The doctors and technicians here are all very knowledgeable and friendly. They have taken excellent care of my current dog as well as many of my foster dogs. My dog gets stressed and anxious very easily and the staff at the clinic are always more than accommodating -- and I cannot stress this enough. They give my pooch the best care and I never worry about them charging me for anything unnecessary. I think this clinic is probably better suited for dogs than cats. I have been here three times. Today there were two techs and the vet in the room, they were all on my cat at once grabbing around his whole body roughly instead of scruffing him. It escalated a lot and my cat was screaming like I'd never seen him before. The last time I was here several years ago for oral surgery for my cat, a tech complained to me when I came to pick him up that my cat bit her and told me I should apologize to her. I am curious how he was handled that day as it was the first and only time he'd ever bitten anyone and he's now scared of the clinic, but I wasn't there to witness. I'm not jaded, I know cats can be defensive and combative at the vet. In the past, multiple new vets have always been able to calmly administer vaccinations without upsetting my cat. He is very friendly with strangers. Today, he greeted the vet when he came in the room and rubbed against him for petting (vet didn't pet my cat). My cat was visibly nervous but mostly relaxed, sitting on the examination table in the room or my lap. The vet was able to examine him without issue, 40 mins in the room without a problem. He hissed at the vet once when poked with the vaccine syringe and they came back with gloves, towels, 2 techs, and a muzzle because I wouldn't let them bring him to the back room as they suggested where I wouldn't see what was going on (this was just for a vaccination). It was the same treatment for the vaccination of my second (very timid) cat. I won't be going back because obviously they have something in my file about my cat biting that tech and they treat him like a feral animal. I think this sort of treatment would encourage my cats to be less friendly and more hostile to new people. I am really upset today and my cats are healthy! I wouldn't want to put them in this situation when they are actually sick. I am hoping one of the cat-only clinics in town will be better suited to diffusing the stress of a cat at the vet rather than escalating it. Read Less

When we pass by the vet on our walks, my 6 month old puppy sits on top of the entrance stairs and cries. We have to literally DRAG her away from the vet. Just today, when we were leaving after picking up her flea medication, we had to carry her out because she refused to leave. I have never seen a dog love the vet so much, and I credit that to the wonderful attentive staff who are so lovely to her and take such good care of her when she's there. They're ready and willing to answer any questions on the phone, and have always taken the time to thoroughly explain all her vaccines and treatments. They're all truly kind and professional! I've taken my dog here for years and have had a very positive experience. The vet technicians are extremely helpful if you need to call in with a question and the vets that I've seen (Dr Zollo and Dr Weissman) have always been extremely helpful whenever I've had any problems/concerns with my pup. Do not order anything from their web store. I ordered $100 worth of dog food and it was never delivered. The vendor/distributor said I had "verbal" agreement to leave the food without signature but I said no such thing. They said "verbal" so they can't show any proof. I haven't had any vet services from this clinic because we moved before we really needed anything, however they have amazing products for dogs and cats and deliver from their site online. We order everything from there including food and skunk spray (skunk off) which was amazing!! I've contacted them a few times when I've been concerned about my dogs, and they always gave me great advice. They are more interested in helping than in just making a sale, which is why they have helped me and yet they weren't even my dogs vet. Good kind and friendly people who truly love animals. Great vet, good price. My Little guy is a rescue and is terrified of most people unless he really knows you. They handled him with care and made sure to give him lots of treats to settle down. I was very very happy with the service. Dr. Zollo was my vet. She was very good with my cat. The service was fast, I did not have to wait longer than 5 minutes for my appointment. There were no issues when I needed to reschedule my appointment. Dr. Zollo did not try to push extra vaccinations I did not need. When I left and paid the bill, it did not feel overpriced. I wish I could give this place 6 stars. The staff is super friendly and actually seem to genuinely care about your pet's wellbeing. My poor puppy went in there for an emergency operation and I was greeted with open arms. I must have called the poor staff 400 times that day and every time they answered my call and gave me updates. We brought our cat here when she got very sick and we discovered a huge mass on her.  