Care for your pet is good, unfortunately they have hidden fees! You ask for a quote for your appt the next day. You get to your appt, and you are prepared to pay the quote, what was done nothing more!!!! To find out as they go along they start charging you For things they do, however don't tell you that, and here your thinking of the quote number you were given, and you go to check out, and it's double the price agreed on. And nothing extra was to be added!!!! I let them know I didn't agree on anything extra testing etc! That should have been asked of me before anything! If I didn't catch some of the hidden fees I would have been way out of price range to even pay!! However I was forced to have to pay for a test I didn't even ask for, and since it was already done I had to pay!!! I let them know I didn't ask for anything extra and why wasn't I asked each time they tried to add something? No answers just apologizing!!! So I am switching vets due to this!!! I love this place! My husband and I have been going here a very long time. We have had 3 seperate pets here for care and have always been pleased with our care. I have been going to this campus when the father Dr. Osgood was in charge and he was amazing. Now his sons run it and they have built it up to keep up with the times. They are caring and compassionate Dr's. They're down to earth and bend over backwards for you. They know that all my pets are like my children and not just an animal. They know when one of my babies are hurting that I come to them because I want the best care that they can give me. They do what I ask and treat me and my little one with respect. I have never had a problem with their staff. I think the Osgood Dr's would be very disappointed if they knew that they treated one of their clients disrespectfully. First, the bad: I've been going to Brentwood with pet rats since I was 10 years old, but the last few times I called with a quick question, either the receptionist was snotty, or the doctor never called me back. Because of that, I switched to Dr. Julie Keen at Harris Pet Hospital who allows you to email her quick questions at no cost. (I'm a college student who lives on her own- I can't be making $40 appointments over every little thing) the other thing that bothered me was I have multiple rats who would only take up 1 appointment slot, and yet, I was charged for every single rat...Dr Julie at Harris will see all my rats for the price of one appointment. The good: when I was a little girl, only 10 or 11, either Dr Brett or Dr brad (can't remember) did an autopsy on one of my rats for free, which I will remember forever because that is so sweet. Now, the other day, I had to go to Brentwood for an emergency appointment because Dr Julie at Harris was out. Neither Dr Brad or Dr Brett were at Brentwood so I saw a new Dr: Dr Christie. Let me tell you, this woman is amazing! She is incredibly empathetic, explains everything she does as she's doing it, and she helped me come to a decision when I had some very tough options laid in front of me regarding one of my rats. We decided to euthanize my rat because she had an infection that was just too far gone. Dr Christie explained that I couldn't be in the room during the procedure because it is tough on the owners to watch small animals be euthanized (it's different from cats or dogs) but I explained to her that I've had 13 rats in my life and that I could handle it. She trusted my decision and allowed me in the room & im telling you, I've never had a vet trust in my judgment so much. I'm very appreciative of her. At the end, she hugged me, which is unusual for a doctor I feel, but it was so great, I just felt so loved and taken care of by her. Great staff at front desk!  So helpful and patient and refreshing!  I called numerous times with questions and asking advise and never once did I feel slighted or as though my questions were landing on deaf ears...Shanita was very helpful as was everyone I spoke with.  My mother brought in my dog for me and she too commented on the professionalism of the entire office.  My mother saw Dr. Lindner and spoke very highly of her.  Thank you so much for a positive experience.  We will be bringing our dog in again when we need vet care in Oak Creek. I took my 16 year old cat here because she wasn't eating, drinking, or controlling her bowel movements.  After having gone to another vet who provided the worst service and really didn't give me any answers and only seemed interested in making some money through bloodwork, I took her to Brentwood and Dr Christie Bartow was one of the best vets I have ever had the chance to meet.  She considered the entire health history of my cat and ran through all the possible reasons why she was sick and then started ruling them out based on what was found or not found in blood work.  I could tell she really cared about both my cat and myself and wasn't there to make a quick buck.  