Staff is good and pleasant. Boarding price is good. I feel ok with the boarding service. One major concern that I have is it seemed that my dog gets diarrhea when he stays there. Perhaps, a suggestion is to improve the hygiene of the inside and outside environment of the facility. Read Less

I utilize both veterinary and boarding services offered at Pineview and I've generally been pleased with both. At the pet resort, I like they customize the level of socialization my pet receives. The veterinary staff also have been wonderful to interact with, though I with they were more proactive in diagnosing and treating my pet’s dental condition. Read Less

All of our dogs have boarded here over the last several years. They always come home having obviously had a good time, and we love receiving emails and photos of our pet while we're away. The staff is absolutely amazing with every interaction, whether it be in person, over the phone, or even responding to an email apparently written by our dog himself asking for a steak dinner during his next stay. When my sweet but idiotic dog ingested tapeworm eggs from gnawing on a dead rodent during one of our hikes I took her to Pineview to get some de-worming meds.  When I called to make an appointment the receptionist was able to get me in much sooner than expected. Upon arrival the staff was incredibly warm and friendly. The veterinarian Dr. Julie James was just wonderful with my dog. And the visit was not as expensive as I anticipated! I chose this veterinarian by prior reviews and by the recommendation of my neighbor who has two very sweet and loved rescues.  I know he'd give them quality care as I know how well those dogs are treated.This was an animal hospital so I wasn't entirely sure they did ordinary vet visits until I called.  (They do!)  The staff is very kind, clearly animal lovers and they also did a thorough check.  They contacted my old vet and transferred our dog's records over even though I have my files - they wanted more detail.  During the exam the veterinarian was thorough, asked about his history, checked for any problems and explained all vaccines and also gave me a price estimate which was a lot more reasonable than I expected.The doctor was kind and gentle and even though my mellow guy is pretty easy to work with she climbed down by us and made sure to give him some love before the shots.  I am very pleased with the beautiful facility and excellent care. We were introduced to Pineview a few years ago by a friend. We started with boarding since we lived 70 miles away. We have since moved to within 25 miles and have all the services available to us. I Love this place! I only wish I found it 3 years ago when i first moved to Madison. I've taken my dogs here for boarding on 2 occasions, and they have been well taken care of. They receive lots of attention and exercise, I think they go outside for playtime 5x a day for 45min which is great for my active dogs. Read Less

Best place I have ever taken my dog for daycare/ boarding! Prices are extremely reasonable and facility is spotless! I have taken my boy to many other places and they all wreaked like urine and he always came back stressed and anxious.. Not at PINEVIEW! He is so happy when we get him and he is exhausted from play. It is also nice to know that the boarding facility is connected to the vet, just nice to know that if anything did happen you know he could receive the care needed right away. I recently began taking my elderly dog for veterinary care at Pineview after using their boarding services in the past. I am so impressed and pleased with the service I have received. The staff takes the time to listen, both the technicians and Dr. Meffert. Thanks to the knowledge and thorough diagnosis/treatment, I now have answers about my dog's health issues that I was not getting from her previous vet. I have never felt rushed or like my opinion or thoughts did not matter as I have felt at several other clinics in the area. The genuine concern and attention given my dog makes getting through this time so much easier. And even with all the 'extra' care (really what a good vet clinic should always be doing), the costs are less than I was paying for sub par care. I highly recommend Pineview! Read Less

I have been boarding my 4 pets at Pineview for many years.The faciility is clean and well maintained.The manager and staff have always been professional and very friendly. When I pick my pets up after several days of boarding, they look and act health and happy.Their coats are always in good condition too (unlike my experience from other boarding facilities). I have never been so disgusted with a boarding facility. We left our two dogs with them for 10 days when we were on vacation because of their “stellar” reviews (most of which are put up by their staff). We got our German Shepherd back with the most horrendous ear infection our vet has ever seen. Our dog was in agony due to an infection that festered for well over a week. We were told by the staff that it was “JUST” an ear infection, however it was so severe due to their total neglect that he needed 2+ weeks of three intense medicines and was on the verge of losing his hearing. The staff was simply awful to us when we inquired about how they could let this progress to such an agonizing infection. They said they are not responsible to look over the dogs health and we should be happy that they were fed and kept safe. Safe? We are outraged with this despicable facility. Our other dog was found to have scabs on his legs as if he was bit, also had an ear infection and was covered in fun mats. The owner is an awful person and totally dismissed us and our anger. If you care about your pets at all, you will NEVER leave them in the care of this facility. This business should be closed for total neglect to animals. My English Bulldog Bubba loves this place. He has been taken care of by Dr. Julie James since we got him at 7wks. Our first experience with her was so impressive. She just started loving on Bubba and letting him lick her face. It is so obvious she loves animals, made me know we were in the right place. We have since boarded Bubba about every 4-6 wks for the last year since we travel alot and he gets so excited when we drive up. He runs right in and doesnt look back. When I pick him up to bring home, he pouts when I get him home. He misses all the fun he has. Heather who runs the boarding is wonderful and will make sure everything in perfect for your dogs stay.
