Do not take your pets here. My two year old dog nearly died here due to negligence. My dog had been puking all night and would not eat any food in the morning so I took him in to Dr.Belleville to get looked at. He told me that my dog had a flu and to wait a couple days and it would go away. By the next day my dog was still not eating, not drinking, and was so lethargic he would not respond to his own name, so I took him in again. Dr.Belleville ran a blood test and the test came back showing a high white blood count and low chlorine (sign of dehydration). He sent my dog home and told me to wait a couple more days. I asked him if there could be anything wrong that did not show up on the test and he said NO unless it is a rare disease. This made me very uneasy, it felt like I was watching my dog die, I did not understand how he could send my dog home who was not drinking water and told me to wait. I called two other vets in the area to see if this was common practice. Honestly, I was hoping they would tell me I was crazy and just to listen to the vet, but they had the opposite reaction. Both receptionist told me to get to the emergency clinic right away. They said they could look at the dog the next day but were afraid it may be too late by then. So I took my little guy to the DMV clinic. The vet techs could immediately tell something was really wrong due to my dogs severely low energy level. The vet took a look at him and within three minutes diagnosed that a foreign body was stuck in his small intestine. She could even feel the object (a large clump of hair) while she was examining him. She also let me know that he was extremely dehydrated. They did an ultrasound, and an x-ray that proved her diagnosis was spot on. They gave him I.V. fluids and he was on the operating table two hours later. The vet bill at the emergency clinic ended up costing me $4000. It was 3x more expensive than at a local vet because the surgery took place on off hours (1am). The next day I went back to this clinic to explain my story and was hoping to at least get the money back from the two visits that were of no help. They refused and I was told that my dog wasn't dehydrated and that the foreign object must not have been stuck in him four hours earlier when I had taken him in. I get angry and sad thinking about my story because I fear for other dogs who may not get taken in to the emergency clinic. I understand that dogs can not communicate what is wrong with them, but I felt the vet ignored loud signals that my dog was not okay. My dog did not have a rare disease, he had swallowed something he was not supposed to, something dogs do frequently. TLDR; Went to this vet twice in two days because my dog was puking, not eating, and not drinking. Both times told me it was the flu. Ended up going to the emergency clinic and had an emergency surgery because my dog swallowed a hairball. The surgery cost me $4000 because it had to be done at 1am (3x what it had been if diagnosed and treated when I initially took the dog in). This vet refused to compensate the two useless visits. On first impression I thought this vet was great, but when I saw all the mistakes they made that could possibly put my cat's health in serious risk I was hurt and angry. I went in for the treatment of his skin because of constant, aggressive scratching he was making his skin around hie eyes and ears bleed. I did not think it was fleas and they checked and confirmed it was not fleas but allergies and quickly prescribed cortisone pills and creams that apparently all cats are prescribed so it is very 'safe' as well as telling me I need to put him on their prescription diet and change his food. I didn't mind the food, but I question everything because I don't believe in pills myself but I trusted the vet to care about pets and know what she was doing. I also wanted information on vaccinations. In the 9 years I have had my little guy, he never has been vaccinated because I was worried from all the negative information surrounding vaccines for pets but I wondered if it might better protect him since I travel with him and he is exposed to other people's pets. WHAT THE VET SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME before sticking him with 2 vaccines, one being the FIV, was that he NEEDS TO BE TESTED FIRST, before injecting him with it, because if he is carrying the FIV and it is dormant, THE VACCINE WILL AWAKEN THE VIRUS AND MAKE HIM FATALLY SICK!! I noticed right away he was out of it and not himself, really lethargic, looking confused and disoriented, doing things out of character, and even vomiting gel-like substance and sneezing/wheezing a lot suddenly. I called the vet right away and they assured me it was fine that it was probably just the medication and it was 'normal'. Again, against my better judgment, I trusted them and continued giving him the medication. What sent me over the edge with all of it, was when 2 weeks later while