My puppy was having some really bad wheezing/coughing and it was scary so I took her here in the middle of the night. They took such good care of her. She’s a VERY hyper dog and they didn’t even have to sedate her despite saying they might which I get. Amazing service. The price was acceptable too for emergency service. It turned out to be kennel cough but I’m just glad she’s okay and was well taken care of. The staff explained everything so well to me and were so nice to me and my puppy. Thank you for your help!

Came in on a Sunday with no idea why my Roscoe was shaking and weak. Was seen within minutes of checking in. The doctor was patient and informative. Left with everything I needed to treat a bulging disc in his back. He is back to normal with no further problems. First place I'll go if another emergency arises.

We came in with an emergent situation and were rather emotional and shaken up but the staff and doctors at WVRC were amazing. Not only did they take wonderful care of our fur-baby but took care of us as well. They kept us updated to her condition and progress throughout the day and not once did we have to call them to check up on our dog. You have no idea how much that extra step helps calm the worried nerves of anxious owners. They took their time explaining the steps and possible outcomes and not once did we feel rushed or that we were taking too much of their time up. When she was discharged they showed us and explained all post operative care until we had no questions or concerns. We also really appreciated the call the following morning to check on her condition and the reassurance that we can call them at any time with any concerns we may have. The staff at WVRC definitely helped make an awful situation into the best possible outcome with the least amount of stress possible. The compassion we were shown certainly left an impression on us that will not be forgotten.

Thank you for providing emergency services. On Sunday, 4/8, I woke to a very swollen face and eyes on my dog, Madeline. I found the phone number for WVRC on my vet's web site. From the time the phone was answered I felt assured that Madeline would be in good hands. I was told to bring her right in. After a thorough exam Dr. Mulvany gave Madeline a shot (antihistamine) and had us wait for 30 minutes. To my relief, the swelling went down almost immediately. The doctor examined Madeline a second time and sent us home with instructions for monitoring. The next morning I got a follow up call from WVRC as well as a call from my vet's office when they received a report from WVRC. Hoping I will never NEED their services again, I am very grateful that WVRC is there and I will not hesitate to recommend or bring my pet to them. Thank you again, Dan Jakubisin

I have taken my dog, belle, here once or twice in the past and I just took my new one in, Mindy, yesterday night. She had to stay over night and I barely got any sleep because I was so worried but the staff was so reassuring. They are incredibly friendly and they all explain everything in detail. Is it expensive? Yes, of course. It IS an emergency vet and any good animal owner will always pay the money for a good vet. It's rare to find vets that truly care and aren't money hungry and this is definitely that place. Mindy didn't seem to even want to leave which clearly shows they treat the animals with respect and love. They even cleaned up her little booties for me & her. Thank you wvrc, you guys rock!! ❤️

I hate that I had to give one star. If you don't have big money and your dog is sick....Do not go to this Er they are all about money. Payments are not able to be made unless you go threw one of their credit agencies and when I say one I mean ONE. Not compassionate, very awkward, and all about cash. They would not even let my husband and I see our dog. I thank God that I stopped by the Racine Veterinary Hospital first on accident they gave excellent care. Last but not least they also called a mount pleasant police just in case we didn't pay. We had hundreds on hand just not the thousands that they wanted. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I couldn't see these people helping a dog that was injured on their side walk with out a Cash Payment First.

We brought our cat in to see Dr. Accola because we could tell he has been losing his eyesight. Dr. Accola was thorough and compassionate while examining our cat's eyes. He also took the time to explain everything he found during the exam, and answered all of our questions without at all making us feel like he was trying to hustle us out. In spite of not getting the best news about our kitty's eyesight (he's definitely going to go completely blind and he's only one and a half years old), we walked out feeling extremely well informed about our baby's condition. I couldn't have been happier with our experience there!

The entire staff here was amazing. We brought in the baby around 10pm after he suddenly lost control and feeling in his back end. Unfortunately we ended up losing him. The entire staff was so kind and concerned. They gave us as much time and attention as we needed. We could not have asked for a better end for him. A few days later we received a condolence card from them. It was personalized from everyone that was there that night. More than our regular vet sent, they had just signed their names. If we ever need care again this may be our new provider. Thank you again WVRC!

