We had the most wonderful experience here - we have somewhat of a special needs dog with some challenges and the staff here could not have been more caring and compassionate. We did not feel rushed and they carefully answered all our questions. I've talked with people around town and everyone feels the same - thank you for all you do for our furry loved ones!

We moved to Sturgeon Bay August 1 from an area that doesn't have a high incidence of Lymes disease. My original vet told me to get my dogs vaccinated for Lymes immediately upon moving here. So the first week of August I called Animal Clinic of Sturgeon Bay and explained why I needed an appointment. The soonest my dogs could be seen was the second week of September. Since that was the best they could do, I took the appointment. The last week of August I received a phone call from them telling me the vet was going on vacation the week of my appointment and I would have to change it. The soonest appointment they could offer me was the second week of November. It is now five days before my appointment and I just got another call from Animal Climic of Sturgeon Bay stating that the vet I was scheduled with is retiring so I needed to reschedule. The soonest they can offer me is the third week of December. So here I am with unvaccinated dogs for almost 4 months. I'm sure if I take the December appointment I'll just get another phone call telling me they can't see me again.If you're looking for a vet go someplace else. These people don't care about animals.

A few weeks ago my dog started choking on his bone, we headed to the animal clinic of sturgeon bay immediately. On the way I called them to let them know, and told them it was an emergency. I was put on hold and then transferred to a lady who sounded annoyed and was very rude. She started asking for my information- to spell my last name and all of that. She was having a hard time hearing me so I told her we were almost there and asked if I could finish giving her my info at that time. It wasn't until THEN that she informed me that there wasn't a doctor available and there was nothing they could do and that I should just turn around to Green Bay. Didn't offer a suggestion as to how to help my my choking dog or anything. People that heartless should not work in the animal business. I will NEVER bring a pet there.

Animal Clinic of Sturgeon Bay provides high quality care and customer service. My two rescue dogs contracted a kennel cough from a visiting dog, and were seen within 2 days of my initial call to the clinic. Because my dogs were recent rescues, and I had also recently moved to Door County, the dogs received examinations at no charge to me. Big relief and a pleasant surprise! The friendly staff and doctors were very accommodating with information and care for my dogs. I even received a follow-up call from the veterinarian, who wanted to check in on the condition of my dogs. Highly recommend Animal Clinic of Sturgeon Bay.

We were vacationing in Door County with our dogs and we needed a vet. They were great - they got us in right away. It wasn't an emergency, but our dog was very uncomfortable, so it was urgent to us and they recognized that. The staff was great and contrary to another review , no mention of payment was made until we were done. The vet and her assistant took several minutes to let our dog warm up to them before they started doing anything. They spent a lot of time with us and after we were done, the vet wrote a detailed report for us to take to our vet when we got home. It was a very good experience and I would recommend this clinic to anyone.

I just read a review of the Animal Clinic from last year, and I had quite a different experience. We have taken our pets to the A.C. for many years. And when it was time to have our dog put down, not one mention of payment was made. The staff was absolutely wonderful, caring, and thoughtful!!! They even sent us a sympathy card signed by everyone at the clinic. Weeks later when our dog's ashes were returned after cremation, they mentioned the bill from weeks back with no pressure. By then I was feeling better about the loss of our dog and was ready to talk about our bill. A sick and/or dying pet is such an aweful situation to have to deal with--I'm so sorry for Juliet's loss.

I just read a review of the Animal Clinic from last year, and I had quite a different experience. We have taken our pets to the A.C. for many years. And when it was time to have our dog put down, not one mention of payment was made. The staff was absolutely wonderful, caring, and thoughtful!!! i had a kitten that was sick an dieing and i didnt have the money right away i explained that when i called and asked if i could make a payment plan because if this kitten didn't get in she would die they didnt care about the kitten all they cared about was their precious blood money and now my kitten is dead i wouldn't recommend them if they were the last vets in this town!how they could improve....hmm....maybe start caring about animals like they say they do