After coming back multiple times and spending a lot of money on various tests, the results were still inconclusive and we never even received a proper follow up.  All that we got was someone calling to ask if she was better, but the vet never even called back when he said he would after reviewing the test results.  When our cat got sick again, and we went to ask about the previous tests, we were told that it was our fault that we didn't give them all of the pertinent information (when it was obvious that this vet wasn't even listening in the first place and hadn't read the cat's medical history).  We are extremely disappointed with the uncaring and arrogant behaviour that we've encountered here.  I find it very odd that nobody seemed to care when we asked for our file to go elsewhere and stated that it was because the service and level of care was not good. I am very disappointed with this clinic. I found them to be unclear, deceptive, overpriced and at times even ignorant. In short, out for the $. They suggested expensive tests with no clinical implications and misquoted prices. Further, I found their advice to border on the the absurd. At one point I was told that for the rest of his life I should stop my 4 year old dog from running and stopping short. While I no longer live in Montreal as of Sept 2012, this was my regular vet clinic since 2009 when my cat was just 7 weeks old. My cat was sick at about 2 1/2 months with severe diarrhea. We performed various stool tests to see if there were any parasites and put him on 2 different diets to see if it was a simple case of immature digestive system. It turns out to be the latter when he was finally producing good stools with a prescription of special Royal Canin food. I had him neutered there, no problem. While I did spend a good amount of money for all the tests, I still found it relatively affordable, especially going through the motions. A regular visit was $65, so I think it's worth the regular check up. Whenever I go, there may be 2 people waiting at most, but often times I'm the only person in the waiting area. There have been everything from a giant Great Dane to small dogs and my cat has always been fine, albeit quiet but nervous. I've always had a good experience and the staff is friendly. I recommended a co-worker to go to this place since she lived nearby and she was very pleased with their service. Her old 14yr old cat was sick and unfortunately, he was diagnosed with fluid in his lungs and wouldn't be able to survive unless he was put on some type of device that would drain the lungs on a regular basis (sounded too complicated). So with a heavy heart, he was put to sleep peacefully. In return, the clinic had sent a condolence card with the cat's paw print in ink. Isn't that the most ridiculously sweet gesture?! Bless their hearts, honestly. The cat passed in 2011.So, all this to say, if the service is as good as it has been since I've been going there, I'd totally recommend to bring your pets to this place. I'm very impressed with this vet office.  Almost no wait before our appointment.  I have a very nervous, fairly large dog, and these folks are very calm and understanding.  They prep all shots, and exam gear ahead of time, minimizing the amount of muzzle-time required.  They are very affordable ($75 for a basic checkup).  I didn't get any notion that they over-sell anything, unlike vets I've been to in the past, who use emotional blackmail to get owners to buy unnecessary things.  They did offer special vet food, but were perfectly cool when I declined.I docked them one star, because there were three large dogs, and two cats roaming around in the hall.  I thought this was a bit disorganized, especially after they asked me "have you seen a large black cat anywhere?"  No big deal, but worthy of a minus-one. I had to take my 14 years old dog for what I thought would be a basic check-up. Dr Zolo took care of Nouky, he was already sick but it got worste at that time. She was beyond exceptionnal, she kept the dog a whole day and she called me twice to keep me inform of what she was doing and how was my dog. Unfortunatelly the health of Nouky was going very bad and Dr Zolo prepared me for what comes next with the sweetest word ever and a great compassion.On top of being extremelly professionnal and knowledgeable she has great empathy.A month after I came back to the clinic to say goodbye to my dog. The vet and the staff were great ! Dr Zolo let me stay with my dog and she explained every step of the procedure. After Nouky was gone, they all came to me with a word or a nice attention.This is not all, few days ago I got the great surprise to have a letter from the clinic. It was a condoleance card, signed by the vet and all the staff with the last food print of my dog ! I've never imagined a vet clinic could care that much about a dog and his owner.