On March 8th, 2017 around 6:30 pm we made the decision that it was "time" to bring our beloved Husky, Sierra in to Free her from pain. The staff was so friendly. I wish I got the name of the Doctor that was on that evening. She was nothing but caring, Loving and compassionate. In my foggy grief stricken state, I forgot to get her name, but the feeling that I left there with was one of amazement and relief. I was certain that we had made the Right decision for our Sierra girl.. Thank you Doctor for caring about what you do!

I didn't have a super duper emergency but my dogs nail was completely separated from the quick and was bleeding everywhere. My regular vet couldn't get us in until later. I could tell my dog was in severe discomfort as she was very frantic and crying. I tried to stop the bleeding to no avail. So off to the ER we go! This was our very first visit and I felt a little silly as I knew there are pets with very serious cases who need to be seen before my dog. But we were lucky enough to suprisingly walk into a very warm and inviting lobby with no other pets. The receptionist was fantastic and had great customer service skills. My dog was seen in a timely fashion and discharged by the vet who was very nice as well. The bill was not as bad as I expected so that's always great! I would not hesitate to come back if need be, although I hope I don't have to, and I'd recommend these guys to anyone! Thanks for helping my Opal. She's doing great and loves her pink princess wrap!

Thank you so much to the Staff at WVRC for taking care of my Fur baby Dodger, when my mom took him in on the 3rd of this month. The Dr was the same one that took care of my Fur babies last summer. My Sweet Dodger had to be put down, I opted for a Private Cremation, and a PawPrint. The staff at WVRC made this situation easier for me and my family to handle, where as other places would of made this time more difficult. I also want to thank the staff for the Card, Poem for Rainbow Bridge, the seeds in honor of Dodger, and the information for Pet Grieving Therapy. I received my little boy today, which they told us that it would be around the 20th, they were fast, efficient, compassionate, and Empathic! I recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone who needs to see a Vet after hours!

Kind and compassionate staff. My dog was treated last year for lepto, spent 6 nights in ICU, had a grim prognosis but pulled through thanks to their awesome team. This year he was treated for a mast cell tumor, received chemo, and is considered to be in remission. I have always had a positive experience with the staff despite the difficult circumstances for being there in the first place. I know not all outcomes are this good, but I appreciate the dedication of the staff in reception, emergency, internal medicine, and oncology to do what they can to get the best result.

whether you graduate #1 from the best veterinary school in the nation or graduate last from the worst school, they are all called Doctor and innocent patients are left to suffer. After having my golden retriever for 21 hours and still having no diagnosis because they did nothing more than an x ray - we picked him up and took him to lake geneva animal hospital. within 20 minutes we had an ultrasound and a blood test showing his liver was failing because he had Lepto. Do not entrust your loved one with these jokers. they failed to do basic baseline tests and to call them incompetent doesn't begin to tell the story. We lost a precious 24 hours where he could and should have been on an IV of antibiotics to treat the lepto - which can be fatal. Dr. Meghan Glazer and Dr. Karch should both lose their licenses. To make matters worse, the clinic director did not return my call to address my demand for a full refund for the money I paid in advance and in good faith in the expectation of competent care. They are hiding from taking responsibility.

This morning, Thanksgiving day, when everywhere is closed, WVRC in Racine helped me over the phone and anticipated my arrival, bringing in my cat who had to be euthanized. The ladies at the office were all so very nice and caring and let me and my daughter be a part of the process of losing our princess kitty. Thank you so much. It was affordable to bring comfort to her so she wouldn't suffer through the weekend and they were respectful that was my decision, and didn't try to force costly life saving procedures to me. I'll definitely use their services again if needed.

On Saturday, October 8th we had to bring our beloved cat Spooky in to end her suffering. We had been thinking about this and hoping we would not have to make that decision. But that day we knew it was time. It was the hardest decision and we are heartbroken. She was 19 years old. I have only needed a pet emergency room three times in the last twenty years, but my experience with WVRC has been absolutely the best.

