(I did not like that) came back to pick him up only to receive a 144.00 bill. My dogs exams and fecal samples are cheaper. I feel these sort of tests and prices should be disclosed. I did call today to discuss the bill. The vet said that she talked to me on the phone and was going to do the test. We have been taking our pets to NBAH since 2003. They're awesome! We used to see Dr. Bache until he retired & we have seen all of the doctors since then. We LOVE Dr.Herman! The other doctors are great as well, but the reason I had to knock it down a star because we had an unpleasant experience with just one of their doctors, and we just choose not to see that doctor anymore! :) I do know other people who see that doctor though, and they like him! So it's really individual preference!Also, the support staff, (vet techs and receptionists) are all super friendly, helpful, and welcoming! Read Less
