Have been taking my pet here for nearly 4 years. The whole staff is extremely nice and pleasant to work with. The doctors are knowledgeable and it feels like they genuinely care about what's best for my pet. It's a little more expensive than my normal vet, but I think it's reasonable considering they're specialized in animal eye care, which is evident in their expertise and specialized equipment. Would recommend to anyone with animals experiencing eye issues. Read Less

I like the vet a lot, but I am having a lot of trouble w getting my insurance forms filled out correctly. Lisa at the front desk was extremely rude to us on our first visit. Yes, I will continue going because I have asked many other vets n gotten very good feedback on this vet, but the insurance issue is a real problem. Read Less

This clinic and staff are wonderful. I was so nervous about my cat-baby going in for consult and then surgery. After each visit I was relieved and happy about the care they gave here. Dr. Collins is awesome! He is very personable and obviously cares for my pet's comfort and happiness (as well as for other pets' I'm sure). His explanations of my cat's status and prognosis were understandable and straight forward. All the other customer service reps and techs I came across were friendly and professional. The tech even knew how to handle my wiggly, impatient cat in a kind way. The lobby and rooms smell and look clean. Overall very happy client/customer/patient. I am so grateful for this place! The staff and clinic are wonderful! Every staff member was friendly and professional. The whole clinic smelled and looked neat and clean. Took my cat to the Phoenix office when I noticed a black spot in his eye. They recommended laser surgery. It was expensive, but went smoothly. Unfortunately the spots recurred and they recommended that the eye be removed. This was a big decision, and another big expense, but they were all very supportive. Dr. Barrett took the time to explain everything to me. The vet techs and front office staff were all very nice and took the time to make follow up calls after the surgeries. As soon as the pathology report came back they called with the results: Melanoma. Stage 1, so we caught it early and my cat has a good prognosis. Please don't ignore any irregularities in your pets' eyes--bring them here for a check up. Read Less

The dvm is great but Lisa at the front counter a witch.  I would not go back there if doc not good.  Totally uncooperative at even faxing our insurance in.  Said they would be middle man.  Wrong.  The front counters makes such a difference. I wonder if doctors know this. Read Less

I was referred to the clinic this morning because my cat has a rapidly growing mass in her eyelid. I couldn't have come to a better place. Both Dr Gunderson, and the tech (Sharon? sorry I was a little discombobulated and not paying attention when you introduced yourself) were awesome!! My cat was super comfortable with them, and they had a very matter of fact attitude about informing me about everything they were doing (which I appreciated since I was falling apart) and what it might mean (without jumping to conclusions). Excellent eye care for pets in the Albuquerque office, They helped my Red Heeler Capone keep his sight in one eye after losing vision completely in one eye! I have a big bug eye Boston terrier who is in here a lot! He is always poking and scratching his eye. The eye care you get here is far superior to what you would get from a general vet. I always call eye care first for all eye issues. I get into a room fast. My exams go fast. I get checked out fast. It's a great low stress environment for my dog. The staff is friendly and knows my dog well. I also feel the prices are reasonable for being a specialist! I never feel like I'm going in debt over my dogs special eye needs. One of Guinea pigs eyes looked awful a while back and I took her to a vet in greenfield and they told me there was nothing I could do and my pig would be blind in that eye forever. After I said I would do anything to help my pig. They suggested I take her to eye care for animals in pewaukee. The doctor was not used to seeing small animals, but she still did every test she could on my piggy while I was there and showed me what was wrong right away. I got the medicine my piggy needed right away and in a few days she was back to normal. All together for the visit, the tests, and the meds, it was $150. For a specialty vet clinic that doesn't usually work with small animals, that was a great price in my eyes. I definitely will return if any of my animals have an eye problem!!! Read Less

Not sure who this is going to reach but I want to send a personal Thank You to Dr. B Keith Collins and his staff in your Pewaukee, WI office.My wife and I had brought in our Saint Bernard, Spinot, for an eye injury/infection.   Dr. Collins and his staff were as gracious and understanding as a Saint Bernard's heart.  They got his eye just about back to normal until his bone cancer progressively took over a few days after his care with Dr. Collins and we had to send him to the Rainbow Bridge.Although Dr. Collins and his staff were only part of Spinot's life for a few days, they were able to make his last few days as comfortable as peaceful as they could.  I couldn't give enough Thank You's or hugs to show how much it meant to me and my wife. Dr. Collins performed laser surgery on my English Pointer and I knew she was in good hands from my initial visit with him and his staff.
