Poynette Veterinary Care

Poynette, Wisconsin
General Info
At the core of the local pet community, Poynette Veterinary Care is recognized for its thoroughness and consideration in animal treatment. Families rely on Poynette Veterinary Care, because it is a part of everyday life for the pet owners throughout Wisconsin. Animals start the visit entry sequence at speeds determined individually from the onset. Staff observe the cats’ behavior, timing of settling, and responses to various stimuli (touch, sound, and scent). Examinations cover aspects such as skin elasticity, limb mobility, dental health, coat condition, and weight distribution. Discussions about any changes in sleeping patterns, feeding routines, and overall energy levels within the household assist the veterinarian in identifying potential areas of concern. Poynette Veterinary Care offers the following services: vaccinations, bloodwork, mobility care, dental planning and preventive guidance, surgical support and long-term care discussions. The service implementation is either gradual or entire, depending on the pet’s sensory target. Some families choose multiple short ones (staged care), while others pick one or two targeted appointments followed by other resources. Each plan relies on what the family is capable of implementing and understanding caregivers’ psychological burdens, pet resilience, transportation access, and household schedules. Healthcare visits include inquiry and personal notes sections, which are helpful for patients new to a treatment or those with ongoing illnesses. Poynette Veterinary Care strives to integrate the lives of pet families in Poynette, WI and surrounding areas harmoniously so that veterinary care becomes a natural part of life rather than something to be feared or avoided. The services offered at the practice include Dental Care, Radiology (X-Rays), Nutritional Counseling, Hospice and Palliative Care, Laboratory, etc. These treatments cater to the needs of your pet at any stage of its life. Pet owners praise the team for its expertise and the way it compassionately communicates and explains medical decisions. The animal hospital staff endeavors to form long-term bonds with their clients by offering consistent services because they genuinely care. The clinic also plays a significant role in educating pet owners and implementing preventive health measures. Poynette Veterinary Care’s community engagement fosters a solid foundation for responsible pet ownership. New and returning clients consistently remark on the evolution of the hospital’s services, which remain in step with modern veterinary practices.

I have been going to Poynette Vet for years. I have four cats and each one of them has gone here for shots, check-ups, and neutering. I think the staff is very friendly and professional, as well as shows a great love for the animal kind. My cats have been treated with nothing but respect and kindness here. I have always found the prices reasonable and that is why I choose to keep coming here. I am from the Poynette area myself so being able to go local and driving not more than 5 minutes is ideal for my busy schedule. I am able to take my cats in and pick them up after work. Very very good veternarian services! I will keep coming back! Read Less

We moved our business from the Lodi Vet because they over charged and now this guy is doing the same thing. If it was just a value issue I would give 3 stars, but when I went to drop off my dog I arrived 10 minutes before 8AM when they open. At least 2 employees had seen me waiting in the parking lot prior to open, at 5 after 8 the door was still locked. Communication was good, but I asked that no unnecessary lab work be done, they did it anyway. I will be finding a new vet. I recently found a bill from this clinic from 2005 for spaying my dog, $150. The same procedure on my most recent dog was $850. Read Less