We had our 5 year old Shitzu in, our 1st visit in Grafton at 11:00 at night for severe vomiting and lethargic behavior. Dr. Isaacson(Molly) and our Tech Libby, were outstanding in their treatment and care of our precious dog. I, was a basketcase, fearing the worst and never ever having any illness problems with our dog or any experience with an emergency Vet hospital. I cannot rave enough about the care he received and the thoughtfulness and compassion that was shown to my dog, my husband and myself...Hats off the the Grafton Veterinary Emergency hospital. Our dog was treated with fluids, shots and released. He was much better the next day and now is back to normal. They. even, followed up with a courtesy call to check on his well being.. We unexpectedly took our cat here about 2 weeks ago at 10:30pm where he saw Dr. Wiedmeyer at the Racine location. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming during our stressful situation. Unfortunately, Monster ended up crossing the rainbow bridge that night, but Dr. Wiedmeyer was very reassuring that we made the correct decision and in explaining all of our options. We even received a hand written sympathy card with poem and paw print of flowers from the staff a few days later.

I can't even tell you how touched my husband and I are at how kind your staff was to us last night when we brought our cat in as an emergency. The decision to put him down was hard but all of you made things as easy as possible for us. Giving us time with him before the procedure and allowing us to be with him while he drifted off. Thank you for your kindness during such a hard time. Every one of you last night definitely knows how to handle a situation like that and we appreciate it more than you know.

My puppy was having some really bad wheezing/coughing and it was scary so I took her here in the middle of the night. They took such good care of her. Payments are not able to be made unless you go threw one of their credit agencies and when I say one I mean ONE. Not compassionate, very awkward, and all about cash. They would not even let my husband and I see our dog. I thank God that I stopped by the Racine Veterinary Hospital first on accident they gave excellent care. Last but not least they also called a mount pleasant police just in case we didn't pay. We had hundreds on hand just not the thousands that they wanted. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I couldn't see these people helping a dog that was injured on their side walk with out a Cash Payment First.

We brought our cat in to see Dr. Accola because we could tell he has been losing his eyesight. Dr. Accola was thorough and compassionate while examining our cat's eyes. He also took the time to explain everything he found during the exam, and answered all of our questions without at all making us feel like he was trying to hustle us out. In spite of not getting the best news about our kitty's eyesight (he's definitely going to go completely blind and he's only one and a half years old), we walked out feeling extremely well informed about our baby's condition. I couldn't have been happier with our experience there!

The entire staff here was amazing. We brought in the baby around 10pm after he suddenly lost control and feeling in his back end. Unfortunately we ended up losing him. The entire staff was so kind and concerned. They gave us as much time and attention as we needed. We could not have asked for a better end for him. A few days later we received a condolence card from them. It was personalized from everyone that was there that night. More than our regular vet sent, they had just signed their names. If we ever need care again this may be our new provider. Thank you again WVRC!

On March 8th, 2017 around 6:30 pm we made the decision that it was "time" to bring our beloved Husky, Sierra in to Free her from pain. The staff was so friendly. I wish I got the name of the Doctor that was on that evening. She was nothing but caring, Loving and compassionate. In my foggy grief stricken state, I forgot to get her name, but the feeling that I left there with was one of amazement and relief. I was certain that we had made the Right decision for our Sierra girl.. Thank you Doctor for caring about what you do!

I didn't have a super duper emergency but my dogs nail was completely separated from the quick and was bleeding everywhere. My regular vet couldn't get us in until later. I could tell my dog was in severe discomfort as she was very frantic and crying. I tried to stop the bleeding to no avail. So off to the ER we go! This was our very first visit and I felt a little silly as I knew there are pets with very serious cases who need to be seen before my dog. But we were lucky enough to suprisingly walk into a very warm and inviting lobby with no other pets. The receptionist was fantastic and had great customer service skills. My dog was seen in a timely fashion and discharged by the vet who was very nice as well. The bill was not as bad as I expected so that's always great! I would not hesitate to come back if need be, although I hope I don't have to, and I'd recommend these guys to anyone! Thanks for helping my Opal. She's doing great and loves her pink princess wrap!