still on the meds, he started scratching again really aggressively so I called again and they said I should just give him a double dose of the pills and prescribed me another bottle which I warily bought, but at this point, I was starting to question their veterinary knowledge because they were constantly dismissing my concerns for his worrisome reactions/character change since the medications. I couldn't tell whether it was the vaccines or the medication but the final straw for me was when after being advised to give him 2 pills, the very same day he jumped up from the bed and head first into my closed window, which has been closed all season long and he KNOWS this, it's as if the pills caused him a form of dementia and he forgot, or he was so out of it he didn't know what he was doing but he has NEVER done that, he knows the window is closed and even in warmer months when the window is open he has never jumped into it like that. I freaked out because he hit his head so hard I've been worried the last 5 days that he may have a concussion so I am constantly monitoring him. I immediately stopped giving him the meds and returned them to the vet, who refused to give me a refund for them, even after explaining the situation and what was happening to my cat! How quickly they wanted to wash their hands of me when the treatment they recommended him caused a severely negative reaction they kept reassuring me there was nothing to worry about but from second opinions I discovered they were giving me false information and putting my cat's life in danger! They don't seem to care and were giving me really judgmental looks amongst each other when I voiced my concern for him, especially when I asked them why they didn't advise me to have him blood-tested BEFORE just giving him vaccines to make sure his health was good otherwise the vaccines could make him really sick. They really either don't know what they are doing, don't care, or they are lying because they don't want to take responsibility for malpractice! My cat has been with me 9 years and never reacted like this prior to seeing the vet last month! He means the world to me and I am hurt and disgusted by this vet they don't care about animals and now I'm worried sick for him :( Read Less

They have always been very nice and helpful, very organized to remind me of appointments, were very reassuring when my cat got sick for a kidney failure and UTI. Doctors give very clear explanations and show empathy to the owners. Pension is very clean (especially compared to some other places) and I know that my cat is well taken care of. I moved away to South-West 6 years ago and still go there for his appointments. It's definitely a good match between him and the staff there ! I highly recommend this place ! Read Less

BE CAREFUL DR JOELLE QUIRRON -This is the ugliest and most dangerous clinic i ever seen! They have a doctor that it interested only to get money from you - i came there with my 5 month puppy (1.5 kilo weight) and she wanted to make her at once 3!!!!!! Vaccinations!!!!!! One vaccination was Kennel cough and my dog was actually sick with kennel cough at that moment!!!!Another vaccine vas rabbis that is very serious vaccination as everyone knows! and third vaccination also wanted to do at the same time!!!!! I said to her no sorry i am not going to do it now and more over i am not going to do all at the same day!!!! omg how many animals did you already kill?????? at the same time she tried to convince me to buy vitamins that my dog will need only in one year when she will grow up, come on!!!!!why i need to buy them now if i wont need them for one year ?????also she pre scribed me eye drops antibiotics and three month anti worming medicine that i actually did not ask her and found out about it at the cashier only!!!!!! After all these i received a call in about couple weeks -smth like why you do not come to us you need to make vaccinations???? i was mad and said sorry i wont come to you and gave them reasons. but today 2 month later i received a letter in my mail box saying me that i missing appointments and i need to come and do vaccinations for my dog!!!!!!!!! these people just money makers - the do not care about your animals at all - the doctor name is DR JOELLE QUIRRON - please do not pay attention that she look nice and smily - she wanted to give 3 vaccinations to my dog at once !!!!!! she actually wanted to kill my small puppy !!!! she is only interested in money trust me!!! And another my breeder told me he also brought a dog there and she said that his dog had cataract on both eyes and need serious treatment !!!! he did not trust her and went to another place and they said that there was no cataract at all!!!!!!!!!!! Please be aware of this place!! be carefull people and be more attentive to all that these people say and do! cause unfortunately these private clinics mostly interested in only earning money but not it caring about our pets!!!!
