We switched clinics after reading the positive reviews here on Google. We weren’t satisfied with our previous clinic experience. Dr. Smith & all the staff at Countryside Veterinary Clinic are the best! Very professional & heartfelt. Our Lab is now getting better finally after a couple years & a lot of money spent at previous clinic. Dr. Smith definitely knows how to make your pet better. We feel blessed to have her & this clinic. I highly recommend them for your pets. They show love & provide caring support even when you are home to make sure all your questions are answered & that you can call them any time day or night. Superb care. Everyone there from the front desk, technicians, and veterinarians are very dedicated, compassionate, and accommodating. I can never thank Dr. Smith enough for her kindness and understanding when my dog of 13 years became suddenly ill overnight. I contacted their emergency number and spoke with Dr. Smith over the phone. She felt it best I bring my dog in. She met me at the clinic that night, along with a technician (who was also fabulous but I can't remember her name- I am so sorry- I think it was Sheila). Dr Smith was so gentle and patient with my little girl. It became obvious my dog was in severe respiratory distress. Dr Smith did several things to keep her comfortable while we discussed all options. Dr Smith was willing to follow any course that I chose. The outlook was not good and due to many other factors, I made the difficult decision to put my dog down. I did not know Dr Smith and we were not customers/patient of the clinic. But it felt like Dr Smith had known us for years. She completely understood how difficult things were for me and was incredibly kind and patient. and even though it was the middle of the night, she never made me feel rushed. She sat with me and was very comforting. A few days later I received a card in the mail relaying the clinics' sympathy for my loss. Since then, I have brought numerous dogs to this clinic and have never had any regrets. I have never experienced anyone being crabby, ornery, or impatient. I have never felt rushed or that my concerns were not heard. The are very clear about treatment plans and options. I would (and do) highly recommend this clinic to anyone. Read Less

I have been taking my pets to Countryside since our family moved to New Richmond over 13 years ago. At first, I chose the clinic because of the emergency vet care. No other clinics in the area provided "true" emergency care. Had I chose another clinic, I would have had to bring my pets to a traditional emergency clinic 40 minutes away. With Countryside, it's like a real hospital, there is always someone on call and they always respond in a timely fashion. If it is determined that the animal needs to be seen immediately, the on call vet and support staff, meet you at the clinic. On our first visit, I was sold. The front desk staff was knowledgeable, professional and very friendly! Since then, my pets have seen all the doctors at the clinic and all have the utmost respect for me and handle my furbabies as though they were their own! The vet techs rock too! Always a smile for you and awesome advice as well!!! And when it comes time to say good by to your baby, the entire staff is so very respectful and supportive in your very difficult time. I would keep going to Countryside even if I moved out of New Richmond, they are well worth the drive!!! I will take my pets nowhere else!!! Read Less

Our Chesapeake has been ill on and off for about 4 days. We took him to our regular vet where they took X-rays and realized he had swallowed a ball. Because it was Saturday they wanted to wait until Monday to do surgery. They explained that he could become critical in that time. He most likely wouldn’t eat or drink either. This didn’t sit right with me. Why should he be made to suffer and possibly die? This is the SWEETEST dog in the history of forever. I called, and called, and called other offices begging for someone to operate on him that day. I kept getting hit with the same answer, “we don’t do surgery on Saturdays.” So apparently nobody ever has an emergency?!?! What a disservice! I called Countryside and they were genuinely concerned for our dog. They said they would be more than happy to do the surgery in a couple hours time. The quote they gave me was also very reasonable for being an emergency. They did the surgery and updated us ASAP. When my husband picked him up Countryside had charged us even less than quoted. In a situation like this, I feel like opportunity to take advantage of someone is sky high, but they did the opposite. I was almost in tears when my husband told me. Jackson will be back to Countryside for all of his future wellness care. They cared enough not to let our family member die, they took good care of him and us... they won us for a lifetime!! Because of the kind and compassionate people at Countryside, Jack is alive, well, happy, and is loving on his human sisters every chance he gets! Read Less

We drove over an hour to go to Countryside Vet Clinic when our dog was very sick. Dr Corey Johnson was amazing, very patient, sympathetic and understanding to our needs. Felt like he supported whatever decision we made that was best for us. He told us what all of our options were, what more testing we could do and what the outcome looked like. Never felt pressured in any way of what to do. After we lost our dog, he sent a card with his sympathies and a personal note in it. Read Less

The Best Vets in the West....Wisconsin! We have taken our dogs to Countryside for over 10 years. We found them when a competitor had given up. I started taking my dog, Zoey to Countryside Veterinary 3 years ago. All staff have been exceptional. I have always had all of my questions answered in a timely manner. I have used the after hours line for emergencies and appreciate this service. The facility is always very clean and comfortable. I have used their boarding service too.