Thank you so much to the Staff at WVRC for taking care of my Fur baby Dodger, when my mom took him in on the 3rd of this month. The Dr was the same one that took care of my Fur babies last summer. My Sweet Dodger had to be put down, I opted for a Private Cremation, and a PawPrint. The staff at WVRC made this situation easier for me and my family to handle, where as other places would of made this time more difficult. I also want to thank the staff for the Card, Poem for Rainbow Bridge, the seeds in honor of Dodger, and the information for Pet Grieving Therapy. I received my little boy today, which they told us that it would be around the 20th, they were fast, efficient, compassionate, and Empathic! I recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone who needs to see a Vet after hours!

Kind and compassionate staff. My dog was treated last year for lepto, spent 6 nights in ICU, had a grim prognosis but pulled through thanks to their awesome team. This year he was treated for a mast cell tumor, received chemo, and is considered to be in remission. I have always had a positive experience with the staff despite the difficult circumstances for being there in the first place. I know not all outcomes are this good, but I appreciate the dedication of the staff in reception, emergency, internal medicine, and oncology to do what they can to get the best result.

After having my golden retriever for 21 hours and still having no diagnosis because they did nothing more than an x ray - we picked him up and took him to lake geneva animal hospital. within 20 minutes we had an ultrasound and a blood test showing his liver was failing because he had Lepto. Do not entrust your loved one with these jokers. they failed to do basic baseline tests and to call them incompetent doesn't begin to tell the story. We lost a precious 24 hours where he could and should have been on an IV of antibiotics to treat the lepto - which can be fatal. Dr. Meghan Glazer and Dr. Karch should both lose their licenses. To make matters worse, the clinic director did not return my call to address my demand for a full refund for the money I paid in advance and in good faith in the expectation of competent care. They are hiding from taking responsibility.

Not only were they so kind to us as fur-parents but they were so good to our fur-baby. Sherlock could not have been in better hands! This morning, Thanksgiving day, when everywhere is closed, WVRC in Racine helped me over the phone and anticipated my arrival, bringing in my cat who had to be euthanized. The ladies at the office were all so very nice and caring and let me and my daughter be a part of the process of losing our princess kitty. Thank you so much. It was affordable to bring comfort to her so she wouldn't suffer through the weekend and they were respectful that was my decision, and didn't try to force costly life saving procedures to me. I'll definitely use their services again if needed.

On Saturday, October 8th we had to bring our beloved cat Spooky in to end her suffering. We had been thinking about this and hoping we would not have to make that decision. But that day we knew it was time. It was the hardest decision and we are heartbroken. She was 19 years old. Thank you to the staff at the Racine office for being there when we needed you and for your wonderful care and compassion.

It is wonderful to have such excellent care available twenty four hours here in Waukesha. From the folks at the front desk to the doctors, everyone was professional yet warm and concerned for my cat's welfare. I would recommend them highly. I have only needed a pet emergency room three times in the last twenty years, but my experience with WVRC has been absolutely the best.

We had our 5 year old Shitzu in, our 1st visit in Grafton at 11:00 at night for severe vomiting and lethargic behavior. Dr. Isaacson(Molly) and our Tech Libby, were outstanding in their treatment and care of our precious dog. I, was a basketcase, fearing the worst and never ever having any illness problems with our dog or any experience with an emergency Vet hospital. I cannot rave enough about the care he received and the thoughtfulness and compassion that was shown to my dog, my husband and myself...Hats off the the Grafton Veterinary Emergency hospital. Our dog was treated with fluids, shots and released. He was much better the next day and now is back to normal. They. even, followed up with a courtesy call to check on his well being.. We unexpectedly took our cat here about 2 weeks ago at 10:30pm where he saw Dr. Wiedmeyer at the Racine location. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming during our stressful situation. Unfortunately, Monster ended up crossing the rainbow bridge that night, but Dr. Wiedmeyer was very reassuring that we made the correct decision and in explaining all of our options. We even received a hand written sympathy card with poem and paw print of flowers from the staff a few days later.

I can't even tell you how touched my husband and I are at how kind your staff was to us last night when we brought our cat in as an emergency. The decision to put him down was hard but all of you made things as easy as possible for us. Giving us time with him before the procedure and allowing us to be with him while he drifted off. Thank you for your kindness during such a hard time. Every one of you last night definitely knows how to handle a situation like that and we appreciate it more than you know.

We had a very sick cat. The doctors and staff were good, but a special mention should go to Drs Gould and Brockmann who really worked hard to pull him through.