The news wasn't good and we had to put her to sleep, but Dr Bartow really made a bad situation as good as it could be. Beyond that, they have always been fantastic with me, they explain everything in terms I can understand and are extremely compassionate. Dr. Brett is top notch as is the entire staff. So, our kitty, Toby and our dog, Duchess both got fixed today. Toby is home and very happy about it. But, he's still all doped up so he's cracking me up! Crazy cat! Our poor Duchess had to spend the night because she's much older and bigger and she's a female, but she's also healing well and resting. We get to go pick her up around noon tomorrow. I can't wait! But the poor girl will have to wear a lampshade on her head for a while. She's NOT gonna like that! I can't say enough great things about the entire staff at Brentwood Animal Hospital. Last week, three minutes before closing I brought my severely injured dog in-hoping to have her looked at versus going to the emergency vet. Dr. Nancy stayed over two hours past closing-performing what felt like life saving surgery with her, and I believe saved her life. (and while I was there Shawn had an earful of what I was going through as well and was very kind and didn't call me a lunatic. Yesterday when I woke up for work I noticed our kitten of 10 month, was looking blotted, weak, slow just not her self. . . I told my daughters that something was very wrong with Bella (her name) and I was taking her directly to the vet. They opened at 7a.m. and I was already there waiting for their doors to open. I told them that our newest member of our family was not right. . explained was I saw and asked if she could see a vet asap. . . .l was told that If I felt she needed emergency care, that I would need to take her to the closest emergency clinic on Hwy 100 and Beloit. Considering it is now a little after 7 a. m. with traffic it would take me an hour to get there; I opted to leave Bella entrusted to the care of Brentwood. Where we have taken our two dogs for 12 years. Brentwood also spayed and declawed Bella just one month prior to this visit. . We experienced a very unfortunate, sad and heartbreaking call from the doctor at Brentwood; Bella, (a Christmas gift to our two girls, ages 12 and 13) had a very rare diagnosis of FIP; fatal to cats. There was no other option but to releive Bella of her missery, heart renching to the entire family. The diagnosis was very well explained, and Brentwood staff was very professional and sympathetic in telling us the facts and outcome. . Due to the fact that we had invested approximately $500.00 in this family member within the past 3 months; would there be any chance of us receiving a discounted rate or any help if we adopted another kitten for spaying and declawing. . . I was told that that was not an option; as he continued to inform me of my options of adopting an adult cat from the Human Society where there would be no expenses incurred. . . With the economy as is it and the hard time everyone is experiencing, I believe that there should have been some sort of offer or discount to us considering the circumstances and the expense. I felt this to be cold and uncaring. Needless to say, I will be finding a new Vet to care for our dogs and any new family member we adopt in the near future. . . Read Less

When we adopted our rescue dog in 2009, we didn't know where to take her. We did some searching online and while there were many closer vets, the one with the best review was Brentwood. So we decided we'd give it a shot. Every time we take our pup to Brentwood we leave happy. The staff is always SO good-natured and nice to us and our girl. They take the time to explain what they're doing and always do their best to make our dog as comfortable as possible. There are no words to discribe the kindness and understanding we have for these people. My sister and I spoil our dogs and they in every way help us to do that. We started seeing them with our pets sometime in the 1960s and they have taken care of every one of our pets. Gypsy our baby was 18 when we had to put her down. Brad and Bret and even there father came in to say goodbye to her and they even had tears in their eyes. then the staff started coming in to say goodbye it was a very emotional time. not one of our dogs have ever been afraid to see the doctors they can't wait to go in the door. I feel very confident taking my dogs to Brentwood. The staff is very friendly and caring. The Dr.'s are always professional and VERY thorough in their prognosis no matter how big or small it is. They truly show their love of animals. Dr. Brad moved very fast when my dog was ill. He did all the right tests and was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. I don't think my dog would be here today if Dr. Brad wouldn't have gone above and beyond what was expected of him. We got the results on a Friday and by Monday morning he had us on our way to Madison to start the chemotherapy. Since Dr. Brad is trained in administrating chemo, we are able to have him administer 3/4 treatments without having to drive to Madison every week. Our dog is already in remission and is doing great!! He was honest about the choices about the cancer and the welfare of our dog. Read Less
