Been going to prairie vet associates for years. Was disappointed they merged with another in town vet. Had an issue with one of my cats eyes. The new merged team said it would be over a week to get in. No thanks. Called these guys and they got me in same day. Took care of my cat. Nice people. Nice vet who explained everything. They have my business going forward. Only four stars cause I have only been there once. If things are the same going forward I will change it to 5. Bumped it to 5 as they called to follow up. Today was my first visit since Gregg and Michele left and I was not impressed. If you set appointments with people you should respect their time and ensure that they are not left waiting. There's a reason that Gregg was "our vet" since 1994. This corporate change is already ruining the charm that made us entrust 5 dogs' care to one man. Read Less

I cannot speak highly enough about the staff, especially Dr. Beth and Kathy! Dr. Beth has taken such good care of our 2 cats for some time now. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for veterinarian care. She truly loves what she does and has a wonderful bed side manor with humans. I just had another terrible experience here. They lost my business over a rude vet tech at reception a year ago. I still went there for grooming because I liked Janice their groomer. I wanted to bring our other dog there for grooming. I handed this rude person my paperwork for our recently adopted dog and was told in less than 2 minutes without asking someone else that this wouldn't do. Of course the Information about the rabies was on there at the bottom of the adoption paperwork from the shelter. I went back and showed them the paperwork to prove it after talking to the Vet/Owner in charge. No one even apologized in a sincere manner. Never again!!! I'm now going to East Towne Pet Clinic. Love it there! We board there, they have a small dog daycare and grooming services which we will now be using. It's less than 3 miles away from Sun Prairie. I guess I should really thank this awful place for making me choose a better vet clinic with staff that actually care. Read Less

Dr Beth was awesome in diagnosing the problem with our 9 month old lab. She listened as we explained his symptoms, performed an exam and when she realized the critical state he was in she acted immediately. He had surgery the same day to remove an intestinal blockage. We have several pets, all cared for by the Animal Hospital of Sun Prairie. Every interaction is professional and kind. When all of our senior pets passed away within a short time frame, they sent their sympathies, which meant a lot to our kids. And when the kids were ready to get pets again, they answered all of their questions about pet ownership. Highly recommend! Read Less

We took my family dog here for grooming and vet care for 15 years. They had such wonderful service that when I adopted my own dog a week ago, I didn't even think to look anywhere else to take my new friend! Dr. Kim was great with my dog today and took her time to answer any of the questions I had about my new fur baby's breed and her recommendations for various aspects of care for him (dental care, hair care, etc.) The front desk staff was also wonderful in all aspects, from me making the appointment, to getting the papers from my dog's previous vet, and checking in and out. Animal Hospital of Sun Prairie came highly recommended to us when we moved to SP. For eight years, the vets, groomers, and other staff did a fabulous job caring for our dogs. When our dogs were at their end stages, Dr. Kim was a tremendous support for our family. She listened, gave gentle guidance, and followed up after they passed. We took our husky there for grooming again (previously no problems) and they literally butchered her. When we took her to the kennel for doggy day care the people there said, "oh my god what happened to your dog!?" We hope the coat isn't ruined, but only time will tell. They should know you don't shave a pure bread long hair double coat husky. What's worse, the owner of the groomers said it was "what we wanted" and blamed us for the mistake....but to make it better we can get a free bath...our doggy day care took pictures which are now displayed in their office warning other owners to NOT take their pet here to be groomed. No matter the type of appointment scheduled in advanced or called ahead because of an unexpected injury they have been happy to have us. Very accommodating. Dr. Beth and the staff are very friendly and the passion they have for helping animals really shows in their work. Everyone is always smiling and willing to answer questions and give advice. I've been to vet offices elsewhere that seem like they're just there to do the job and punch out, but they all seem to love it there and I think that's extremely important in this field! Plus they send adorable post cards reminding you when it's time to come in for your next appointment and check up on your critter. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Read Less

For 20+ years I have come to this Hospital. Within this time frame, I have had multitudes of experiences, the majority of them would be 5 star. On rare occasion I may have experienced the front desk so busy that a newcomer might be questioning service, had they not understood the challenges that the opposite side of that counter might be facing. They are busy and bustling at times. My eyes are always met with a smile, regardless of the availability of an individual to me, at that time. I have had ample opportunity to challenge each doctor's time. Having multiple animals who receive care- Major surgeries (many) to minor questions answered. I always have a back up veterinarian for the rare occasion that I cannot be seen on that day. In an emergency, during the day, I have always been seen. After hours the ER is located on both East and West sides of Madison.( In an emergency, it never feels convenient) Your veterinarian will have all info about your ER visit by morning. Over the years, I feel the docs have increasingly exceeded my expectations. They just keep getting better! Every business strives for professionalism within. I took my dog there today because she was having a major seizure. I was disappointed in the lack of response by the person at the front desk. In an emergency situation, you need to react differently than an appointment for a routine checkup, etc. I explained to the person that we had an emergency but obviously she needs a copy of Websters which defines emergency as an unforeseen combination of circumstances that calls for immediate action. After spending 10 minutes filling out paperwork, I was advised that all the rooms and doctors were busy. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The Animal hospital staff, Dr. Stephens, Dr. Kim, all the vet techs, Janice Dodge & the grooming department have taken care of all 4 of our dogs. And when we had an emergency yesterday with Giz they not only saved her, they kept me calm. And this morning my 1st phone call was from them checking on her.
