Our cat went here for boarding 2 times. Both time for about 3 weeks. The first time was ok. The last time when we went they said our cat need vaccination we said ok but after 3 weeks they didn't give her any vaccine and didn't contact us. They didn't let us see the boarding place when we went to get our cat we are sure because it's dirty and they charged $425.50 before tax it's not the same price when we went the first time(in June last year) became more expensive but our cat didn't get good care. Depuis 6 ans, j'ai déménagé et je continue de me rendre à l'HVJ mme si a implique une bonne heure de route. Le service y est incomparable, le personnel très compétent, leurs prix plus que compétitifs et surtout, on s'y présente sans rendez-vous pour le renouvellement des vaccins ou de la prévention des parasites. Brought my dog to get her nails clipped. The receptionist tried convincing me to go somewhere else because it's cheaper. I declined insisting I wanted a professional and was willing to pay the price. - they came back telling me they had accidentally clipped two nails too short and they were bleeding. I went back a few weeks later for a full checkup. They charged me the taxes under another clients file, gave me medication under a different dogs name and gave my dog 550$ worth of vaccines because the owner, who was seeing my dog couldn't understand her English medical records. Got a call back from the clinic saying I hadn't paid my bill - they billed taxes under another clients name, I had the owner call me back. His explanation for the poor service is that his waiting room was full that day and it was very busy. This business is all about money, not about taking care of your pets. I will never go back and should have known better after they charged me 26$ to clip my dogs nails and left her bleeding everywhere. Read Less

This is the only place that helped me find a solution for my nice-at-home-nightmare-at-the-vet cat. She had a cancer on her paw last year, so it is vital that she gets her annual checkups - something many other vets have simply skipped in the past. Even though I had to put down my cat, the whole staff was very supporting especially the vetenerian....they do love animals and are honest with you and the guy at the reception was very kind even to bring down my bill for my loss. It was just as difficult for the vet as it was for me to put down my cat. I would go back there with my other cats in knowing they will get the best service. We should have more vets like him. I only visited this office once but had a terrible experience. My dog was showing signs of pain and stiffness in his back. The Vet did a preliminary exam and suggested medication. He then took my dog into the back for a private exam, then suggested my dog needed X-rays. He warned me they were expensive but I was worried so I agreed. I left my dog there and waited for the results. When the Vet called me at home he told me they weren't sure of the problem, anf that my dog would need medication, but would first need a blood test to see if the medication was safe him to take. When I returned to office my dog was so heavily sedated he could barely walk, couldn't control his bowels, and he was extremely distressed later in the day when it wore off. They then told me I would have to pay an extra $250 for the blood test, but I could start the medication regardless of the results. (??) The medication made my dog incontinent and he peed in the house and on himself repeatedly until I stopped giving him the treatment. The X-rays proved to be useless so they suggested I come back for an MRI but I refused and said I would wait to see if he improved on his own (he did). At the end of the day I paid close to $1000, was offered no information, no consolation, felt completely taken advantage of, and my dog was worse off after all. In my opinion these people only want your money (they even tried to sell me items from their boutique when I was in tears over the whole situation) so be very wary if attending this office. Après 18 belles années, la décision difficile est arrivée. Un suivi et des réajustements des traitements plus fréquents lors de la dernière année pour lui permettre davoir une vie confortable, nous ont été conseillés et procurés par les docteurs Fatihi et Sauvé. Lorsque le jour est arrivé et que la qualité de vie ne serait plus possible, le docteur Hicham Fatihi a pris tout le temps nécessaire pour répondre à toutes nos questions afin de sassurer que cétait le meilleur choix pour Cheena. Cest un choix déchirant, mais il fallait penser à sa qualité de vie, malgré sa présence irremplaable depuis 18 ans. Le docteur Fatihi et les techniciennes ont pris le temps qui était nécessaire pour minimiser le stress sur Cheena et lui parlé doucement pendant les procédures malgré sa surdité. Une fois terminé, le docteur Fatihi a encore pris le temps pour nous parler et répondre à dautres questions. Merci docteur Fatihi. I was misdiagnosed when I went there 2 weeks ago. And now, 700$ later, my cat has passed away. I feel the first doctor was just guessing and prescribed me pills (which seem to have led to his decline). When I went back to the vet on the 24th, I was told they don't know what's wrong, and that it's the holiday so go the the emergency clinic. No sympathy, no kindness. I even asked for something to make the cat more comfortable, and I was told no. I feel they contributed to his death and better yet, they charged handsomely for it. Read Less

It's not always fun walking into a vet with your sick pet however I have no complaints with this office. The staff are always more than willing to answer your questions when you call, not to mention welcome you with open arms when you show up in person. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Hopital Veterinaire Journet. When I noticed that my old lady cat was acting strangely, I packed her and my toddler up and hoofed it over to Journet. The completely bilingual counter staff was kind and courteous, and within 10 minutes we were in an exam room with Dr. Fatihi, who gave Lydia the Kittia a complete look-over. He ran some tests (some in-office, some sent out to the lab), and gave me a thorough explanation of the situation and our options. We went home with some medicine and a big free bag of cat chow, awaiting a call back on test results the next day. For an exam, an ultrasound, urinalysis, blood test, some canned food, some painkillers, and the big bag of cat food, we only paid $260. I was expecting about double, and was grateful it was so affordable. We were heading out of town to visit family over Easter weekend, so I asked at Journet if they did boarding or knew of cat-sitters who could come and feed Lydia her antibiotics twice daily. Dan, at the front desk, said, "oh, you live really close. I can do it." And he did. For free. And even left some extra cans of food and a cat toy for Lydz. That's just incredible. That doesn't happen. But it did at Journet. It's a great clinic, with great facilities, great stock for sale in their boutique, great prices for veterinary services (with an effort not to push the more expensive option, but to give you informed choices), and great staff.
