I've been taking her there since I adopted her the only thing I did not care for it was they charged me for an annual exam and a rabies shot. All I needed was to get one nail clipped

I stopped in here because, well, it was there 😉.
The ladies behind the counter were friendly, helpful, and speedy. They even laughed at my stupid jokes.
I got my cat food, and headed out.
They're not currently accepting new clients at the moment, and I can see why.
This is obviously a top notch establishment.

I have never been so disappointed in the West Allis Animal Hospital!
For the past 15 years we've been happily taking all of our animals to the West Allis Animal Hospital & have spent thousands of dollars over this time keeping our 4 dogs & 2 cats healthy & happy. I called yesterday shortly before 9am to make an appointment for my 11 year old Rottie whose paw had swollen to the point that she wasn't putting any pressure on it. After being placed on hold twice, I was told that there were no appointments available today & there wouldn't be anything available for "a few weeks". Stunned & almost speechless from her callus words, I asked for any suggestions she might have to fit us into the schedule or help relieve my dog's pain, & she told me to call "any one of the emergency or walk in clinics around town".
After a 15 year relationship with this place, countless visits with all of the vet technicians & doctors there, we will be taking our animals to a vet who compassionately fit us in yesterday at 11:30.

I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years. My weiner dog was particularly fond of Dr. Mentjes and they all were very compassionate when they heard of his passing. My new puppy loves everyone and is not fearful of anyone/anything there. Pricing is good and hours are convenient. When I've had emergencies they have been able to fit me in with my preferred vet each time. While not an emergency hospital they understand sudden issues arise which is great. I highly recommend this place and all the people there!

I had to send my beloved and cherished rescued Rottweiler to Heaven on January 6th, 2017. I cannot express the level of excellent customer care and concern that Amanda expressed to me over the phone repeatedly. I cannot express the level of excellence in the way they treated me during the process. Today I unexpectedly when checking the mail found a heartfelt Sympathy card with Jazzy's paw print attached and signatures from the Doctor and all staff invloved at this clinic bringing me to tears. I will never forget how I was treated and how you made me feel before and now after this traumatic and tragic decision to let her go to Heaven where she deserved to be.

I can't begin to start to explain why WAAH is so amazing. We've been with them for over 20yrs and have had 4 of our babies passaway with them. They are so compassionate and become part of your family just after a couple of visits. They always let you know what the prices of things are before they do them and they NEVER push you into doing something you don't want to do. All of my babies are not afraid to go to the vet either. They get excited and jump right in the car, waging their tails all the way. I would never go any where else. And we've also referred 6 plus people who also love it as much as we do. We love West Allis Animal Hospital.

I have been going to them for over 10 years. I currently have a cat that had small cell lymphoma and Dr. Menjes (sp?) and Dr. Severson were so kind and compassionate and explained the types of treatment Juris could go through. Dr. Nelson is also very wonderful. Last week I took all my cats to the vet. Wonderful Dr. Carroll took care of them and also remained very calm when one of my cats went ballistic and had to be held down with thick work gloves so that she could administer the vaccines. All the vets there are wonderful and explain everything to you in terms that you understand. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the assistants are too. They know my Juris and are so good with him. Even making sure that his head is covered with a towel during the exam because they know that he is more calm that way. I will never go anywhere else.

I would highly recommend this clinic for top of the line service, compassion, and awesome support staff. Dr. Mentjes has gone above and beyond for our family in the time of our pets needs. Prices are very reasonable, which is an added bonus for families where every dollar counts.

Our Pit bull broke her front leg,and the ER told us she was bone cancer. We took her to West Allis Animal Hospital for treatment, they did a great job with a dog who is afraid of people. The amputation went well, the scare is acceptable and the dog recovered quickly. The Doctor was an advocate for pain medicine, he also had concern for my oldest child(6) who was sad because she broke the leg. We are going back for follow up treatment with the same doctor.

Outstanding and in fact, we switched from Wauwatosa animal hospital because of the prompt service, the clean facilities, and the consistency of the doctors as the other vets seem to have a new person at every appintment. My husband, a physician was so impressed by the doctors and the operating areas. We liked the compassionate way our animals have been treated and the willingness of the staff to help us whatever the dilemma with our many animals. I give then 5 stars out of 5.

I went there for the first time today with my dog and I definitely found the place I'll be taking all of my animals from now on. I've been searching for a new clinic after my favorite vet retired and it's perfect. Incredibly friendly and happy staff; they were all very helpful and informative. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much! :-D

Dr. David Mentjes was my vet when he worked in the Falls. I followed him to West Allis Animal Hospital when he switched jobs. He has taken care of my kids for over 15+ years. The Vets don't rush you and take whatever time you need. Highly recommend the Vets and their staff.

I have been going to West Allis Animal Hospital for 6 years. Our family currently has 4 furry kids. I would highly recommend this clinic for top of the line service, compassion, and awesome support staff. Dr. Mentjes has gone above and beyond for our family in the time of our pets needs. Prices are very reasonable, which is an added bonus for families where every dollar counts.

Our Pit bull broke her front leg,and the ER told us she was bone cancer. We took her to West Allis Animal Hospital for treatment, they did a great job with a dog who is afraid of people. The amputation went well, the scare is acceptable and the dog recovered quickly. The Doctor was an advocate for pain medicine, he also had concern for my oldest child(6) who was sad because she broke the leg. We are going back for follow up treatment with the same doctor.

Outstanding and in fact, we switched from Wauwatosa animal hospital because of the prompt service, the clean facilities, and the consistency of the doctors as the other vets seem to have a new person at every appintment. My husband, a physician was so impressed by the doctors and the operating areas. We liked the compassionate way our animals have been treated and the willingness of the staff to help us whatever the dilemma with our many animals. I give then 5 stars out of 5.
